- "We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. Private waterfront log cabin on 7 acres! An absolutely stunning property awaits you. Located on the Chickahominy River. The beautiful interior of this spectacular home offers vaulted ceilings, walls of windows, an open floor plan, an electric indoor and outdoor wood-burning fireplace! There are three large bedrooms, Smart TV's, three full bathrooms, three floors, a large open kitchen & living room & an amazing outdoor living area. Foosball, pool table, hand shuffleboard & 65" Smart TV in basement!

The main floor features a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, Smart TV and a walk in closet, a full sized bathroom with a shower/tub combo, a spacious living room with a Smart TV and DVD player with a ton of great movies to watch, dining room that seats six and a full-sized kitchen which includes an island with four bar stools. Help yourself to the coffee, tea, spices, condiments, salad dressing and snacks we provide! We also have a laundry room with a washer and dryer for you to utilize as you wish.

The upper floor features one loft style bedroom with king-sized bed, Smart TV and a walk in closet, a full sized bathroom with a standup shower with a bench seat with a ton of counter space and a loft style living room with a pull out queen-sized sofa bed.

There's a huge wrap-around porch, indoor electric/outdoor wood-burning fireplace with comfy rocking chairs and additional seating on both front and back patios if you enjoy taking in the fresh air or dining outdoors!

The finished basement boasts a third bedroom with two queen beds, a living room with a 65" Smart TV, foosball, hand shuffleboard, pool table, second stove/oven, additional counter space, sink, full bathroom with a standup shower, a bar and private entryway.

Help yourself to the coffee, tea, spices, condiments, salad dressing and snacks! Guests have access to the entirety of the home with the exception of a hospitality closet. You are welcome to use any of the outdoor areas including the pier and the outdoor fireplace on the front porch!

The owner lives less than one mile from the cabin and is always available if guests need anything or have any questions or concerns. - "We started off our short little trip with a horrid hotel and ended it at this super cute and very accommodating camp ground. We had originally booked just a one night stay at the campground for a 2 day stay & play at bush gardens but then the family decided we shouldn’t drive up then go to the theme park but that we should come the night before. Well we booked a hotel room because the campground didn’t have an earlier night. The hotel was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at, like disgusting so much so that we asked the campground if we could shower there before bush gardens we understood that our cabin wasn’t ready which was fine because the bath house was perfect. We all were able to get ready the kiddos played at the playground it was just a breathe of fresh air after that hotel. We did a late check in after being at the amusement park all day and settled in to bed. It’s a cabin so keep in mind the bed frames are wood and have about an inch or two thick mattress which I would say was the only draw back but otherwise it had a tv ac refrigerator and separation of the two rooms. We really didn’t have time to take advantage of all the fun things the campground offered but we would 100 stay there again and definitely recommend it to friends"
