- "This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious. The grounds are impeccable, with flowers and trimmed hedges everywhere. There are fields and even a little nature trail in the woods on the property. You are in a residential neighborhood, so personal transportation is recommended. Uber and Lyft are typically available, and there is a public bus stop about 1.5 miles away.

We've hosted guests since 1987 in our 10-bedroom Inn (once a barn!) Homemade breads, muffins, fruit cobbler, coffee & juice for breakfast. Near Wintergreen ski & golf, Blue Ridge mountains, dining, brewpubs, wineries, nature, great cycling & hiking!

The space
Bedrooms listed (10 in all) are in the building we call The Inn---a renovated horse barn, still sporting stall doors! Each room has one double bed, desk, wardrobe, side table and big window. The Inn has two kitchenettes, two common areas, a wrap-around deck, a patio, and several shared Men's and Ladies bathrooms (6 toilets, 4 showers, in all). The Inn is separate from our home, which is the office where guests check in. We live on 34 acres, with views of meadows and the Blue Ridge Mountains, in beautiful Nelson County Virginia.

Guest access
The Inn's two kitchenettes include microwave ovens and refrigerators. We also provide an outdoor grill---But due to health dept regulations, no conventional stove or oven is at the Inn.

Other things to note
Our premises are ideal for retreats, small weddings, reunions of all sorts, and groups of friends---OR just perfect as a get-away for individual travelers. According to cyclists (from near and far), the Inn is especially suited for those who love tackling mountains and back-road adventures on 2-wheels---(especially because Martin is a member of that tribe!)
That said, no worries for guests who prefer their "feet on the ground"---Plenty of fun to be had adventuring on area trails, including the renowned AT, accessible just 13 miles up the hill at Reid's Gap.
