Relax and enjoy this cozy, yet luxurious space! Enjoy Mountain Views at sunrise and sunset. Besides the resident horses, you will enjoy seeing deer, rabbits, raccoons and many others. We are located a very short drive from Seven Bends State Park, the Shenandoah River and Muse Winery….as a matter of fact, you could walk! Located within minutes of everything, we are also close to Civil War museums/Historic sites, natural caverns and caves, etc. I may even bake for you, if you’re lucky!!

The space
The cottage has a kitchenette area which contains a medium sized fridge/freezer, Keurig style coffee maker which also brews single servings of ground coffee, a microwave , cups, bowls, utensils, paper plates and some half n half in the fridge. There is a spacious loft equipped with 2 single beds and a day bed/trundle in living area that sleep 2 more. There is a table that seats two, and a tempered glass Pyrex cup for heating water for tea or soup.
Please note that there are some reasonably steep and shallow stairs that access the loft area. If there are mobility issues, the downstairs bed and trundle are very comfortable, but space would be tight downstairs, if you opted for that. This would be a very economical option for four people, but tight in the downstairs area. It is better suited for 1-3 guests.

Guests are welcome to use deck and grill, and can expect to possibly see/share space with hosts.

Please do not rinse coffee filter in bathroom sink…. Rinse outside using Pyrex glass cup over the grass. Please use Pyrex cup to heat any liquid that will get very hot.

Built in 1797, this cottage sits next to the historic William Rupp House, and is #17 on the self-guided walking tour! Although you are staying in a piece of history, you still get the privacy you need to comfortably explore all Shenandoah Valley has to offer. 19.6 miles away from JMU, 5.2 miles away from Endless Caverns, right off Interstate 81, and within walking distance of local stores, coffee shops, and restaurants... buckle in for a load of fun with this convenient location.

The space
Our cottage is an open floor plan, studio style living space, with a private bathroom. The bathroom has an updated standing shower and includes towels, toilet paper, shampoo, and body wash. Entering into the cottage is the main area that has a kitchenette and bed. The bed is a single size day bed that contains another single size bed underneath. When the second bed is pulled out, it will take up the majority of the additional space as our cottage is small and cozy. Linens, pillows, and blankets are provided for your comfort. The kitchenette contains a sink, microwave, dishes, coffee maker, & mini fridge - with freezer. The main area also includes a Smart TV, puzzles, books, and operates on its own central heat and air system!

Parking: You can park on the main street (for free) or in our driveway. Whichever you feel most comfortable doing.

Other things to note
We have three handsome pups (Fluffin, Clarke, and T-Bone) who enjoy frolicking in our fenced in backyard. If your fur baby happens to join you, please feel free to use the unfenced yard next to the cottage for their bathroom needs! Doggie Poo bags will also be provided for you.
