We are a very pet friendly cabin because pest are an important part of your family and should be on vacation with you, we take our dogs on vacation with us, why not you? There is an enclosed dog run right next to the deck for those times that you do not want them running free. ($30 pet fee)

There are no hidden fees in our price, everything included. There are no fees for linens, firewood, cleaning, or charges for extra people. We supply all paper products, and the kitchen is stocked for your gourmet cooking. We try to supply all the staples and spices that you may need in preparing meals.

Smile Inn sits on 3 acres, bordered by woods and fields on 3 sides, and boasts 400 feet or river frontage in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The cabin sits near the end of a gravel road in an area we call cabin alley. The nice thing about the location is it is beyond traffic, noise (except for geese), and dust of vehicles travelling on the road. The road you travel is a country road through forest and along the river, 5.8 miles on the gravel road, and is about 17.5 miles from downtown Luray. It takes 30 minutes to travel to town so get your food before you travel to the cabin, but you are in easy reach of enjoying everything Luray (dining and movies) and the Shenandoah Valley has to offer....or just remain at the cabin and relax in the hammock near the river.

The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, with 2 bedrooms and a loft. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, upstairs bedrooms has 2 double beds and a half bath, and the loft outside the upstairs bedroom has a futon. The downstairs bathroom is divided into 2 separate rooms next to each other, one includes the toilet and vanity, the other a walk in shower and whirlpool bath. (user friendly) The kitchen has updated appliances and includes a microwave, toaster, blender, and combo coffeemaker. The dining area seats 6, and leads out to the screened in porch with another table to dine. There is an open deck beside the screened in porch that also has a table and a gas grill. The living room has a sofa with 2 reclining sides, a separate recliner situated around the gas fireplace. The front porch has a swing and other seating.

Down by the river we have a fire pit and firewood, a picnic table and a hammock. There is a set of stairs down the hill to make access to the lower field easier. There is a canoe and other flotation devices that you may use, but they are use at your own risk.

All the amenities of home are provided including cable TV, WiFi, a DVD player, and phone service.

The area below the cabin that borders the river is perfect if you are planning a small event or family gathering. There is plenty of room to set up tents if you or your kids want to have the full camping experience beside the river. There is an access road that runs along the bottom of the hill below the cabin. To get on that road, travel beyond the cabin 1/4 mile and turn right at the gate, stay on the right hand road until you reach the bottom field. You can use this to bring supplies to the bottom field if you wish.

Again, the drive to town is about 30 minutes on a country road, so make sure you stock up on groceries before you travel to the cabin.

The historic town of Luray, Luray Caverns, Lake Arrowhead, and Jellystone Park are located about the same 30 minute drive. Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are about a 45 minute drive, Wisteria Vineyard and New Market Battlefield will take about an hour of travel. The cabin is located at the base of Massanutten Mountain and borders the George Washington National Forest. There are many hiking trails nearby including the Habron Gap, and Indian Grave Ridge trail. There are multiple trails located along the Massanutten and the Shenandoah National Park.

We do now have good 5G broadband reception for T-Mobile/Sprint service and we provide free high-speed wifi access. The TV does have a HDMI and USB input I have installed both DirecTV stream and Apple TV streaming boxes. Both are connected via a HDMI switch to the TV. We do have a VHS/DVD player and mini library of offerings for it.

The Blue Span Shenandoah Cabin is a romantic and private weekend getaway cabin with fantastic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley. The cabin is a short walk from the Shenandoah River. The cabin is complete with a freestanding fireplace for those special evenings.
This is a very clean modern cabin with rustic touches that brings you comfortably to fully enjoy the splendor of the Shenandoah Valley. The main level includes an open kitchen and living area, one bedroom and one full bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, cookware, bakeware, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffeemaker, electric can opener, tea kettle, usb charger port, and more. The living room is furnished with a sofa, loveseat and recliner, wireless internet, and smart TV. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and smart TV.

Once at the cabin you will open up to a lovely, well equipped kitchen,tiled floor,copper ceiling,dishwasher..A fullsize washer and dryer just installed.Enter the living area, with a gorgeous hand made rock gas fireplace,with built in entertainment center (new 50 inch flat screen),queen size sleep sofa.

Go into the dining area, with seating for 4. Hand hewn logs are on the dining ceiling , with lighting and ceiling fan. The wrought iron spiral staircase leads to the loft area.

In the loft area there is a queen bed, and a half bath.

Down the hallway is a full bedroom with a queen bed and closet. A full bath is also located on the first floor.

It's near our Eagle's Nest, Tree Top and Oak Tree cabins and, like them, is near the river, sitting up high above the river with an area to walk down to the river's edge. It's part of an 18 acre "fish trap" location that was used by ancient American Indians hundreds of years ago.



Eaglet is a cozy cabin with a modern beautiful exterior and interior. Hardwood floors, stainless appliances, flat-screen TVs - everything is new, luxurious and waiting for your personal enjoyment. The Luray caverns were in a walking distance but we drove over and there’s parking at Luray and parking at the Barn that is private. There’s a Walmart not far away. The barn is near from the restaurants strip. The fact that everything is near by, but the location of the barn is retired and peaceful away from everything. There’s also a road near by that connects areas but is not annoying gets super lonely especially at nights. The Barn was loaded with all the needs, in Kitchen, bath and living room. At nights by the fire and great time at the grill, there were two gas tanks full. My Dog had a big land to play. I travel constantly and from my experience I can tell you is a great place to stay for the weekend or more. I hope you get to experience it too."

Please be advised this is a mountainous property. The main roads are paved but the private road on the property is hard-packed gravel. You may experience minor ruts, steep inclines and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property as long as you drive safely and slowly. During the inclement weather of the winter season such as snow or ice you may need 4 wheel drive or tire chains to get up to the property. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months.

Please note that we do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control. We recommend a 4 wheeled drive vehicle or a truck to access this property during the winter season.

Please note that due to the remoteness of this bunker, the cellular Wifi can at times be limited, slow, and/or intermittent. We are able to get Verizon cellular and data service on our phones pretty well most of the time in and out of the property. In the mountains, nature, books, your friends, and your family are your entertainment!

Welcome to our home! Our 1940's Cape Cod welcomes you to Luray for hiking, biking, running, and touring the local sites. Our shared space community allows you to meet and interact with new people and make new friends. The latest check-in time is 10 p.m.

The space
Alison lives on the premises with 2 indoor/outdoor cats and 2 very friendly puppies. Guests will share common areas with the owner, including the kitchen and living room. Guests enjoy the upstairs sleeping quarters and have use of the compact, yet efficient, bathroom. Two sleeping rooms have 3 twin beds and one room has a bunk bed. We even have trains that travel through town with tracks right across the street from the house.

PLEASE let me know when to expect your arrival and BE ON TIME: We both have busy lives. If I have a prior commitment, I will let you know upon booking and will expect you to work with me to find a mutually acceptable check-in time. I will be here at the time stated and will expect you to do the same.

Relax and enjoy this cozy, yet luxurious space! Enjoy Mountain Views at sunrise and sunset. Besides the resident horses, you will enjoy seeing deer, rabbits, raccoons and many others. We are located a very short drive from Seven Bends State Park, the Shenandoah River and Muse Winery….as a matter of fact, you could walk! Located within minutes of everything, we are also close to Civil War museums/Historic sites, natural caverns and caves, etc. I may even bake for you, if you’re lucky!!

The space
The cottage has a kitchenette area which contains a medium sized fridge/freezer, Keurig style coffee maker which also brews single servings of ground coffee, a microwave , cups, bowls, utensils, paper plates and some half n half in the fridge. There is a spacious loft equipped with 2 single beds and a day bed/trundle in living area that sleep 2 more. There is a table that seats two, and a tempered glass Pyrex cup for heating water for tea or soup.
Please note that there are some reasonably steep and shallow stairs that access the loft area. If there are mobility issues, the downstairs bed and trundle are very comfortable, but space would be tight downstairs, if you opted for that. This would be a very economical option for four people, but tight in the downstairs area. It is better suited for 1-3 guests.
