Travel back in time nearly 200 years and stay at the Bazil Gordon House -built by America's first millionaire. Circa 1820, this house started as the private home of Bazil Gordon a short walk from his trading outpost in Historic Falmouth, VA directly on the Rappahannock River. The house has also been a civil war hospital, a stop on the underground railroad, a tavern, an excavation site that found venetian trade beads in the back yard, and it is now completely remodeled in 2021 to host guests.

This was such a fun place to stay, away from the city but close enough to enjoy day trips to the capital and surrounding history. The house is a beautiful mix of its historic significance and modern comforts. The space was perfect for our family of 5 to 6. The house was old and it was exciting to imagine what each room may have looked like 200 years ago. The kitchen was large and modern, the bedrooms were large enough with space to move around. The dining room and living room were comfortable and beautiful. The exposed brick was beautiful. The back yard was a garden! Very lush and beautiful filled with fireflies each evening. THE SPACE
This is a 1000 square foot private entrance two bedroom apartment. It has a large bathroom with a tub/shower. The private entrance with two large side lights (glass) gives a great open feeling and natural light to the great room style just within. It includes a well stocked full kitchen which includes full size appliances including dishwasher, garage disposal, frig, range and small appliances like blender, microwave and not least a Keurig coffee/tea/hot coco maker with a supply of K-cups. A large breakfast bar with stools is handy for visiting with others as you cook. The dining area has multifunction, serving as an eating area with a table with 5 chairs and an office area with desk stocked with some supplies you might need.
The large living room area includes an L shaped couch that two can sleep on with the included pillows and linens. A Queen Air Mattress is available if you prefer for Two upon request. Here you also find the Fire TV and cozy gas fire log stove for a great experience and comfort. The first bedroom includes a queen bed and a pac-n-play for infants you can set up anywhere. Second bedroom sleeps 2 on two single mattresses one being a pull out one and a crib as shown in pictures. Sleeping for 6 plus infant who does not count as a person and stays free if sleeps in the Pack N Play or crib.

The air conditionings and heat thermostat is upstairs so if your not comfortable just give us a text. The thermostat on the center pillar is Heat only for the gas fireplace and may be used in winter for your comfort. Please turn down to minimum when you are out, go to bed or check out. Floor heaters are provided in the bedroom and living area. There are ceiling fans in every area. We usually like it cooler when we sleep in the winter because the central heat dries the air so much so when possible use the electric floor heaters if cold. If you are not comfortable using these Please text us if you are too warm or too cold. If you are not happy we are not happy.

The bedroom closet is available for your things and has the iron and ironing board and extra linens. We have provided paper/office supplies on the desk for your use.

Extra blankets, sheet and pillows for the L shaped couch (not a pullout but comfy) that can sleep 2 is available for extra guest use . Once you park in the driveway, head on down the side stairs to enter the private entrance of the 720 square foot studio apartment. Don't let the word basement scare you. 9 foot ceilings with recessed lighting and two full size windows bring plenty of light and life to the space. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some tunes on the 50 inch Smart TV, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet in this peaceful neighborhood. When you're done kicking your feet up, get up and walk over to the kitchenette where you can whip yourself up a hot meal on the provided hot plate. Don't worry about bringing any pans, we got you covered. Once you're done enjoying your hot meal, take a step into the bathroom, fill up the tub with some hot water and soapy suds, and have a seat.

Now that you enjoyed some tunes, ate a good meal, and had a nice relaxing bath, what more is there to do but to get a peaceful night's rest on the queen size mattress with blackout shades to let you sleep in peace. When you awake, walk back over to kitchenette, make a cup of coffee or tea, and step on out to the deck where you will be greeted by the sounds of birds chirping in the trees. If you look up, you might even see a bird's nest. Whenever it's time to return home, save yourself the hassle of doing laundry at home and clean all your dirty clothes before you depart in the full size washer and dryer. Don't worry about bringing any laundry detergent, unless you are very particular that is; we provide all you need.

Now that I described the space, let me give you a couple of important details to know. We stay on the upper two floors which is completely separate from the basement so you can enjoy your privacy. As mentioned, you will have to go down a flight of stairs so if you're not good with stairs, then stray away. You may see us in the driveway but that's about it. If you want to talk it up, we can talk it up but if you want to be left alone, then we'll leave it at hello and keep it moving. Did I leave out any details? Oh yes, we are about 5 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, another 10 to 15 minutes from the hospital, 15 to 20 minutes from Central Park which features tons of stores and restaurants, and can't forget about the fact we are also only 10 to 15 minutes away from I-95 so you can easily get to wherever else you need to go. We look forward to hosting you in our home and pray that we are able to make you feel at home while you are away from your home.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in historic Falmouth VA, and parts of this home date back to the 1800s. Though it maintains its historic charm on the exterior, it has just recently been remodeled, and therefore, boasts a completely modern/contemporary look on the interior. The house has two private bedrooms on the upper level, both with king-size beds, closets, shades and decor. There is an updated bathroom on the upper level with tiled shower walls and a herringbone-tiled floor. The main level, there is a second bathroom, which includes a stand-alone shower, floating vanity and commode. Also, downstairs, the laundry is located in a closet underneath the stairs, and it has easy access. The front room is considered the living room, while the back room is considered the family room. These rooms flank the central kitchen that boasts all new plumbing, appliances, counters, cabinets, and is completely stocked with the appropriate kitchenware. The kitchen has loads of cabinet and counter space, a sink in the island, and a bar counter for guests to sit and chat. Step outside onto a large deck or down to the private backyard that is bounded by Falls Run Creek, which is flanked by stone walls laid in the 1800s to enable its use as a transportation canal for the movement of goods. The yard abuts the creek, and it is the perfect place to commune with nature, or just relax. If adventurous, follow along the creek to a small waterfall, and then, continue along until it feeds it into the Rappahannock River. Located in the historic town of Falmouth by the Rappahannock River, and just across the river from the city of Fredericksburg, we are in the historic district, conveniently nestled near the Falmouth Bridge. We are within walking distance to a local eatery (Amy's Cafe), and the former home (and now a museum) of artist Gary Melcher. Also nearby is "Falmouth Beach", a local hangout for those who want to enjoy the river, Chatham Manor (a national park), and Pratt and St Clair Brooks parks, which are mostly used for sports and recreation.

The only negatives are the steps leading up to the back porch, which is the most convenient for loading and unloading are fairly steep. Also, there is another pretty steep staircase inside which leads up to the sleeping areas on the 2nd floor. Better be in good shape! "

This peaceful and beautifully decorated house within a short drive to old town Fredericksburg. The property features 3 bedrooms with a king, queen, and two twin beds (one is a trundle that can be pulled out if needed). The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and includes a screened outdoor seating area with a private view of the woods. There are three full bathrooms, with the one off the primary bedroom equipped with a heated bidet. Guests can relax and unwind after a day of exploring the local sites in Fredericksburg, or get in touch with nature by walking the extensive private trails. Enjoy amenities like high speed WiFi throughout the house, three tv’s with loads of FIOS channels and includes one with Apple TV, a washer and dryer, a designated and fully functional office space, and a two car garage with openers. There is a game room in the basement with a pool table (or convert to a ping pong table), TV, and a popcorn maker for enjoyment. Include in the basement is a longe area with a bar, TV, wood stove, and a half bath. Horses are located next door and can be visited during your stay. Having two slide outs to create extra living space, the coach sleeps 8 people including a reclining King size master bed, comfortable sofa bed, and an over head bunk for one adult or two children.

The driver and passenger seat are captain chairs that swivel into the main cabin where a large sofa and two theater style chairs face each other. The coach further includes residential refrigerator, convention microwave, double sinks and 2-burner stovetop and washer/dryer located opposite the bathroom that includes a larger than usual 36x30 shower, sink and toilet. In addition, there are 3TVs including a 50 TV living area TV, a 40 TV by the dinette table and a 32 master bedroom TV.

Outside the coach has one large 20 awning, plenty of storage room. There is a 10.1 touchscreen dash radio with bluetooth, a back up camera monitor and heated wing mirrors with integrated side view cameras while the coach is a pleasure to drive. In fact, it has all the makings of a truly excellent journey!

Located in Lee’s Hill off of Route 17 and Route 1, just minutes from I-95, Southpoint restaurants and shopping, Germanna Community College, Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, and Spotsylvania VRE train station. Just 15 minutes to downtown Fredericksburg and 1 hour to DC or Richmond. This is a comfortable 3rd floor private bedroom with a shared bathroom, 2 living rooms, large back deck, and community swimming pool!

The space
The private room is a 3rd floor, small 11ft by 12ft bedroom, with a large window, facing the street and front yard, with a small closet. The shared bathroom is just next to the bedroom. The bathroom will be shared with another Airbnb guest. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, lamp, fan, dresser and a Amazon Fire smart TV with various free streaming options such as Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Plex, installed. The shared living rooms, kitchen, and dining room are all located on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking tools you need. We have plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and baking sheets. All areas of the refrigerator and pantry are marked for your private use. The first living room, near the stairs, has a large leather couch, recliner, and a large flat screen TV also with an Amazon Firestick for free streaming of Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The second living room, near the back deck, has a leather couch, a fireplace, and 2 leather loungers. The back deck contains a grill, rocking chairs, and a couch. The laundry room is located on the first level near the front door. The pool is a 2 minute drive from the townhouse. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Remember, this is a multi guest, shared Airbnb home. You will have various Airbnb guests staying in other areas of the home, so keep in mind the shared areas of the home (living rooms, kitchen, back deck patio, laundry room, garage, and bathroom). Also, I have a quiet time in the home for your sleeping comfort starting after 10pm.

The shared living rooms, kitchen, and dining room are all located on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking tools you need. We have plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and baking sheets. All areas of the refrigerator and pantry are marked for your private use. The first living room, near the stairs, has a large leather couch, recliner, and a large flat screen TV also with an Amazon Firestick for free streaming of Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The second living room, near the back deck, has a leather couch, a fireplace, and 2 leather loungers. The back deck contains a grill, rocking chairs, and a couch. The laundry room is located on the first level near the front door. The pool is a 2 minute drive from the townhouse. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Remember, this is a multi guest, shared Airbnb home. You will have Airbnb guests staying in other areas of the home, so keep in mind the shared areas of the home (living rooms, kitchen, back deck patio, laundry room, garage, and bathroom). Also, I have a quiet time in the home for your sleeping comfort starting after 10pm.

Last but not least, as in all my listings, I provide complimentary bottled water, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, toilet paper, dish soap, and hand soap! Bottled water is in the garage refrigerator! Help yourself!

This beautiful historic country manor, built in 1785, sits alongside a pond and meadow. The property also includes access to a farm and 50 acres of forest perfect for hiking.

The Manor at Forest Farms is perfect for artists and creatives, or anyone who wants the comfort of a house while enjoying the beauty of nature. Your stay includes access to the trails, which includes a creek for intermediate hikers.

The suite: This private suite is suited for two but can sleep up to three individuals. This bedroom suite offers a bedroom with a queen bed as well as a daybed in the attached living room. There’s a shared full bathroom across the hall and a half bathroom downstairs for your use.

The house: The Manor is a retreat space that houses artists and creatives. A massage therapist and nonprofit professional, both women, currently reside in the Manor. The house is large enough for you to rarely interact with others, and the residents friendly enough for you to enjoy community and good company. Your suite will have plenty of privacy, though you’re welcome to use the office, living room, kitchen or bathrooms for your needs (all are shared).

The property: Built in 1785, the original family relocated the house we call “The Manor” to the farm in the 1970s. It is now part of a sustainability project led by two brothers that aims to preserve the natural wonder of Fredericksburg while also serving as a community and retreat space. The farm includes an assortment of goats, pigs, chickens, and a retired racehorse (she really did retire so unfortunately no rides). You’ll get fresh eggs and veggies from the farm during your stay. Our ethos is balance - come enjoy a bit of peace and balance at this energizing sanctuary!

The location: Halfway between Richmond and Washington DC, this forested area is within 10 minutes of three shopping centers, 20 minutes of two highways, and within driving distance of beautiful historic downtown Fredericksburg. Spotsylvania mall is one exit away, ensuring that all your needs and amenities are easily accessible while allowing you to go to sleep hearing frogs, crickets, and a symphony of soothing sounds of the forest. Wake up to birds chirping, make breakfast with eggs and veggies from the farm, and enjoy a day hiking and exploring.
