We drove in to town (not too far) to find some late-night takeout food, and came back for a quiet and relaxing night's sleep. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious and fueled our day-long tour of the war sites. Be aware that parking is around the back and you might need to roll or carry your bags across the yard and possibly up some stairs. Highly recommended for the lovely environment and the gracious hosting. You will not be disappointed!"

The main floor of the townhouse comes with a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven/stove & microwave. There is a Keurig, as well as a regular coffee pot, cookware and basic kitchen utensils. The downstairs 1/2 bath located off the kitchen has a stand up washer dryer unit, a toilet and sink. On the third floor you will find a large seating area with TV and couch, and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed and dresser.

The backyard is fully fenced with a 6ft privacy fence and 6-unit parking space at the rear of the fenced yard. There is a patio with outdoor furniture and a propane firepit. You will also find a small sitting space on both the front and side porch area of the townhouse. Each porch is railed and semi-private.

A spacious deck with chairs, patio table, and flowers leads to a private entrance. The entryway has a café table and chairs, perfect for morning coffee. A large mirrored closet provides storage, and wall maps display the action of all three days of the Battle of Gettysburg.

The kitchenette has a sink, ample cabinet space, and all necessary appliances and conveniences: refrigerator with freezer, Keurig coffeemaker (ingredients provided), microwave oven, bowls, plates, silverware, pots, pans, teapot, and hotplate.

The living area features a comfortable suede loveseat, propane fireplace, ceiling fan, writing desk with lamp, and smart TV equipped with streaming services. The bookcase has cabinets and drawers for clothes and other personal items. The suite has free wi-fi.

The bathroom has a combination tub and shower, a large vanity and mirror, towels of all sizes, and hair dryer. Body wash, hand soap, and air freshener are provided.

The bedroom, admitting morning light through east-facing windows, has swinging French doors. The bed is a comfortable queen-size with Memory Foam mattress. Linens are provided. There are nightstands and reading lamps, digital alarm clock, bureau, and mirror. On the wall is an adjustable heating-and-cooling unit.

Please note that this suite is most suited to individuals and couples (1-2 people). But we have accommodated families as well, and offer inflatable mattresses in all sizes at no extra charge.

It is a spacious (approximately 2,400 sq ft) and private 2 bedroom apartment with patio. Each bedroom has an extra-long California King bed. There are 3 single beds in the living areas and 1 single bed in the larger bedroom. With advance request, 2 single beds can be made up as an additional king-size bed. The remaining single beds can also be made up as a king for a total of 4 king size beds. All bedding is provided by hosts.

The apartment is open and spacious and on a single level. Doorways are wide enough to allow easy access for anyone in a wheelchair or who has mobility issues. There is ample clearance around furniture and in both bathrooms. A toilet safety rail can be in place before the guest arrives, upon advanced request. The larger bathroom has a walk-in shower. The threshold to the shower is approximately 4" above the floor. The bathroom washbowls are NOT ADA.

The private patio has a gas grill that is for guests only and a table with 6 chairs. There is also a small patio table with 4 chairs that serves as the smoking lounge or a great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning as you watch the sun rise or a cool drink in the afternoon as you take in the view and unwind from a day of touring.

The apartment has Wi-Fi and the password is on a card in the apartment. Internet connection is cable (X-Finity) and our subscriptions to FuboTV provide for live television and Prime Video for movies. The TV is a Smart TV. Instructions for using the DVD player are on the coffee table.
There is a green binder on the bar with information on tours (with prices), house rules, check-out instructions, local restaurants, grocery stores and other attractions in the area.

We provide at no extra charge, dry cereal, bottled water, tea, coffee (K-cups), hot chocolate mix, and popcorn. There is a Keurig for coffee, plus a 4-slice toaster, 2-unit induction cooktop, tea kettle, espresso pot, dishes, silver, pots and pans, a full-size refrigerator, blender and a microwave. There is no oven.

The main bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, shower soap and hand cream. Extra bath towels are in the vanity in the half bath and extra toilet paper is under the sink. The half bath has hand towels and extra toilet paper. The hair dryer is the vanity in the half bath. Iron and ironing board are in the storage closet.

Unlock or lock the apartment from the patio by entering a code on the keypad lock. Each guest is given a new code. No codes are used twice. The guest will receive the entry code by message about a week before they arrive. It does not matter how late a guest arrives. The entire apartment and patio area up to the deck stairs are for the guests only.

The location is excellent. It is only about 5-10 minutes to Gettysburg (depending on where you're going - downtown, to the battlefield, etc.). The patio opens onto a large field that slopes down to a far distant tree line (great place for a morning coffee while watching the hummingbirds.) The neighboring houses are similarly situated, giving it a nice, spacious, rural effect without feeling isolated. Nora is very gracious and responsive, although we really only exchanged pleasantries with her, as everything was already in place. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and would love to stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Gettysburg."

The suite is a 2nd floor, large one bedroom apartment above a law firm. The living quarters is accessed via a private 1st floor entrance, with Smart entry. The entrance hallway is ideal for storing bikes, golf clubs or muddy shoes. A wide staircase leads to the 2nd floor living space and the living room/dining room. The living room has a queen size sleeper-sofa. The living/dining room is highlighted by 10' ceilings and 3 large windows facing the front of the building and a large stained glass window. Separating the living room and bedroom is a large, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. The bedroom is also accentuated with 10' ceilings and 2 large windows. To the rear of the bedroom is the bathroom, laundry and large walk-in closet.

The bed is comfortable. This is an upstairs unit, as described in the listing, so that should be noted by anyone with mobility issues. Enter the home from the street or from a private rear access. The main entry way features a beautiful 1900's stair case with historic decor displayed on the walls.

The spacious living room offers a relaxing space to recline on the leather couch while enjoying a movie or TV show. The big historic windows gleans the light and greenery from the outside, giving a relaxing atmosphere of nature and history.

The upstairs Master Room boasts a view of Gettysburg's historic district. Your king size memory foam mattress is sure to give you a welcoming night sleep. The bunk room offers a custom made bunk room and bean bags to deliver comfort and a home-like touch. The bunk room and Queen room both have balcony deck access. You'll enjoy an early morning breathe of fresh air as you walk out onto your deck.

Dining Room
The Dining room offers a custom handmade dining room made of chopping block. The decor on the walls display some authentic historical pieces of General Sickles, Abraham Lincoln and an art display of Lincolns Gettysburg Address.

Outdoor Deck
The dual-level deck offers a private entrance from the area and a private access from the Queen and bunk rooms. Your deck also offers a nice patio seating area with a gas fire pit.

My house is right along a main road. Traffic noise is not my fault. This is an upstairs bedroom with narrow stairs. There is only 1 bed. I’m not sure why Airbnb has 2 beds listed. The door for the room is in the shared living room as pictured.
Also I usually stay with my boyfriend, who is the cohost on this listing. So we aren’t there unless needed for something.
This listing is 5 minutes away from the Chambersburg Hospital & Wilson College. It is 25 minutes away from Shippensburg University.

Rustic, cozy one-room apartment down a long lane on the Conewago river. The apartment is attached to the house but has its own entrance without going through the main house. Private bathroom and shower included.

PLEASE NOTE: There are several steps in the cabin going down into the kitchen, up into the living room, and down into the bedroom nook. The floor of the bathroom is not completely even. This cabin may not be suitable for senior citizens or those who have problems with mobility.

The space
Unique and cozy place for those who are traveling or for anyone who would like to spend a few days in peace and quiet. There is a Full size bed and a Queen size sofa bed. Sleeps up to 4 people. The Full size bed is very comfortable and was replaced recently. This place has its own entrance/exit separate from the house, so you can come and go as you please. The bathroom and shower are very much like an old cabin style and are not particularly fancy (see pictures), though they're fully functional and we keep them clean. The floor in the bathroom is on a slight grade. We're only 20 minutes from downtown Gettysburg! Though we're not far from Gettysburg, our location is remote and very rural.

The guest apartment that is attached to our house has its own entrance from outside with an open bedroom, living space, table, and couch. The apartment also has its own shower and bathroom.

There is also a small coffee station with a mini fridge beside it.

Other things to note
We have a loveable border collie named Nile. He likes to greet our guests. He's very gentle but if you're not a dog person please let us know and we can put him inside before you arrive.

While the property is river front three river is not accessible from the property. The most accessible way to get to the water is to go down our dirt road to the public boat launch. If you have kayaks our a small canoe feel free to bring it! We have a front yard that is large enough for some yard games. Feel free to bring games like Bacci, corn hole, spike ball, water balloons etc.

To enhance the security of our guests and the integrity of our property, security cameras have been installed outside by the side and front entrances of the cabin.

The space
It is my pleasure to have my guests have a peaceful place to relax & slow down. This newly renovated (2022) has a old & new decor. Not shown in pictures is a wall mounted TV that is viewed from the bed or chairs. You may see us out in the back yard or down by the creek. The electrical box is in the closet so there may be a very rare time we will need to come in to reset breaker. I cannot accommodate any pets. Please contact me to ask any questions .

Guest access
There is a key to use for your private entrance. If I am not there to greet you , there will be a key in a lock box, you will be given the code open it.
Guests can use the back deck for their enjoyment.
