I was traveling with my two large dogs and was able to exit out the back door of the property, walk across a small grassy area, and start walking down the battlefield park trails. The free breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. The hotel overall seemed to have a pretty big and responsive staff, more than what I'm used to from chain hotels. They were very friendly. The room was a bit dark (aren't all hotel rooms, though?) and the blankets were pretty thin but otherwise no complaints. I brought blankets to cover the beds to prevent my dogs from getting them dirty and the heating worked well so I wasn't cold. Check in and check out were easy. "
