Waterfront retreat, welcomes you to paradise. On the Susquehanna River, Lake Aldred is an eight mile long lake form between two dams in southern Lancaster County. Come and relax and watch the eagles ( home to 8 eagles nest) you will have daily sightings. The perfect place to enjoy yourself with your favorite activities; boating, fishing, hiking, outlet shopping, Amish country. At the end of the day spectacular sunsets over the lake on your own private deck. Grilling on the gas grill or the fully equipped kitchen. Or spend the week sitting down by the lake where we have horseshoes or hit a couple golf balls into the hole.
Dockage available for your boat out front, public ramp is 1/4 mile upriver at the Pequea Creek. Plenty of parking for the trailer in the overflow area onsite.
Or just come to relax and soak up the tranquility of the area!

Relax in the open floor plan; living room with the perfect view, also enjoy watching a 70" TV, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dish washer. Full bathroom with tubs on both floors. The lake is surrounded by the Holtwood Preserve; Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve(one of the best in the northeast) and Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve, Pinnacle Overlook are less than 5 miles away. Conestoga trail runs thru Pequea and joins the Mason Dixon trail system. Canoeing & kayaking are great as both the Pequea Creek and the Conestoga River end in this section of the Susquehanna River. Perfect area for water skiing or fishing. Pequea boat ramp also includes a handicapped fishing area, 1/4 mile up river.

Waters Edge is a custom house built specifically for entertaining guests for a truly memorable vacation with family or friends.
The house is a open floor plan that flows from the beautiful interior to the amazing exterior and surrounding waterfront.
I created this home for a truly wonderful guest experience. This home is what I have learned during the last 10 years with owning 5 other vacation rentals and managing other properties and I placed it all into this magnificent home.
The home consists of 5,000 sqft of interior space and 1200 sqft of cover porch space along with 800 sqft of sun deck area with a heated pool, plus 1200 sqft of brick patio with a hot tub.

Pool is normally opened mid May and closes in September, all depends on the weather.
Hot Tub is open year round.

*** Listing price is for 8 guests in 4 of the bedrooms. These bedrooms include: First Floor Master, Two Basement Bedrooms and The Loft Bedroom.

There’s an additional fee of $1000 during peak season while the pool is open and $600 in off season when pool is closed. If you choose to have all 7 bedrooms and want to bring more than 8 guests, which brings your total guest amount to 16. The house and property is designed for a maximum occupancy of 16 including any guests that you may have stop over during the day.
Please let me know if you need all 7 bedrooms even if you only have 8 guests. So an additional payment request can be taken care of through the site. The fee is a one time charge for the length of your stay.

This well cared for home is only 15 minutes west of LANCASTER CITY, near to the Susquehanna River and close to many other outdoor destinations and activities such as the Turkey Hill Trail, Enola Low Grade Biking Trail, Chestnut Grove Natural Area, Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve, Safe Harbor Dam Fishing, Chickies Rock, and the Northwest River Trail. This cottage has a cozy kitchen, dining room, living room with reclining couches, 3 bedrooms, and a full bath all on the main floor. A sprawling, open basement with a full bath, cozy sitting nook, and an outside entrance with a wide doorway that opens onto the driveway, makes a wonderful place to stretch out and relax. A nice sized yard outside is a perfect place to play some games or watch the stars in the clear night sky!!! Wake up every morning, and have breakfast with a few fresh chocolate chip cookies and healthy eggs from our pasture raised flock of chickens!!! And there is no need to hurry home when the weekend is over.......there is reliable, high speed, Wi-Fi here so that you can keep up with business and school away from home. So go ahead and enjoy an extra night or two!!! We have a 3 night minimum stay... or, stay for 7 nights and take advantage of our weekly rate!!!

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, and the water view and large peaceful porch were a central focus of enjoyment for our group of 10. The kitchen is well supplied with housewares and the extra fridge in the pantry was a bonus. As far as entertainment, the hot tub, Wii Sports, and pool table gave us plenty to do when we were relaxing. Even the train coming by sporadically added some excitement and didn’t pose an interruption. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet waterfront space in proximity to the Lancaster area."
