We have four bedrooms, three have queen beds and one has a bunk bed that is single over double. There are two full bath. The kitchen is well furnished and perfect for cooking those meals when you feel like staying in for the day. The porch offers a lovely view of the farmland that surrounds the house. The house is decorated in a peaceful fashion that makes for a calm and relaxing stay.

The entrance door is equipped with a Ring doorbell.

Please do not enter the bank barn, it is not guest-ready and we are not responsible for any injuries that occur with entering the barn.

Beautiful, spacious loft-style apartment in barn on historic farm 25 miles northwest of Baltimore. Quiet, lovely, and peaceful, surrounded on all sides by farmland in conservation. Perfect for a relaxing, tranquil getaway, but within easy commute to Baltimore metro area.

A spacious loft style apartment with a large open living room, dining area & kitchen on the first level. Wood burning stove in LR (wood can be bought locally). Radiant heat on first floor, 2 ceiling fans, and three Mitsubishi split units for further heating and cooling. Modern kitchen with stainless stove, fridge, and dishwasher, including microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker -- but no garbage disposal, as we're on a septic system. Main bathroom on ground level has been recently upgraded with soaking tub and new tile, etc. Bathroom has stackable W&D on first floor. Library in 2nd floor loft area. Bedroom with queen bed and 1/2 bath on 3rd floor. Bedroom has wall unit AC/heater. There is a small balcony overlooking a walled flower garden.

You'll see no neighbors, wake up to the sun rising over the rolling fields, sip your coffee at the table on the balcony--with great views to the surrounding 100 acres--relax on the cozy couch and (on a cold day) watch the fire roaring in the wood stove, take a break to watch the birds from the huge wall of windows, spend a couple of hours browsing through the library on the second level, where you'll find all kinds of great books, then pop a DVD into the player downstairs and watch a classic movie--selected from the large in-house DVD selection--or stream a movie from the free wi-fi. Our 6-acre farm is just at the outer reaches of the NW Baltimore suburbs, in northern Reisterstown. The town of Reisterstown, 4 miles away, has an historic downtown. Westminster, 8 miles north, has a larger historic downtown and is home to McDaniel College. Both towns have nice restaurants and other local attractions. Just south of Reisterstown are Owings Mills, Pikesville, and Towson, large metropolitan suburbs of Baltimore. All have a large variety of restaurants and shopping. Owings Mills has a subway station (only 15 min away) that travels into downtown Baltimore. We are only about 20-25 min from Pimlico racetrack in NW Baltimore. We are just 35 miles south of Gettysburg and many Pennsylvania attractions, including historic sites, orchards, parks, antiques, flea markets, and local ice cream. We will provide guests with an extensive list of local resources and favorite food stops.

- "Stayed with Grace for 2 weeks when our daughter, who lives nearby, had our first grandchild. If you are looking for a spacious, luxurious and beautifully decorated house with a chefs kitchen this is the place. Plenty of dishes, glasses, bakeware and all the “tools” needed for a long term stay. Beautiful sunroom and deck area. Pictures really don’t do it justice. We had several family visitors while there and each one reacted “wow” when they entered the front door. Grace is a wonderful host who got the details right. Stayed at many VRBO properties but this was by far the cleanest. We are returning over the holidays."

The Hen House Cottage is a tiny house located on an historic farm in central Maryland. It is surrounded by six acres of beautiful pasture. The Cottage has great light throughout the day, a well-equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, coffee grinder, coffee maker, large fridge, etc.), a full bathroom (with shower), a sleeping area with a comfortable full-sized bed, dedicated (free) wi-fi, a smart TV, blue tooth sound system, and an eclectic library. Linens and towels are provided.

This tiny house is a conversion of an antique hen house on an historic farm. The interior is constructed mostly of reclaimed materials--like yellow pine flooring, corrugated tin ceiling, rough-cut oak book shelves, etc. The walls are decorated with an eclectic collection of art (everything from Japanese woodcut to abstract oils). The cottage features an impressive small library. It's warm and cozy, a superbly relaxing place to clear your head and get some much deserved rest.

PLEASE NOTE: The Cottage is for single occupancy only. We cannot accommodate couples in this space. No exceptions. Please don't ask.

- "Super clean, quiet, comfortable, everything you would need. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute. " - "to be clear i had an amazing time and really loved it. it’s a cute place and the access to nature was EXCEPTIONAL. but it definitely could be cleaner. i found big spider webs behind the bed, dust on kitchen objects (kettle, seasonings, bowls), and dusty side tables too. it’s understandable that one can’t find every single hair but there were visible long hairs stuck to the bathroom floor and i kept finding hairs on me as well (definitely not mine). the worst part was that the towels and spare blanket smelled pretty dank so i wish i brought my own. the kitchen towel smelled a little mildewy also before i had even used it. it was livable and you could tell the bed and tables were cleaned at least."

Quiet and pristine 24-acre working horse farm located in Carroll County, Maryland with exquisite, serene views from every window. Coming up the driveway you may be greeted by beautiful horses grazing in the field. (The horses are privately owned. Please do not feed or touch). Occasionally our very friendly furry Zuchon (Shis Tzu/Bischon) visits and enjoys running around in the fences backyard. The farm is surrounded by beautiful pastures, a large magnolia tree gracing the circular entrance driveway, and a large deck at the back of the house for relaxing or entertaining after a dip in the pool (Seasonal: May to Labor Day). Perfect for retreating from the hectic city. Just 1 hour west of Washington, DC and minutes to Westminster, historic McDaniel College, Union Mills Hiking Trails, Bear Branch Nature Center, Scenic Battlefield Horseback Riding Tours in Gettysburg, PA. All kinds of shopping (Target, Walmart, HomeGoods, Marshall’s, Weis Market, Shoppers, etc.) is just 10 minutes west on 140 Baltimore Avenue.

- "Host was flexible with getting in a little early as our plane arrived early in the am. Apartment was very clean and It met our needs for our stay. It was moderately equipped. Everything was pretty much new. Bathroom was quirky but once you got used to it - it worked just fine. If you are really tall you may have a problem with the ceiling height. We are 6’2 and 5”11 and we did ok- but our son who is 6”4’ was nearly to the ceiling. We would definitely stay again. "

Guest Access:
Be it an individual or group booking, the verified guest shall receive an access code to the key lock box mounted by the main entrance to the Suite. Therein is the key to the sliding door, and the guest shall return the key at check-out. The access code shall be sent via email or text message about 24 hours before the check-in time.
Check-in time is from 2.00 PM EST
Check-out time is to be on or before 11.00 AM EST.

The Grace Suite is a 2-bedroom apartment with a shared full bath. It can sleep a maximum of 5 guests. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the main lounge has a reclining leather sofa that can sleep 2 more guests.
Bedroom 001 has a full complement of white furniture and a smart TV, a dedicated executive workstation, a dresser mirror, a wardrobe with hangers, a bedside stool, and a Persian rug.
Bedroom 002 has a dedicated workstation, mirror, wardrobe with hangers, and a Persian rug.
The floor finish is carpeted in the bedrooms and largely in the main lounge.
There is a fully fitted kitchen with a white granite countertop and an Island that seats 2 guests. In the kitchen, we have an electric oven, a double-door refrigerator with an Ice maker, a dishwasher, an in-built microwave, an electric kettle, an Air fryer, a Blender, basic cutleries, plates, cups, and cooking pans.
The main lounge has a smart TV, a 3-seater black leather reclining sofa, and a 3-seater circular wooden dining table.
There is also an enclosed patio that overlooks the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. Therein you have a dedicated heating and cooling system, a smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker, 2 Accent chairs, and a rocking chair.
The laundry area has a washer and a dryer.
1. Nightly Rate - $250.00 for 4 guests, every additional guest pays $35.00.
2. Cleaning Fee per stay is $100.00
3. Use of the swimming pool - $80.00 per stay
4. Use of the Club also known as BBQ Grill and utensils + gas - $50.00 per use
So that you know, only 2 guests are allowed per room. Every additional guest over and above the allowed 2 guests per room shall attract an extra charge of $35.00 per guest. The entire house can comfortably sleep 6 guests, with an average of 2 guests per room.
5. A stay of 14 days or more shall be classified as a long-term stay, cleaning shall therefore be on a call basis by the guest, at an extra cleaning service fee.

We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

Please note that there is a 6 vehicle limit due to space.

★ THE POND ★
Guests are welcome to bring their fishing rods for a chance to catch a fish in the pond but please note that it is not stocked and fishing is catch & release only. We recommend that the more serious fishermen visit Codorus State Park which is located 6 miles away! Please note, we do not provide any fishing supplies. Please proceed at your own risk when it comes to safety surrounding the pond, especially with children. Guests are not allowed to swim or boat in the pond due to liability reasons.

While this home does have lovely fireplaces inside, due to liability we do not allow guests to use the fireplaces.
