While staying here, you will get to drive over a little bridge and past a winding stream to get to our historic stone house where you will stay. The original structure was built in 1758. Out in the country with Amish neighbors all around, you will be delighted with the peaceful environment created by the little streams, rustic barn, and buggies going by on the road. The property use to be a winery with it's own vineyards. The house was where the vintner lived.

Please make yourself at home, we love when we see guests enjoying our property. We have lots of outside space you can use like a fire pit, lots of wooded area for a picnic or a walk, patio area, deck, or you can sit down by the stream to enjoy the peace and quiet sound of rushing water.
These are all shared spaces, so please be respectful to other guest when using them.

Other things to note

* There is no kitchen. The mini fridge is similar to what you would have at a hotel, but the other accommodations are much more spacious! Feel free to eat out, or get food delivered in. Dutchway Farm Market, 3 minutes away has a little walk in deli for a quick meal, or dine in at their restaurant. Pizza Box, also just minutes away, will deliver pizza as well.

* We have a laundry room. Go out the front door and head straight to the red barn where the big deck staircase is. You will see a dark brown door underneath the deck. The door is always unlocked & the light switch is inside the door, feel free to help yourself.

The kitchen had everything that we needed to make ourselves small meals and put all of our goodies that we collected from the farm stands in the fridge. The air conditioning worked great when we needed it, but we also enjoyed the crisp fall air and having some windows opened and hearing the noises of the Amish buggies going by, the faint sounds of roosters in the distance and hearing the horsea do their thing. It is a 700 sq ft loft apartment nestled on a 200 acre Lancaster County family farm. Offering a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and a spacious custom island. Features wide plank wood flooring throughout and a heated marble bathroom floor. Built-in "his and hers" closets. "Live edge" black walnut breakfast bar with WiFi ( a great place to use a laptop). Authentic antique roller track barn door.

This property offers plenty of space for walking or hiking. Nearby Wolf's Hollow County Park and The Enola Low Grade Trail offer plenty of outdoor exploration also. The Octorara Reservoir offers kayaking and bird watching.

The sofa is a quality full size pull out bed, to be used to accommodate extra guests.
Guests have access to farm fresh vegetables from our family garden. In season, you can find asparagus, strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes, fresh herbs, peppers and onions. Some farm fresh brown eggs are provided for breakfast. There is no guest access to farming operations.
While this property is private and secluded, we are close to many of Lancaster and Chester Counties abundant attractions. Shopping, Hiking, Entertainment, and Restaurants are all in the local area.
We are in the heart of Lancaster County Amish farmland, but our location offers easy access to the area's abundant opportunities. Local attractions: Longwood Gardens, Strasburg Railroad, Intercourse Village, Lancaster City, Tanger Outlets, Exton Square Mall, Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre, American Music Theatre, Christiana Mall (tax free shopping), etc. Hiking at - Enolalowgradetrail.com and Wolfs Hollow County Park. Day trips: Philadelphia, Hershey, Gettysburg, Baltimore, Washington DC, etc. There are many options for dining out nearby, including restaurants, buffets, coffee houses and cafes. The Loft at Jackson Farm is for adults and not suitable for young children or handicap accessible. No smoking, no pets, no candles. We keep this property very clean and well maintained.

Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet hideaway located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. The apartment (over 850 sq. ft!), tucked in a cozy space beneath an extension of the owner's home, is warmly decorated and peaceful. Renovations in 2023 include a new kitchen, freshly-painted walls, enhanced lighting, and new furniture. It offers a comfortable featherbed, flat-screen TV/DVD, seating area with fireplace, dining table and stocked kitchen (sink/refrigerator/stove/microwave/coffee maker.) A small stackable washer and dryer can be used for small loads of laundry. There is a separate parking area for our Hideaway guests. The spacious backyard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color during the summer, or relax on the swing or in the hammock.

Our 1800's home features a fully stocked kitchen, living room, and dining room with small kitchette. The larger of its two bedrooms has two queen-sized beds. The smaller has a king size bed. we also have a futon available. We provide the linens and towels. 3 bathrooms one with clawfoot tub, the other 2 have showers.

For a quiet country getaway Miriam's Guest House is a great retreat for your family or small group. Lancaster County is a very big county a total of 984 square miles. We are located on the southern end of the county and about 15 - 30 mins from all Lancaster attractions. If you need to be close by to a nearby town, venue or attraction please contact us and we can let you know the distance. We have 2 very nice parks and public swimming pool, all within walking distance.

Most local businesses are closed on Sundays, however there are still lots to do on a Sunday. visit lancasterpa - /attractions/open-sundays/

Parking and entrance to the cottage is in the rear. Please park in designated area away from the garage. The designated parking space can hold two small cars or one large vehicle, additional street parking is available if needed.

During your stay at our spacious collective/shabby chic theme cottage you can hear clapping of horses and buggy passing by. Coffee shops, antiques, ice cream, market, restaurants and more within walking distance or take the breathtaking back roads to all the local sights, theaters, restaurants, activities and much more that Lancaster has to offer.

The cottage/guest house is attached to the main farmhouse which was built in 1900.

Meet our pet mini pigs Angel and Lulu, they live with us in the main house and come out often, you are welcome to pet and feed them the treats we leave in the cottage for them, NO human food please and do not run up to them, as they may think you are a predator!

When you arrive you will find a loaf of homemade fresh bread, whoopie-pies, coffee/tea, eggs from nearby chickens. Enter our cottage through the spacious living room with 50 inch Smart TV, computer work area and fireplace, off to the left is an updated kitchen/dining room with new appliances, filtered clear mineral water dispenser and all amenities for a full service kitchen plus a first floor full bathroom with shower. Up the steps are two bedrooms, One has a queen size bed and one has a double/full bed (beds are memory foam). Our borough regulates stays for up to 4 adults not including children under 12 years old and two vehicles.

Please note - do not book for someone else. If you are booking, you must be staying also. Person booking must be at least 25 years old.

Meet our potbelly piglets Angel & Lulu, they are our pets and not farm animals, you are welcome to pet and love them like we do. Please DO NOT FEED THEM! We will have treats and instructions on how to feed them in the cottage. Do not run up to them, as they may think you are a predator! For the same reason we do not accept pets/dogs - they are potential predators to our piglets. Angel and Lulu live in our house and have access to the backyard at all times. When the weather is not to their liking, they use a litter box located in our laundry room. They love being warm and often will nap outside in very warm weather otherwise they are staying warm under many blankets inside the main house on a comfy bed.

We rescued a "Pomsky" puppy name Josie (JoJo) in December 2022, she is well trained and friendly and she will also have access to the backyard.

The Osceola Mill Carriage House is just minutes away from all of the Pennsylvania Dutch attractions yet off the beaten path. This converted horse barn has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen including pots, dishes, coffee maker and K-cup coffee. The private patio with propane grill overlooks the neighbor's farm. The living room is equipped with TV, a DVD player, gas fireplace, and two pull-out sofas that will accommodate 3 additional people. The second floor bedroom has a Queen size bed and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub. The Carriage House is fully air conditioned. The rental includes all linens.

The Carriage House is a wonderful, private space for either couples wanting time away or families with children. The ceilings are fairly low on the second floor - and therefore may not be comfortable for very tall people.

The property is part of the historic Osceola Mill House Bed and Breakfast - a 250 year-old mill owner's mansion on the banks of the Pequea Creek in Lancaster County. Rental of the Carriage House through this site is self-catering, and no meals are provided.

The clean, comfortable cottage overlooked the neighboring Amish farm (my 9 month old loved seeing the mama cow and her calf pass by!) The location was great, all the attractions we wanted to see were 15 minutes away or less. Our cozy, country barn apartment is located on our nine acre farmette. The entire apartment is located on the second floor of the barn. The setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms. Visit the goats, chickens and any other animals we may currently have, take a hike into the woods, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or just relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful countryside from the kitchen window while the kids play outside on the swingset.

We are located 6 miles from Sight and Sound Theaters, 5 miles from Strasburg Railroad, and within 10 miles of Cherry - Crest Farm, American Music Theater, Rockvale and Tanger Outlets, and many other Amish country attractions including Dutch Wonderland.

Since we started out as a more traditional Bed and Breakfast years ago, I still enjoy stocking the kitchen with a light supply of breakfast items to get you started out such as bread for toasting, pastries, fruit, hot and cold drinks, cereals, farm fresh eggs, etc.
