Recent remodel and nearly new furnishings throughout. 2 minute drive to Dickinson College and 6 minutes to the US Army War College/ Carlisle Barracks. Downtown Harrisburg is 25 minutes and Hershey Park is 40 minutes. We are a dog friendly property and even though this townhouse has very little green space, LeTort Park is a short 6 minute walk from the front door.

With 3 large bedrooms , 2 living rooms , 2.5 baths, exclusive Cozy earth bedding and extensive grounds including the pool , fountains, Patios and two ponds This will be a vacation spot to remember. - PLEASE NOTE: Children friendly DOES NOT MEAN the area is CHILD-PROOF. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to monitor their children's actions AT ALL TIMES.

- Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, ultimately it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

- There is an extra guest fee of $35/person after the fourth guest. (Maximum of 6 guests total).

- If guests are found to have had a party which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for an extra cleaning charge of $300. The extra guest fee above also applies.

THE PROPERTY

This is a studio style cabin featuring a lovely screened in porch for eating and relaxing, an outdoor shower, and (almost) full kitchen. (We do not have an oven). The space is best suited for a couple, but a third guest is welcome to sleep on the day bed on the porch. (Porch is not climate controlled). This space is not appropriate for someone who won’t want to see a big or two as they are impossible to keep out of the space!

Guests are permitted to have campfires in the fire pit by the creek. Guests are not allowed to use the indoor wood stove.

This first-floor apartment is located in Carlisle’s downtown. Restaurants, breweries, shops, and Dickinson College are each within a one-block walk.

Our favorite features include a projector, in-wall toilet with bidet, gas stove with double oven, garbage disposal, and full-sized murphy bed.

The space
The space is an efficient 250 square feet within an historic row house. The full building has two other units occupied by long-term tenants. Smoking of any form (cigarettes, vape, e-cig, joint, etc) is not permitted inside the building.

The door for the suite is the first on your right inside the front door and the building's entryway. Open the door to be greeted by sunlight pouring through the two floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows. The full-size murphy bed rests on a crushed velvet couch (we appreciate its charm!); put the bed up and slide the couch to the wall to create an entertaining area for guests. Hanging from the ceiling is a hammock chair, perfect for a midday nap or cozying up with your favorite book.

Want to watch TV? Pull the screen across and turn the projector on. Watch YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, or any other streaming service by using the “cast” option on your device. No separate app required.

Unpack into the 4-drawer dresser or the cleverly efficient closet.

In the kitchen, you can cook your favorite meal over the gas stove. A baker's rack against the back window has a Keurig, tea kettle, microwave, and cooking supplies. We supply coffees, teas, honey, and sugars for your stay. In the fridge you'll find some basic condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayo), a Brita water cooler, and fresh eggs from our hens.

And finally, the loo. The in-wall throne (ahem, toilet) is fit for Queen and King. The heated seat will keep your bum warm and when you’re done, you can use toilet paper or fresh, warm water. Yes, the toilet has a bidet and there’s even a dryer to help you dry off!

The shower is a standing stall with hose-type showerhead.

Sunny Suite guests have full, private use of the apartment. The entryway or hallway is shared. Please lock the front door as you come and go.

The Suite is usually pretty quiet, but please expect occasional noise from the road, sidewalk, or others in the house.

The space
This recently renovated space (2019) is on the first floor of our home. It has parking, a private entrance and upscale yet comfortable amenities. A wall-mounted TV can be viewed from the queen size bed. There are two comfortable chairs, and a nice table with bar stools for eating or work space. There is an electric fireplace for some added ambiance. The bathroom features a shower with grab bars, a large vanity with counter space, and drawers for storage and extra heat. Always plenty of soft towels.

You'll have access to the private space via keyless entry. Entry is just a few feet TO THE RIGHT away from your own parking pad.

BE OUR GUEST:This suite is part of my home. You will have your own space, but I truly consider you guests in my home. This sets the tone for just about everything else.
ACCESS: The suite is on the front side of my home. It will be visible when you pull into the driveway.
PRIVACY: You may see me outside. Otherwise, the suite is all yours. Outside of a request from you, I won't enter the suite.
PETS: DOGS ONLY ARE WELCOME. I am not able to accommodate birds, bunnies, cats, snakes, etc. you get the idea. If it does not have four legs and barks, please don't bring them.
TEMPERATURE: This is one of our best features. The unit has its own mini-split where you can adjust the A/C and heat to your preferences. In addition, there is an electric fireplace for ambience and to make it even cozier. The bathroom has additional heat available.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There is a very comfortable queen-sized bed. We can accommodate a small child, if needed on a child sized mattress.

Studio apartment located in historic district of downtown Carlisle, Pa. Its convenient location allows guests the opportunity to walk to the shops, sites and restaurants. The Car Show, Dickinson College and The Army Heritage Center are all only a couple miles away. The bed is a large futon, very comfortable, but may be difficult for some to maneuver. Most everyone has been very comfortable on it!

The space
although there is no "AC" unit in the space, there is an overhead fan that keeps the area at a comfortable cool temperature. There is a small vent that circulates central air from our home into yours. I also provide a floor fan if you need.

Please note that there is parking directly out front that is metered during the week days 8am-4pm. It is totally free on weekends. The is also free parking on the street right around the corner. We occasionally have a space available out back in the alley, and will let each guest know whether or not it is open at their specific time.

Other things to note
Please note that the futon is the bed. There are no additional beds. The futon is a double size with a thick comfortable mattress. It is a little heavy to push back up into couch position once it is flattened for the bed position, however, we can always help with that. Two people can do it more easily than one. There is a vent where the ac flows from our home into the space, there is also a ceiling fan, and floor fan.

Located in the heart of downtown Carlisle, this home was built in the early 1900's and still holds aspects of it's historical charm. It is in close proximity to all that Carlisle has to offer such as local shopping and restaurants, Dickinson College and Penn State Law School, Army War College and Army Heritage Center, Carlisle Events car shows, and more. We do our best to provide all the comforts of home in order to make your stay as pleasant as possible!

The space
This recently updated two-story town home features two private bedrooms with queen beds, a comfortable living space, a full bathroom, and a well-stocked kitchen. We provide Wifi and a Smart TV in the living room with access to your streaming providers, as well as a DVD/Blu-ray player with a variety of movies, games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and amenities for those who choose to cook.
The home displays much of it's original charm, such as an exposed brick wall, hardwood floors, and the aesthetics of an old home. Both bedrooms, as well as the full bath, are located on the second floor of the home. With the late addition of the bathroom following the original build of the home, guests should be aware that in order to access the second bedroom, you must go through the bathroom or the first bedroom.
There is one off-street parking spot out back that is accessible by the alley behind the house. The number 147 is on the little black shed at the rear of the property. There is a 120v plug accessible for level 1 EV charging next to the spot out back. There is additional parking in front of the house along the street.

Please note our listed cancellation policy. We also maintain a no refund policy once your stay has begun. This means that we will not offer a refund if you wish to leave early. The dates have already been reserved for you at that point, and we will not be able to get another booking last minute. Airbnb allows guests to submit a request for leaving early and adjusting dates, however they leave it up to hosts to accept or decline the requests because of the potential loss of income. We want our guests to know ahead of time that we will not be able to issue a refund for any changes like this last minute. Thank you.

The space
The Skinny House welcomes you with a brick exterior and dark green front door. The entrance brings you into the living room that includes two chairs with ottomans and a table between with coasters and a lamp, while overhead lighting is also available. The TV is wall mounted with adjustable arm to move and turn as desired, and is set up with a Roku and the ability to use your own accounts thru "guest mode" or use the free services provided.
Next you will enter the dining room with a custom hand-made table that I built from a tree I had cut down at another home. The kitchen is in the rear of the home and offers all appliances including refrigerator, electric stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. All dishes, silverware, and cooking wares are included. For small amounts of clothes there is a portable washer that can be filled/drained at the sink.
Thru the back door, you will find a cute patio to enjoy the fresh air while you start your day with coffee, or relax at the end of the evening.
Upstairs you will find the spacious bedroom with a queen bed, the walk-thru closet, and full bath. The beautiful claw-foot tub is inviting for either a bath or shower. A bidet is hooked up on the toilet (if you wish to use it).
There is also a walk-up attic that will be getting finished as a bonus room in the future.

Enjoy the convenience of a quiet location, just minutes to downtown Carlisle, the Carlisle Fairgrounds, Dickinson College, and Boiling Springs with an AT trailhead. Guests get a private, three-room basement suite. The suite is in a well kept ranch-style house on a quiet cul-de-sac, with free, off-street parking. The main level is occupied by my retired mom, Mary. Guests can feel free to relax on the plant-filled back patio and use the large, fenced-in backyard.

The space
The private 3-room guest suite consists of a large main room with a king bed, the living area, and a kitchenette. The bed is a memory foam mattress with cozy bedding. A nightstand on each side has a convenient touch lamp with integrated 120v outlets and 2 USB ports. There is a dresser and a closet.

The kitchenette has a dining table with 4 chairs, a mid-sized fridge with separate freezer, toaster oven, microwave, Kurig, and an electric tea kettle. Please note that this is a nicer version of a hotel-style kitchenette intended for simple meal prep, and there is no stove or sink.

The living area has a sectional couch, a 55" Roku TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and an electric faux fireplace for ambiance and heat (during warm months, the ambient flames can be used with the heat off).

The second room is an office space that can be closed off from the main room. It has a desk, large monitor, and ethernet connection.

The full modern bathroom was installed in 2021. It has a tub/shower combo.

Guests are welcome to share use of the large back yard and patio, where you can often find my mom working in her flower gardens or re-potting plants. Please note that she requests you do not invite unregistered guests, and please limit your use of the yard/patio to the hours of 8am-9pm. There is a patio table and chairs you can use if you'd like to eat outside and a nice porch swing for relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea.

Baby items are available upon request (high chair, pack n play, toys, etc).

Mom's house is a great location to use as your home base when visiting your Dickinson student, heading to an event at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, or vacationing in Southcentral PA. You will be convenient to:

The space
This home was built in 1890 so although all the main rooms have been completely renovated there are still some creaky floors! The main level flooring is original and has been partially refinished. It has lots of old cracks, dings and a few holes here and there that give it plenty of character.

The garage is large enough for a mid-size car. Large or tall vehicles will not fit. There is a garage door opener included for use. Also, free on street parking.

The yard is fully fenced for privacy. Outdoor seating near the garage. There is a charcoal bbq for use.

A washer/dryer in the basement, but it's an old basement. So you may find it a bit creepy, but the washer & dryer are accessible and do clean well !

You will be staying in a private apartment newly constructed in October 2024. There are two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds as well as a trundle bed.) The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Central PA Youth Ballet and Dickinson College. Behind the property are some beautiful cross country trails for walking or running. This guest favorite features a king bed and a private sitting area with accent chairs and a TV. Originally the bedroom of the Ewing twins, whose family arrived in Carlisle in 1849, was papered with the present rose design in the 1930's. The wide plank yellow pine floorboards and the original pocket-shutters are small parts of the history that remains. The bathroom includes a 5ft soaking tub, with a Grohe Aquatower multi-jetted shower unit and a marble topped double vanity.

Named for Carlisle's heroine Mary Hays McCauly, more commonly known as "Molly Pitcher", the spacious 3rd floor front room has windows that look out toward the downtown Carlisle area, on S Hanover St.

Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place in downtown Carlisle. Walk to Dickinson College, all the areas best dining, the Cumberland County Courthouse, the Carlisle Fairgrounds, and the US Army War College. This very clean and newly finished studio apartment provides everything you need for a clean and convenient stay. The couch bed does pull out and provide a second location to sleep. All linens and towels are provided. This location is fantastic.

This quaint 1,500 square feet carriage house is on the back of a property that is home to a 19th century Victorian know as "Glass Gable". In 2000 Walt and Diana Brown purchased this property and began restoration and remodeling. The woodwork and other accommodations throughout have all been carefully selected to provide the atmosphere of an European Chalet. The Carriage House is within walking distance to downtown Carlisle and its many historic attractions.

The space
"The Carriage House" has accommodated individuals, families and small groups visiting Carlisle for multiple and varied types of events. These events have included work, family reunions, Hershey Park, Central PA Youth Ballet (CPYB) Programs, and Dickinson College, Carlisle Army Heritage Center and the Army War College events.

If you are going to be in the Carlisle for more than five nights, please send an email to see if any special pricing is available. Special pricing is also available for Veterans and military personnel including both active duty military and civilians and for families in the area attending CPYB programs.

The Carriage House was built in the late 1800s or early 1900s. When purchased in 2000 the only access to the second floor was a ladder in in the center of main room. The second floor has now been converted into the main bedroom (Bedroom 1). It has been decorated with custom woodwork throughout including custom bookcases that are built around a gas fireplace. With the touch of the remote the fireplace can quickly add to the ambiance for a romantic getaway.

Sometime during the 1900s a covered carport was added to the original structure. In 2003 the carport was removed and a room addition was added. This added room serves as the second bedroom. It has a privacy door that separates it from the original structure. Custom garage doors were manufactured to match the appearance of the two doors installed on the original structure.

Custom woodwork has been installed throughout The Carriage House. The theme created with the custom woodwork will be in your memory long after your stay at The Carriage House has concluded.

Guest access
Guests will have the exclusive use of "The Carriage House" and are welcome to join others using the patio area surrounded by the gardens of the Glass Gable and the patio pergola.

There is a great deal of history located in Carlisle.
Pennsylvania is home to many outdoor activities including but not limited to canoeing down the Conodoguiniet Creek or the Susquehanna River. Kings Gap, a beautiful State Park is withing 10 miles of "The Carriage House". There are also many orchards and winery's to visit.
If shopping is what you like Carlisle has boutiques and "The Outlets at Hershey or Gettysburg are close by.
"The Carriage House" is only a short drive and very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing in Gettysburg.

The space
On entry, kick off your shoes , hang your coat, and enjoy a comfortable and spacious living room with a 50” LCD smart tv; wifi is provided, or alternatively play a game. The dining room is set up to relax and enjoy company.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and a coffee bar welcomes you in the morning with numerous options for your morning beverage. Enjoy breakfast at the breakfast bar or alternatively keep the cook company with a beverage of choice while dinner is being prepared.

Upstairs you’ll find 2 bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and the second with a full-size bed as well as a dedicated work space. The bathroom has a new walk-in shower with a glass door.

With access from the kitchen, you’ll find the fenced-in backyard, with a deck and a patio table which also converts into a chess board.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the house, the backyard and private off-street parking. Entry to the house will be via an electronic lock with your own private entry code. Additional free on-street parking is available nearby.

I do provide a 50” LCD smart tv so you can log on to your Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming accounts. I do however not provide cable tv.

There is a dedicated work space available in the second bedroom.

A grocery store with a pharmacy and Amazon pick-up hub is located nearby (within two blocks) making it easy for you to pick up whatever you may need during your stay.

Garrison place is just a 3/4 mile off of I81 and 3 miles from the Pa Turnpike. Situated 5 blocks from Downtown, Carlisle Events, Dickinson College and The Army War College. There is a laundry across the street and two grocery stores within a few blocks. Please Note: THIS UNIT ALLOWS ANIMALS. If you have any allergy to pets, pet odors, or pet dander, please be aware.

The space
This space has two bedrooms, 1-with two double beds and 1-with two twin beds. Full kitchen with dishes, pans, cooking utensils, glasses, mugs, microwave and coffee maker. The living room is large and comfortable with TV and WIFI. The unit is also off a large covered porch.

The driveway is on Country Road, 10 Woodcrest Drive is a corner lot. Park in front of the garage door on the right side there is a welcome sign.
Lighted walkway to the apartment is between the holly and the flower garden. The door is unlocked and enter apartment to the left. Key is on the table, no need to lock the outside door.
