Simple and clean newly renovated apartment in a very convenient location. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable and feel like home.
The entire apartment is yours to use. There is an apartment on the same floor in the rear of the building. My cousin lives there. The apartment above is a nice woman who has lived in this building for a very live time. I doubt you will ever see her.
The apartment is on the first floor. There is a key pad on the door. We will text you a code on the day of your arrival.
I live in Virginia, so all our communication will be by phone or email, my number is 256-468-6655. My Uncles Charles lives in Danville just about a mile away. If there is anything you need he is close by. His number is (570) 441-8332.
Danville honors its past with a National Historic District that encompasses its well-preserved downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, the highly regarded Montgomery Museum, the annual Iron Heritage Festival, the nation's first rail-trail, and their very own highway to history, the Susquehanna River. Downtown's Mill Street offers quaint shops, a variety of dining and late-night entertainment, and American crafts and artwork. For those seeking the leisurely or the lively, Danville has both a vibrancy and a character, you won't find elsewhere. It welcomes all who seek the ambiance, history and heritage, and the friendliness of an authentic river town almost as old as the nation itself. The area surrounding Mill Street has much to discover; Knoebels, America's largest free-admission amusement park, is nearby and there are countless covered bridges, golf courses, parks, state parks and forests, trails and local events to discover.
Please no smoking or vaping inside our home. Thank you for respecting our space.
- "Check in & out was a breeze, the property was so clean and quiet, and the ease of the on-site parking was perfect! Located not far from so many cute conveniences, including the local hospital, shops, venues, and restaurants! Bed was comfy & furniture was super cute…full length mirror is a huge plus! Easy to chat the host for any questions, concerns, or assistance with quick responses and never-ending kindness! There’s a perfect binder of local info and a sweet little guestbook full of great reviews that we couldn’t agree with more :)"

Love it here and will be back!!!" - "This is our 3rd stay and like the first two, it was a perfect weekend. This time we received about 4” of snow. That made it fun taking our long walks through the woods and looking for signs of wildlife tracks. Our dog loved it too. We will be back in a few months. We did two February stays and one in September. We prefer the winter stays The Morrison’s"

THIS HOME IS NEWLY RENOVATED!! Cleaned and Disinfected using CDC guidelines!
Guests will enjoy this colonial home located in the quaint town of New Berlin, PA. Guests will delight in the picturesque setting from the private backyard with views of the famous Penns Creek and lovely established farms. Guests will appreciate their direct recreational access to the water right on the property with the home safely out of the flood zone. New Berlin, being central located, is a 10-15 minute drive to Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, and Selinsgrove.
This home, built circa 1850 is unique in several ways from the old fashioned side porch, original log accents, old wood floors, wide window sills and hand-hewn beams. Relax in the living room with the original log cabin wall and exposed beams in front of the warm fireplace. This room has an intimate, snug and warm feeling. Although visitors will enjoy the charm of days gone by they will appreciate the modern touches of the home’s complete renovation in 2019. Craftsman restored the original logs and chinking from the home. Exposed rough cut beams adorn the living room and upstairs bedrooms. Renters will enjoy the space of three bedrooms plus an additional child’s loft space for playing or sleeping. One of the bedrooms is a traditional colonial “keeping room”. In colonial times the keeping room was next to the kitchen to take advantage of the kitchen heat. A keeping room is a combination sitting room and sleeping room and utilizes convertible sofa bed to keep the traditional keeping room functionality. Guests enter the keeping room through double barn doors. This room has a relaxing feel with water-views and access to the yard. In addition to the keeping room/bedroom, guests will likely spend time gathering around the gas fireplace in the living room.
The home has two bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom between the rooms. The feeling of space is accented by the 12 foot high ceiling emulating post and beam construction. This first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has room to sleep five people with three single twin beds and a children’s loft with a full mattress. The headroom to the top of the loft is about 5 feet. The downstairs living room also have sleeping options with a queen sofa bed.
Guests will value the professional landscaped backyard that has a wood and wire fence to keep pets and children safe while maintaining the water-views. There is a sunken area with a stone fire pit to enjoy toasting marshmallows. There is also a large alfresco dining area. The back yard is accented with low stone walls built by hand. The tall cedar fence on the west side of the yard provides complete privacy. The east side is blocked by the homes tall, rustic, barn-like garage.
Guests will appreciate the quiet one-way street of this location. Traffic is minimal since most cars are headed to the few homes on this street. The locations is an easy walk to the town’s park that has a boat (kayak) launch and playground area. It is a nice area for a walk along the creek with your favorite person or four-legged friend. This park is used for the town's July 4th festivities and fireworks. Guests will also enjoy walking through town and checking out the Victorian architecture and gardens of the homes.
Don't be surprised if you see horse and buggies on the road. This area still enjoys the rich culture of an Amish and Mennonite community. Many have small businesses in the area that you are encouraged to shop at such as grocery stores with bakeries, plant nurseries/greenhouses, road side stands, fabric stores, farm goods and harness shops.
See the Attractions and Activities page on this site!

- "We had a wonderful time. Host was very communicative, the home is lovely with a roomy screened porch (shared by the other two apartments within the house), a flower-filled garden and patio, and the location was perfect for getting to Eagles Mere Conservancy trails which in turn connect to state park trails. If you have kids, the Conservancy was offering daily educational programs and the people there are super nice! Although the house is very close to the lake, we didn't go to it and didn't miss it--there was so much else to do with the trails and the town. Didn't get into our car at all between arrival and check-out. Also, a very dog-friendly location--and at the same time very clean. The Sweet Shop and another downtown place are a half-mile away with outdoor seating that is also dog-friendly. And there is an Inn with several dining options even closer. Kitchen very well stocked, too, if you want to eat in (but if so, you may want to get groceries on your way in as there isn't a big store in town that we found). Music on the green was an unexpected treat! This is just a lovely and peaceful place to unwind."

Also, as shown in photos, guests will walk through the master bedroom to access the second bedroom and bathroom.
- "Quaint and comfortable" - "We were in Lewisburg for a 3 day quilting event and were very pleased with the property. It met our needs perfectly. It is in a great location with off-street parking. The house is quite spacious, well equipped and in a pleasant setting. Beds were comfortable and heating/cooling kept the house comfortable. Definitely recommend a stay there and we would chose to stay there again." - "We wish we found this place earlier in our daughter’s Bucknell experience (she graduating this spring). The place was cozy but had plenty of space, clean, nicely decorated and close to town and the University. The host checked in with us when we got there and left us a bottle of wine, chocolate covered pretzels and fully stocked coffee station (with a small container of milk in the fridge, which honestly made my day)! The bed was comfy and linens were soft yet crisp. As noted in the description, access to the second room is through the main bedroom, but that wasn’t a problem for us because it was just me and my husband, and my daughter hung out with us but slept in her apartment. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had everything we needed to cook and help her meal prep for the week as well as eat in. Wonderful experience and SO much better than a visit staying at a hotel. I highly recommend."

- "WOW was this place wonderful. Words can’t explain this place. Overall the place was amazing. The house has everything you need and then some. The view off the deck is breathtaking. The fireplace outside is great for a fire and to count stars at night. The trails on the property were mine and my dog’s favorite My family will definitely be back. Thank You Terry for everything." - "The homeowner, Terry, is very pleasant and genuinely enjoys being a host. Prior to the trip, he provided excellent information about the local area and detailed directions to the cabin for the best route to travel. He even worked out a military discount for us since my husband and I are both veterans. The well-stocked cabin is situated in a beautiful private wooded area surrounded by deer and other wildlife. Terry had lots of indoor activities available for the times we were stuck in the cabin on rainy days and there were plenty of large rooms to spread out when we needed space. The new HVAC system heated the cabin nicely since it was still cool in early May, to us Floridians. This would definitely be an ideal location for a relaxing getaway when the weather is perfect for sitting outside on one of the covered porches enjoying a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. There was a fireplace outside that would have been perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. The timing and purpose of our trip was not for a vacation, unfortunately, but why not be comfortable while fulfilling a family obligation? Thank you, Terry, for allowing us to stay in your lovely cabin!"
