It's the full first floor of an older house in a leafy neighborhood, comfortably updated (including new kitchen appliances). - "If you find yourself in need of lodging in Elmira-Corning area and would normally buy two hotel rooms, this is a great alternative. About the same price with the extra fees, but all four of us had our own space, three bedrooms upstairs and a day bed in the down stairs study. Everyone reported being comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, no traffic, neighbors are close, but we didn't see a human all labor day weekend. Recommendations Dinner Tanino's in Horseheads - The best pork chop on the planet, just do it. Corning Glass Museum - very much world class and well worth the time.. art, science, industry, antiquities.. and glass gifts you can't find elsewhere. Harris Hill Soaring - Glider rides are $140 and will be talked about for a life time, nothing like it anywhere. The downstairs half bath is a little tight. My kids called it an airplane bathroom. Kitty if you were to decorate it in aeronautical fashion it would be a conversation piece. All in all a nice place and we had no surprises or challenges with this house."

- "Daniel's place was exactly as advertised. Everything worked out well for our group. There were four of us - all guys. Two near 50 and two mid 70's. We were there for the IMSA race at Watkins Glen. Location is rural. All the appliances worked well. We used the hot tub, BBQ, stove, oven, toaster oven, kettle. We would book this location again next year if we return for next year's IMSA year. Daniel was easy to get a hold of and responded to any of our queries within minutes. Town of Horseheads is just down the road. The restaurants there were excellent."

The cozy TV corner is heated by an electric fireplace. A blue ray DVD player and possibility for three-dimensional viewing will enrich your viewing experience! That means whichever odd/even date it is at midnight ought to match the odd/even of the house numbers. It’s a $15 fine, and they do not patrol every night or even every other night, but it’s best to just park on the same side as everyone else! :)

Great space for a staycation, as a work-from-home alternative, or get away.

This is a one story, small one bedroom apartment with access to separate laundry room. There are two TVs connected to cable (50" Living room & 32" bdrm). Place also has a desk/work station and secured wireless internet. Small kitchen and living room space but well equipped and comfortable. Large bedroom with new queen bed and closet with additional closet off of the living room. Small bathroom with standup shower and bath sink is toilet topper which was a great solution for limited space.

Place also equipped with iron & ironing board, hangers, bathroom supplies (shampoo, cond, soap dispenser, towels, hand towels, wash clothes, lotion, tissue, hairdryer) & kitchen items including dishes, silverware, cups, mugs, wine glasses, pots, pans, strainer, blender, mixer, griddle, toaster, toaster oven, cork screw, bottle opener, can opener, coffee maker and keurig to help make your stay comfortable (some kcups, reg ground coffee, tea bags, and hot cocoa ind servings too!). All linens, blankets, pillows and extras are also provided. Bed and pillow cases have an extra protective cover.

The deck out back is private and great for peaceful relaxing. This is a country setting so must anticipate seeing some form of wildlife, usually bunnies and sometimes deer, but on occasion porcupine or raccoon, etc.

The LED motion lights for walkway are always on and bright and will be able to see very well even on the darkest of nights. You can leave on or turn off the one in suite that controls side yard and deck.

During winter months the drive and walkway are snowblowed and salted for guests.

NO KEY needed with keyless electronic doorpad so can “check-in” anytime. Your unique entry code for your stay will be valid at 3pm on check in day until 11am check out day. It will be messaged to you prior to check in day but not activated until that day. Simply enter one digit at a time on the digit-pad located above the doorknob of front door and the green light will appear and will hear latch open. This allows you to come and go as you please during stay and “check-in” anytime since you won't need any actual key. After each “check-out” that code is deleted and not used again. I like the security of only one code activated at a time so no one else has access during your stay. Door also has motel style swing bar door latch for added comfort and security.

NO Pets, carpeted space, allergies to dander.

NO Local guest reservations, not intended as a local rental unit, must reside at least 80 miles out to reserve.

1. Has well water (not city) but hooked up to filtration system and soft water unit and is drinkable now, even so, water cooler and some water bottles provided in suite. But for those that require city water, you will want a different place.

2. Also bathroom does not have a regular separate sink but instead a clever toilet top sink.
