This is a private apartment in our home. We live on the upper level we are here if you need something but, we also respect your privacy. You have your own private entrance and key to go as you please.

Six bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, including a ground-floor wheelchair-accessible bathroom and bedroom, accommodate 11 people. AT&T cell phone service is available along with wifi and cable television. Chenango Lake is a beautiful, spring-fed lake offering family fun, swimming, boating and fishing! It's located about 6 miles outside Norwich NY. We're centrally located, approx 2 hours from Albany, 3.5 from NYC and 3 from Rochester.

Our cabin is seasonal (May-Oct), furnished and heated. We offer DISCOUNTS for weekly stays. Our waterfront is approximately 300 feet and is shared with our cabin next door. The cabin is rustic yet comfortable with one bedroom with 2 queen size beds (a curtain between for more privacy), a full master bath, a half bath off the dining room, a well equipped kitchen (no dishwasher), a large living room with 1 queen size sofa sleeper, 1 twin bed and 1 regular sofa. The cabin sleeps 7. The dining room seats 6-8 comfortably and has a 5 gallon water cooler with extra water jugs. There are ceiling fans throughout. Open the sliding doors in the dining room and walk out onto the large deck, overlooking the lake, with a table, umbrella and seating for 6, a picnic table with umbrella, a couple adirondack chairs and a gas grill. Spectrum cable TV, wired internet and wi-fi is included as well as linens and towels. There is a fire pit next to the lake as well as a great hammock for watching the sunset! A dock, 2 kayaks, a canoe, life jackets, fishing equipment, swim floats are all available and shared with our cabin next door.

This cottage has been in the family since 1992. In 2015, Chris and his 4 brothers purchased it from their parents, made several upgrades and began renting it. I'm Chris's wife Missy and manage the property! We absolutely love Chenango Lake and the time we spend at this cabin. We have 2 adult sons and both grew up spending time at the cabin every summer. It's a little piece of heaven just a few miles from home. Many of our guests agree and look forward to coming back again!

The fishermen in our family will share information on their favorite spots upon request. :)

Folding chairs, lawn games, life jackets and fishing rods are all available for use. Firewood is provided to use in the firepit. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a large armoire to hang clothes. Window AC unit in the bedroom. The living room has a love seat that folds out to a twin size bed, along with two comfy chairs and a rocking chair. There is enough room for an air mattress as well. The gas burning fireplace provides warmth for chilly nights. Open concept design and large windows provide plenty of natural light and nearly panoramic views of the lake. Cook your meals in the fully functional kitchen with comfortable seating for four or cook outside on the gas grill and dine at the table on the deck. This suite is a part of a duplex that was fully renovated in 2024. A private driveway and parking space for multiple vehicles leads to the back entrance with only a few steps for easy access.

When designing this project, we aimed to cater to individuals who value clean environments. Many of our guests have serious respiratory issues and for this reason, there are no rugs in the floors. Upon guests departure, the place is thoroughly clean to remove dirt from the outside and dust. All bedding and linens are cleaned regardless of a guest used it or not. For this reason we ask guests not to clean or remove items from bedrooms.

This is a downtown Norwich area with typical street traffic especially during commute times. We added extra insulation to the home to mitigate the noise and when guests leave the windows closed, the house is most effective for lowering noise and also for keeping the temperature.

Guest access
The suite was designed to give guests a private space within the properties. Your courtyard, porch, driveway and parking areas are just for your use. You won't share your space with other guests.

The back entrance is the designated entry. The door has a coded lock and has a small porch to protect you from the weather elements.

For your safety, security cameras, ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE, watch out especially in the evenings. This resource allows us to receive a warning if anyone enters the perimeter.

We ask guests to remain in their private courtyard. On the other side is the rest area for our other guests.

This property is our retirement project. We renovated this house in 2024. It was abandoned and dilapidated. Our very large investment has made this house a home for many of our visitors.

For the most part, we re-purposed furniture and other decoration items sold at state sales. We take pride on keeping this a classic place with pieces of furniture that tell a story. No worries, go ahead and use everything. There is always an opportunity to replace them with more items with different stories.

Most importantly, this is a peaceful place for our guests to enjoy and rest. Many of our extended stay guests work different shifts. We appreciate everyone's cooperation to keep the noise level down.

This one-level house belonged to my family; 9 children were raised there.

We designed this place for our guests to deliver a home-like experience. You might not see fancy decorations, but we work hard to provide a comfortable, clean space for you to work or relax.

The house is located on an arterial Norwich Road. Although traffic is busy during working hours, you will find a country-like retreat in the back of the property with a large deck to relax and enjoy nature.

The house water system comes from an Artesian Well. This water is probably the best you can get. However, due to its high mineral content, it has an earthy scent.
You will enter the house from the main road to a private driveway. There is a one-car enclosed garage. The side garage door leads to a pathway to the deck and the house's back entrance. We don't use the front entrance for our guests.

For your safety, cameras are installed ONLY OUTSIDE, pointing to the walking path. Although this is a very safe area, the camera allows us to protect our guests and watch the property when it is vacant.

During the winter months, electric fireplaces keep you nice and warm, and you can customize the temperature as well.

Your nearest neighbor is the local SPCA. If you love pets like we do, visit their cool station and spend time with furry creatures.

Many of our guests chose our place because we care closely about removing allergens. This is the only reason why we reserve this house just for humans. However, when traveling with pets, a veterinary hospital offers pet lodging across the street.

We are only a few minutes from the Classic Car Museum, a fantastic collection of vintage vehicles. We are one of the preferred lodging places for visitors to the Chenango Blues Fest, Colorscape Chenango, and other community events.

Golf courses, hiking trails, fishing, and boating sites are also minutes away. In the summer, make sure to include the local Lavender Fest, the Bainbridge Canoe Regata, and the Summers in the Park events during your visit. These events are also held nearby.

VERY IMPORTANT—Many of our returning guests, my son, who stays at the house when in town, and myself, have severe respiratory issues. For this reason, no carpets are installed in the guest areas. We promised our guests the cleanest environment with the fewest allergens. For this reason, we do not welcome pets at this time. Across the street, an excellent veterinary hospital offers pet lodging.

SERVICE ANIMALS - We make exceptions for guests with service animals essential to their health by adding a $98 steam cleaning fee to the stay. This allows us to protect health needs without impacting opportunities for people with disabilities or special needs. Pre-approval is required for this accommodation to add the fee to the booking.

COUNTRY & CITY - Although the house is in a rural area, this house faces a commercial road. Such convenience also comes with traffic noise. We welcome all guests to stay with us. However, we strongly discourage guests who prefer absolute silence.

WATER - The house water system is fed from an artesian well. Although it is a very healthy water source, it has a mineral smell and flows less than city water.

COMMUNICATIONS—The most important message we want to send to our guests is to communicate your expectations for the stay as much as possible. We read and respond to Airbnb Messages before arrival and try to accommodate special requests.

This lakefront retreat offers the entire second floor of the carriage house, a spacious 530 ft.² apartment. Enjoy a private entrance leading to a relaxing sitting room, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully furnished.

The entrance sitting room leads to an open loft space, that features a spacious and airy layout. The loft seamlessly combines yet another cozy sitting area, a romantic queen bed space, an attentively arranged eating nook, and complete kitchenette.

The focal point is the comfortable queen-sized bed with plush linens, inviting you to drift off to sleep. The nearby cozy armchair & table provide a perfect spot to unwind with a good book or enjoy a cup of coffee. End tables, touch lights w/USB, bed bench, a dresser & large closet round out the bedroom furnishings. A window air conditioner is located seasonally in this bedroom loft area.

You’ll find everything you need in the well appointed efficiency kitchen and dining space. A 30 inch round table with two chairs, an electric stove, refrigerator/freezer, large sink, microwave, toaster, Keurig, french press and other amenities. I’ve stocked the kitchen with all necessary dishes, cookware, and utensils along with starter food supplies, spices, coffee pods, assorted teas and essential paper products, ensuring you a seamless stay.

Steps from the kitchen, the bathroom provides a refreshing walk-in shower, and thoughtful amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, soaps, hairdryer, and soft, fluffy towels.

Step directly from your loft bedroom onto your private, beautifully decorated covered deck (16’ x 4’). Cushioned seating, a side table, and a bistro set complete the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the tranquil garden lakefront views, complete with birdsong and the gentle sounds of water from the fountain below.

Guests have a private entrance to their apartment. They will have shared access to the grounds, dock, firepit, & kayaks, as well as full access to walk around the private reservoir.

**Please note that parking around the reservoir is limited. We guarantee one on site parking space per apartment/guest. For those bringing more than one vehicle, advance notification is essential. While we strive to accommodate additional vehicles on site, parking for a second car cannot be guaranteed. We will provide parking arrangements prior to or upon arrival. We prioritize safe and secure parking for all guests.

Water safety is paramount. Guests are required to use the provided safety devices when using water equipment and to follow all NYS regulations and general water safety rules. Forget your worries and relax in our lakefront cabin. The beautiful fall foliage is spectacular. Perfect spot for hunters to stay as state game land is super close.

This cozy two bedroom cabin has hot water newer bathroom and peaceful living. It has a pool table, darts so there is some things to do while your relaxing. Games such as corn hole, can jam, croquet, bocci, chess, badminton and volleyball are supplied. Enjoy a three mile walk around the lake or challenge yourself to a fitness trail (parcourse) consisting of several exercise stations throughout the forest. There is a gas grill on the deck along with a full functioning kitchen. This is a seasonal property. The water is turned off and the property is not available from 10/23/23-5/1/24.

The space
Located in the heart of the museum district and downtown Norwich, this property is the result of a community housing restoration effort.

This is a sizeable two-level suite. On the first floor, you will find a large kitchen, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, a dinette area, a full dining room, and a laundry room.

There is a small bedroom on the first floor with a single bed. Another bedroom in the front of the suite has a full-sized bed and a working space with robust internet access.

On the second floor, there are two bedrooms. One has a queen-sized bed, and the other one has a full-sized bed. There is also an open space for watching TV, reading, or playing games.

The relaxing area includes a Roman tub, a wall-installed fireplace, and a water fountain. For convenience, there is also a bathroom upstairs with a shower.

The house is undergoing external renovation to restore the worn-down siding and parking area. No worries; construction will be completed during downtime when guests are not present.

Discreet and Private. Guests enter the property from the designated parking space for 65-2 Suite (on the right next to the building)

The private parking leads to a stone path to the rear entrance. Guests receive their access code to use the entry lock.

Inside the suite, keys are available for guests who use the front entrance. We discourage this because the house's vintage style includes steep stone-lined steps that are difficult for most people.

VERY IMPORTANT - Many of our returning guests and my family have serious respiratory issues. We have promised to offer a clean environment with the fewest allergens. For this reason, we do not welcome pets at this time. For guests with service animals essential to their health, we make exceptions by adding a steam cleaning fee to the stay of $98. This allows us to protect health needs without impacting opportunities for people with disabilities or special needs.

COUNTRY & CITY - Although the house is in a rural area, this house faces a commercial road. Such convenience also comes with traffic noise. We welcome all guests to stay with us. However, we strongly discourage guests who prefer absolute silence.

COMMUNICATIONS—The most important message we want to send to our guests is to communicate your expectations for the stay as much as possible. We read and respond to Airbnb Messages before arrival and try to accommodate special requests.We fully respect our guest's privacy. Their time together is precious and we do not interrupt.

During the late afternoon, we care for the gardens and will be careful not to disturb our guest.
