Because we're family it worked out given we all basically slept in the same room. Our beautiful modern apartment has been mostly remodeled and can accommodate up to 4 guests. This home features an electronic smart lock that allows for flexible check-in/check-out. The entire second-floor apartment of the two-family home is reserved for guests. It is completely private, nobody else has access to the second-floor apartment during your stay. There is a shared front entrance.

Nice cape cod style home situated on a spacious and quiet lot, located close to the Village and Hamilton College. Great for anyone visiting a student attending Hamilton College. Please bear in mind this is an older home and although it has some updating and it is quite comfortable it is an older home (stairs and floors creek, and upper level bedroom have dormers which restricts some ceiling height).

The space
Whispering Willow Loj is so private but so close everything. The home is expansive with a large eat in kitchen with patio doors to the back deck. The kitchen flows to the living room and boasts a gas fireplace. It is a great place to relax with the morning sun or central visiting area. The living room also has quick access to the back deck. The expansive formal dining room comfortably seats 10 people. The lower level has a spacious den with a 50” smart TV. There is a bedroom suite with and king bed and an ensuite full bathroom. The upper level has two bedrooms one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds. The home stately sits on two and one-half acres of land. The home is roomy with much space to relish. Whispering Willows is a three level home and is decorated with a nature theme decor with many original art pieces. It is a home you and your friends and family can gather and enjoy one another along with the nature that surrounds you. The backyard is private. Relax on the deck and enjoy rainy days under the retractable awning. There also is a dining table for outside dining along with a fire table to enjoy cool nights. All blankets, sheets, towels, soaps, shampoos, and much more are provided. Just ask to see if the home has certain items you may need!

You will receive the code to the front door before check in time. Also there is a locked basement and bedroom that guests may not enter.

There is some baby gear such as a pack and play crib. Please let me know if that is needed or any other baby gear that I may have.

Our 1853 home is full of old home charm with modern updates. Our carriage house is our work studio and you may see us outside working. The apartment features a private entrance, a full kitchen, one bathroom, one bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a pull out couch in the living room. While our space is best suited for 2 people, 3 are permitted with use of the couch as a bed and we’d be happy to make it up for you.

Ample plugs are provided for charging and working in addition to a smart television.

Our small dog lives on the premises, but is very friendly to both people and fellow pups.

We include all basic amenities and stock up with high-quality goods including products from our own little shop, Almost Local located on the village green.

Guest access is permitted in the apartment and the larger of our two yards with the firepit and adirondack chairs. Unfortunately due to misuse, having a fire at the pit is no longer available for guests. Only registered guests are allowed in the apartment and on our property per our insurance. Noise levels must be kept down outside past 9pm.

Our TV is a smart TV, and does not include a cable package. Guests may log into their own personal accounts.

Please note, in order to access the apartment you must climb a flight of indoor stairs – it is well lit and features slip-proof paint and a railing. Please take your time climbing the steps.

When you arrive at our address, simply pull into our driveway to the rear and right hand side, that is your spot! There is room for two cars and space to turn around to pull out. You will see a stone patio on the right and a set of French doors off the rear of our home and that is the entrance to the Suite.

This 2200 square foot one story home with central AC was built in 2005 with an open floor plan and finished lower level. The house is in a residential neighborhood but the spacious yard provides a great deal of privacy as we're bounded on the rear of the property by woods and farm fields. Whether you enter through the mahogany and leaded glass front door or the side door off the driveway, we hope you will find this home comfortable as well as stylish. It's decorated in warm tones in a Craftsman style. Three bedrooms can accommodate 5 adults, with extra sleeping accommodations available on request: a single pull out couch in the office off of the living room, a queen futon with memory foam topper in the lower level room, and a blow up single, baby or toddler beds in the single bedroom. There is a screened in porch (great during mosquito weather!) as well as a patio and small deck off the back of the house. The front of the house has a small porch with two Adirondack chairs.
Cleanliness and safety are important to us. We sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknobs and use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies. We also wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. Each room in the home is cleaned per a strict protocol. We also provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay if you like. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines and would be happy to provide more details if you choose our home for your stay. Please also note that this is a home that is lived in, not a full time rental. Despite this, you can be assured of having adequate closet space and some drawers in each bedroom for your stay. We're a retired couple with grandchildren, so we appreciate families. We ask that you supervise young children but encourage them to play and enjoy the outdoors if weather permits!

The entire home, with the exception of the utility sections of the basement and attic, which are locked off, is all yours. You're encouraged to explore the kitchen, pantry and dining room cabinets for cooking and serving pieces and hope that you'll call if you can't find something you need.

Our guests are often in town for special events, like College Commencement, Parents' weekend or weddings. You are welcome to host a small family gathering. There are lovely serving pieces available and additional wine glasses or folding tables can be provided on request. Large parties and events are NOT allowed but this is a great setting for family meals, picnics in the yard and the like!
As noted, there is no smoking inside, but the screened porch, front porch, patio and yard should meet your needs. Thank you for respecting this request. There are air purifiers in the living room and master bedroom. You can turn them up or off as you like.
