Wood burning fireplace along with central heat for those chilly nights. Huge upper wood deck for cookouts, tanning, or cornhole games! Jet ski is available for a separate fee. Jetski rental is available with signed liability release agreement and coastguard approved PWC Boaters license. JetSki fee is $250 per day

Notes: stairs leading to second floor are a tad steep and as an old farmhouse, ceilings tend to be lower. During the summer months, there will be weekly lawn care.

Smoking is not allowed inside the home/sunroom. If the rule is violated, a $250 deep cleaning fee will be charged.

This lakefront home is located at Adams Cove within Guffin Bay, on the north shore of Pillar Point. Adams Cove was once a ferry landing and is now a landmark that can be found on all New York State Maps. An off shore prevailing Southwest wind makes Guffins Bay great for boating and water skiing, as the water is typically very calm. A public boat launch is located next door to the property.

Sackets Harbor, Clayton and Alexandria Bay are all neighboring locations within the Thousand Islands region.
The source of water is a shore well, therefore the water is not potable. The owner provides a 4 gallon bottle of drinking water at each booking. Guests are responsible for drinking water beyond that.

Picture a cozy log cabin situated in a scenic wooded area of Sackets Harbor, NY and whether it's spring, summer or fall you have the perfect New York vacation site! It is a serene place where you are able to enjoy the beauty of the Thousand Islands and the historic town of Sackets Harbor without the crowds and noise. This is a real log cabin nestled in a beautiful heavily wooded area on Military Road just 2 miles from Sackets Harbor village. This is a peaceful space where you can leave your problems and worries behind. The cabin has 2 bedrooms furnished with a full size bed and a set of bunk beds in one bedroom and a queen size log bed in the master bedroom with a sliding glass door to the deck. The master bedroom also has an adorable vanity with mirror. The cabin has a small kitchenette with table and chairs. There is a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and tabletop oven. There is also a Weber gas grill outside for grilling. We are very lucky to have high quality town water which is continuously regulated.
Cabin is in a private wooded setting adjacent to many acres of state land. The beginning of the Black River Bay is situated on the state land behind the cabin. The cabin is within a couple miles to two boat launches... Sackets Harbor and Dexter. The quaint ambiance of Sackets Harbor, a historical village with gourmet restaurants and gift shops, is only 2 miles away. It has a perfect small town atmosphere. The lively activity of Arsenal Street is only a short 6 miles away bustling with restaurants, stores, a mall and entertainment. Please no pets and no smoking in cabin. We now have free internet!!!

We are located in the North Country about an hour north from Syracuse and 30 minutes south of Canada where Lake Ontario meets the Saint Lawrence River. Located on Pillar Point, our rental is equipped to provide a unique year-round getaway. This is a true lake house that gives a more luxurious experience than a seasonal cottage. The owners are right next door giving you your privacy, but are also available to answer any questions you may have about the property or the area. This is a perfect location between Watertown, the Thousand Islands, Canada, and the start of the Adirondacks. Families will enjoy the big yard that runs along the shore. Fishermen will enjoy parking their trucks, boats, and trailers in the long private driveway. (We have accommodated 3 crews at the same time in the past and we have exterior receptacles for electronics plug-ins.) Everyone will enjoy the beautiful sunsets!

SEASONAL INFORMATION

Summer
Wonderful time to visit Lake Ontario. Festivals, local beaches, charters with Sail Ontario. There is something to do every weekend with close proximity to Lake and St. Lawrence River. Westcott Beach State Park, Southwick State Park, and Wehle Park are all within a 20 minute drive.

Fall
My favorite season. Visit the Burrville Cider Mill, Appledale Orchards for fresh apple picking, and Old MacDonald's Farm for pumpkin picking and a hayride. Northern New York looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting this time of year.

Winter
The harbor freezes early to allow for local ice fishing. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opportunities are everywhere. Goodfellos is always delicious and decorated beautifully for the season. The home is equipped with minisplits, radiant water heating and the gas fireplace is remote-controlled. With the push of a button, you'll be cozy and hunkered down while it snows outside.

The view is even better than the photos, we were able to go right out and relax on our paddle boards and our kids (ages 7, 4 and 1) were able to swim right there in the water. Take advantage of all Sackets Harbor has to offer with this entire bright, comfy townhome! Built in 1890 by the current owner's great-great-grandfather, completely updated to modern standards. Two cozy, tastefully appointed queen bedrooms (AC and plenty of storage), living room, kitchen & 1.5 baths. Shared access to the shaded backyard and deck. Only one block from the waterfront and three blocks from Sackets' trendy downtown, yet in a quiet, residential neighborhood bordering a tree-lined park.

The space
Sleeping Arrangements:
Each of the two bedrooms includes a queen bed. The "Cape Codder" room has a pillow top mattress and a dresser and closet that are completely available to guests. The "Mill" room's rod-iron bed has a memory foam mattress, and despite its lack of a closet (there is still ability to hang a few things on the back of the door, a shelf with rod and hangers, and a dresser available), this room is the host's favorite. Both rooms are comfortable, bright, clean, and welcoming. In addition, the sectional in the living room is a pull-out bed as well, and linens are available inside of its storage compartment to set it up as a bed as needed. It's an Ikea pull-out couch.

Bathrooms:
Downstairs has a spacious half bath. Laundry is available. Up a narrow flight of carpeted stairs, the full bath is found along with the two bedrooms. The upstairs bath is also quite large, with a double sink and plenty of storage space. The ceiling over the shower is not the highest; we have installed a rainfall nozzle with a handheld showerhead for our taller guests.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is completely available to guests and is not in a shared space- please feel free to use and consume whatever you'd like. Our aim to leave a well appointed kitchen; please feel free to contact us before or during your stay if you would like to make sure we have anything in particular available for your use. There are four counter stools around the sink and kitchen counter. There is not a full dining table at this time. However, there is a folding table and folding chairs that could be set up on the back porch or sunporch if that is your preference.

TV:
The large television in the living room is currently equipped with chromecast abilities, a roku, and a dvd player (some dvds available on-site). Streaming services are provided.

Parking:
Up to two parking spots are available to guests-- one is directly in front of the front door, and the other alongside the street.

Checking In & Out:
Check-In is available from 3pm to as late as 2am, as we have a smart lock. Your personal password will be provided before your stay. Check-Out is by 11am, with requests for late check outs permitted by request, whenever possible.

Quiet Hours:
After midnight and before 6am.

Walkability:
We love to walk to West Main Street in Sackets Harbor: Goodfellos, Tin Pan Galley, and the Boathouse are our favorite restaurants-- especially the outdoor seating at all three, and Chrissy Beanz is our favorite coffee shop. We also enjoy walking to the polo fields and Fort Pike Park, the marina on Pike Road, and the small playground and basketball court behind the Fire station. Washington Park across the street from the townhouse is great for sitting and reading on a bench or playing a game of frisbee. While our property does not have a spacious yard, being across from a lovely park really opens it up and adds to its sunny feel.

Other things to note
Please note that this townhome shares a wall with the adjacent space, and the adjacent townhome is sometimes occupied with residents during guest stays. Residents are a family, not a loud one, but there are kids and at times the home is not silent. If this is an issue for you and your party we completely understand! There is also a very cozy separate sleeping area with queen bed, fine linens and extra pillows. There is also a well appointed private bathroom with large shower and luxury towels are provided.

The kitchen is well appointed with large sink, three burner cooktop, convention oven, air fryer and microwave plus an apartment size refrigerator. Host has provided a new tea and coffee station, tableware and cookware. There is plenty of storage as well for your food and beverages.

The space
There is a ribbon driveway on the front of the house with room for two smaller vehicles if pulled all the way in or one larger vehicle. There is also a small gravel driveway behind the house just off Chapin Alley that can fit one smaller vehicle. Please be courteous to the neighbors and do not park in their driveways or across the sidewalk. There is street parking and public lots throughout the village.

After you park, you'll find a welcoming porch with bistro lights, trex decking, and Adirondack chairs to relax. There is a small fire pit in the yard and there are fire starters and a lighter in a kitchen drawer. We typically keep a small pile of wood stacked, but if it is out, a short drive up Broad Street will find many folks selling small bundles.

The front door has a Ring Doorbell and an August smart lock that can be used to access the home anytime with your code. Once inside, there is a living room to your left with a full-size sleeper sofa, large-screen TV, remote-controlled gas stove (remote on wall), and views of the harbor. There is a Nest thermostat that uses hot water radiators for the cold months. The dining area has a large table with seating for four and skylights above to keep the area bright and fresh. There is a half-bathroom off the dining area with washer and dryer. Below the stairs, there is a small utility closet with tankless water heater to ensure you never run out of warm water during a shower. Around the corner, you'll find the kitchen with brand new appliances including a toaster, blender, and microwave. The downstairs ductless mini-split system for air conditioning or additional heat in the cold months. The remote is mounted in the dining room. A large farm sink with garbage disposal makes food prep a breeze. The stairs to the second floor have a handrail and brand new hardwood steppers.

Once upstairs, there is a bathroom with brand new shower and tub, new vanity with makeup mirror and grey makeup removal hand towel. The hallway from the bathroom leads you to the smaller guest room with full size bed and open closet organizer to store your clothes with a wall-unit A/C. Adjacent to to the guest room is the larger bedroom with queen size bed and large screen TV mounted on wall. This room has views of the harbor and a ductless air conditioner and heater above the bed for comfort. There is a small closet with mirrored doors, as well.

SEASONAL INFORMATION

Summer
Wonderful time to visit Lake Ontario. Festivals, local beaches, charters with Sail Ontario. There is something to do every weekend with close proximity to Lake and St. Lawrence River. Westcott Beach State Park, Southwick State Park, and Wehle Park are all within a 20 minute drive. Hop on and off the 5+ mile ADA walking trail around the village. Sackets Harbor Boathouse and Tin Pan Galley are open for the season and offer great food and ambiance. Whiskey Coop for fried chicken and bourbon is open all year and the 1812 on the Lake has terrific burgers and award-winning 1812 Amber Ale, a local favorite. The Sandwich Shop has my favorite Reuben sandwich and numerous other options.

Fall
My favorite season. Visit the Burrville Cider Mill, Appledale Orchards for fresh apple picking, and Old MacDonald's Farm for pumpkin picking and a hayride. Northern New York looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting this time of year. The Bottle of Sackets Harbor offers a wide selection of wines and liquor for those cool nights.

Winter
The harbor freezes early to allow for local ice fishing. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opportunities are everywhere. Goodfellos is always delicious and decorated beautifully for the season. The home is equipped with minisplits, radiant water heating and the gas fireplace is remote-controlled. With the push of a button, you'll be cozy and hunkered down while it snows outside.

Guest access
Our guests have access to the complete property, with the exception of the utility closet below the stairs and closet in the entrance. We keep extra supplies in this closet and can give you the code if you run out of something we have available. For the closet below the stairs, we leave it unlocked in case there is an issue with the tankless water heater but would ask you to keep that door closed.

^< Welcome to our home in Sackets Harbor. Our house has a beautiful scenic waterside view on a wildlife reserve about 3 miles from Downtown Sackets Harbor! You can find waterfront dining restaurants, local stores, historical sites on the battlefield, and boat lounge docks for small to large watercraft. At Sackets, a lot is going on throughout the season, including festivals and other entertainment.

The space
The space offers various sleeping arrangements. On the first floor, there is one full main bedroom with an attached full bathroom and a guestroom with a queen-sized bed. Additionally, the second floor features a loft area with a full-sized bed and a comfortable sofa bed. Furthermore, the space comes equipped with a fully functional kitchen that includes all the necessary amenities, from cooking pots to plates to condiments.
Our porch is big enough for you and your family or friends to chill out and relax.
The backyard is shaded and cool during hot summer days thanks to the trees around the area, which have a swing and hammock to relax on. Outdoor activities such as corn hole on land and kayaks for the water are all offered in our space, along with other outdoor games and a bonfire pit to roast up some tasty smores and other delicious treats at night.
We also have a 50-inch smart TV on site where you can access your favorite apps like YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Disney +, ESPN, etc. In the end, we wish you a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
P.S. If you love fishing, you've come to the right place. Our home is the perfect destination for year-round fishing, including the ever-popular ice fishing, with the added convenience of snowmobile access during winter. So pack your gear and get ready to reel in some big catches!
