It was so nice to relax at the end of the day by the koi pond or on the porch swing. I would highly recommend this gem and will stay again. It was quiet, it was clean and had everything you would ever need. It was a great home base for some sight seeing in the surrounding communities and provided some much appreciated R&R. We loved the hot tub and the kayaks. The fire pit was filled with wood ready to be lit and even covered with plastic to try to keep it dry since there was some recent rain just before our arrival. As you walk in, you will be greeted with recently finished warm wooden floors and high vaulted ceilings.

The first bedroom plus detached bathroom is completed with a large fireplace (not in use) and a beautiful antique window. The second bedroom, or master bedroom, contains an en suite bathroom with shower and two beautiful tall windows allowing all the natural light to shine through. If you prefer to wake up slowly, we've added blackout curtains for each bedroom.

Each bed has been dressed with white cotton sheets, two different types of pillows - high and low size so you can choose your comfort - and a plush feather duvet, we've made it cozy. We want you to rest well.

The kitchen is fully stocked, meaning you could cook a turkey with roasted potatoes and have everything you need, if you felt so inclined. Sit at the kitchen bar. sip a drink and gaze at the lake through peek-a-boo windows.

When you reach the living room, enjoy the high ceilings, local art, and vintage touches. Glass patio doors lead to the deck and wonderful lakeside harbor views. They even shared from their garden, the only thing that would've been more helpful is if the solar charging station lasted longer. My phone ended up dying the night before leaving. When you see the house for the first time you may think "We're staying in a garage!" and that's because you are! I met several people while renovating/decorating the house and found out about 50 years ago there was a skate sharpening business in the basement of the main house on the property. The grandmother of the person that did the skate sharpening lived in this short-term rental. I do not know when the garage was converted into a residence but it was at least 50 years ago.

There are too many businesses to list that are up to a 5 minute drive/15 minute bus ride/30 minute walk! Please look at Google Maps to see the conveniences nearby.
Please ensure you walk across the beautiful scenic Waaban Crossing Bridge which takes you across the Cataraqui River and links the East end of Kingston to the downtown area. You can walk this directly from your house! Just walk towards Montreal Street, turn left at the stop sign, walk to Big Bites and cross the street toward the River and you're at the Bridge!

The cottage was absolutely lovely and comfortable and the grounds were breathtaking with the views of the grassy acreage and Lake Ontario. We enjoyed swimming, bike riding and playing various games supplied daily with the whole family. The ferries were a fun experience as well! We thought we would be running into Kingston to fill our time but only went in once for supplies. So much to do on the Island and so relaxing. Built in 1876, this historical waterfront building has been recently renovated to restore it's original character and charm. The Harbour House is centrally located on the shores of Marysville, the small village on Wolfe Island. Our local grocery store, restaurants, and shops are just steps away from our door. With a view of the harbour, you can sit comfortably and watch the ships glide by, or launch your own boat and enjoy the lake yourself.

The Harbour House is located on the main floor of the historical brick building on Main Street - which once served as a local store and historic bakery.

As you take your first steps in, you will be greeted with high vaulted ceilings, a view of the open entertainment area - kitchen, dining room, and living room. Upon closer look, you'll notice detailed crown molding throughout the apartment, natural patinated brick walls, and large floor to ceiling windows with a view of the harbour. We selected blue hues, industrial fixtures, and a blend of modern and traditional furniture to reflect the shores of Lake Ontario.

Both queen bed bedrooms include closets and large bay windows for ample natural light. One of the bedrooms includes a desk and chair, perfect for working on a laptop.

Each bed has been dressed with white cotton sheets, two different types of pillows - high and low size so you can choose your comfort - and a plush feather duvet, we've made it cozy. We want you to rest well.

The kitchen is fully stocked, meaning you could cook a turkey with roasted potatoes and have everything you need, if you felt so inclined. Sit at the kitchen bar, sip a drink and gaze at the lake through the large bay windows.

With an open concept layout, all guests can be included in the conversation. There is enough seating for four guests at the kitchen island, dining table, and living room. With a Smart TV, board games, and Blutooth speaker, you'll have you need for a rainy day.

If it's sunny, we highly recommend enjoying the outside! Just out the back door, you'll find outdoor dining and seating to enjoy the waterfront view.

The Stableman`s House Loft is located within the main downtown commercial district of Kingston. Everything the city has to offer is almost literally at your feet. However, even with being deep in its heart, its location, just off the main street, means that its quiet and peaceful when you need it, and quick and easy to get to the action when you are ready! You can leave the house 5 min before the Wolfe Island Ferry is scheduled to leave and catch it no problem!

Your feet are all you need when you stay at the Stableman`s House Loft. Everything is in easy walking distance. However if you do want to leave the downtown for some strange reason....The Bagot Street Bus transfer station is a block away.

New to Kingston is DropBike - Its the city`s bike share pilot program. Its cheap and awesome and you should totally check it out! Once saddled up you can pick up the newly extended and beautiful KP trail that winds its way to Pembroke just outside the house or just cruise the paths down by the water or hop on the free ferry and go ride around Marysville on Wolfe Island. The house is located an 8 minute walk from Princess and Montreal intersection where you will find many great cafes, restaurants and bars. The waterfront trail is about 10 minutes walk from the house and is a beautiful place to go for a walk or a bike ride.

Our house is usually home to 6 upper year university students and young professionals who are clean quiet and friendly. There is a huge living room with widescreen TV for you to use as well at 2 shared bathrooms, a kitchen, laundry room and a back garden with picnic table.

This is the ideal place if you walk or cycle and we have secure bike parking and all of downtown Kingston is walkable from the house. If you are driving you can park for free in the streets either side of and behind the house (Bay Street, Raglan Road and Syndenham Street) with the exception of 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm Monday to Friday when it is permit only. If you need to park during these times If you need to park during those times the nearest paid parking is the Rideaucrest or Ordenance Parking lot and you can use the HONK app to pay. If you are taking buses, the Number 1 and 801 go right past the house.
