This lakefront home is located at Adams Cove within Guffin Bay, on the north shore of Pillar Point. Adams Cove was once a ferry landing and is now a landmark that can be found on all New York State Maps. An off shore prevailing Southwest wind makes Guffins Bay great for boating and water skiing, as the water is typically very calm. A public boat launch is located next door to the property.

Sackets Harbor, Clayton and Alexandria Bay are all neighboring locations within the Thousand Islands region.
The source of water is a shore well, therefore the water is not potable. The owner provides a 4 gallon bottle of drinking water at each booking. Guests are responsible for drinking water beyond that.

Drive through our beautiful woods to our secluded rustic cabin on an eastern back bay of Lake Ontario. Located just outside of historic Sackets Harbor New York.

This has been our casual family 'camp' for over 40 years. It has 300' of waterfront with a 15' dock. Bring your medium to small size boat, or we have a canoe and kayak. You can row out to the surrounding islands to swim.

We love to bird watch here. Many Blue Herons, ducks and sometimes a pair of bald eagles are nesting on the property. We have a pair of white swans that come back very year. Kids will love to fish off the dock. If you have a boat, it is a great place to fish.

Enjoy the village of Sackets Harbor The War of 1812 was fought here and there are many historical buildings to wander by in town. There are also many top quality restaurants in the village and a wonderful brewery. The kids can go to Old Macdonalds Farm where they can pet and feed animals. Golf courses are close by. Canada is 45 minutes away!

Sackets Harbor has many restaurants and bars as well as gift shops, coffee shop, Ice Cream Shops, etc. Beautiful historic town. Enjoy the village of Sackets Harbor, the War of 1812 was fought here and there are many historical buildings to wander by in town. There are also many top quality restaurants in the village and also a wonderful brewery. The kids can go to Old Macdonalds Farm where they can pet and feed animals. Golf courses are close by. Canada is 45 minutes

House Rules: It is your responsibility for your safety while on our property. Any injuries incurred while there are strictly your responsibility. Any damages you incur, will be taken out of your deposit. Cleaning fee will also come out of your deposit if necessary. We are on a septic system so be careful with water use.
Please park only on the driveway in front of the house.

There are multi places around town to buy your own wood for the fireplace.

The access to the water by kayak and canoe provided a daily activity of quiet paddling and fishing in the recesses at the head of Lake Ontario. Any imperfection is made up with by the relaxing setting. The history and charm of Sackets Harbor was topped only by the wood fired pizzas and tasty brews found there. Proximity to Henderson Harbor and the St Lawrence River provided several lake life excursions where the family lounged in the lee of Six Town Point and fished for smallmouth or pedaled to Cape Vincent. We had no idea we were exploring a proposed marine sanctuary but understand why. We'd recommend this for anyone wanting to try out lake life."

This is a real log cabin nestled in a beautiful heavily wooded area on Military Road just 2 miles from Sackets Harbor village. This is a peaceful space where you can leave your problems and worries behind. The cabin has 2 bedrooms furnished with a full size bed and a set of bunk beds in one bedroom and a queen size log bed in the master bedroom with a sliding glass door to the deck. The master bedroom also has an adorable vanity with mirror. The cabin has a small kitchenette with table and chairs. There is a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and tabletop oven. There is also a Weber gas grill outside for grilling. We are very lucky to have high quality town water which is continuously regulated.
Cabin is in a private wooded setting adjacent to many acres of state land. The beginning of the Black River Bay is situated on the state land behind the cabin. The cabin is within a couple miles to two boat launches... Sackets Harbor and Dexter. The quaint ambiance of Sackets Harbor, a historical village with gourmet restaurants and gift shops, is only 2 miles away. It has a perfect small town atmosphere. The lively activity of Arsenal Street is only a short 6 miles away bustling with restaurants, stores, a mall and entertainment. Please no pets and no smoking in cabin. We now have free internet!!!

Welcome to our home in Sackets Harbor. Our home offers a beautiful scenic waterside view on a wildlife reserve about 3 miles from Downtown Sackets Harbor! You can find waterfront dining restaurants, local stores, historical sites on the battlefield, and boat lounge docks for small to large watercraft. At Sackets, there is always a lot going on throughout the seasons, including festivals and other entertainment.

The Space is newly renovated. We have one full main bedroom with a full bath on the first floor, one guestroom with one queen, and the loft space on the second floor has one full bed and a comfortable sofa bed.
We also have a full kitchen that includes everything you need, ranging from cooking pot to plates to condiments, all on-site.
Our porch is big enough for you and your family or friends to chill out and relax.
The backyard is shaded and cool during hot summer days thanks to the trees around the area, which have a swing and hammock to relax on. Outdoor activities such as corn hole on land and kayaks for the water are all offered in our space, along with other outdoor games and a bonfire pit to roast up some tasty smores and other delicious treats at night.
We also have a 50-inch smart TV on site where you can access your favorite apps like YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Disney +, ESPN, etc. In the end, we wish you a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We are located in the North Country about an hour north from Syracuse and 30 minutes south of Canada where Lake Ontario meets the Saint Lawrence River. Located on Pillar Point, our rental is equipped to provide a unique year-round getaway. This is a true lake house that gives a more luxurious experience than a seasonal cottage. The owners are right next door giving you your privacy, but are also available to answer any questions you may have about the property or the area. This is a perfect location between Watertown, the Thousand Islands, Canada, and the start of the Adirondacks. Families will enjoy the big yard that runs along the shore. Fishermen will enjoy parking their trucks, boats, and trailers in the long private driveway. (We have accommodated 3 crews at the same time in the past and we have exterior receptacles for electronics plug-ins.) Everyone will enjoy the beautiful sunsets!

It had lots of options for sleeping arrangements, was fully stocked with kitchenware, games, extra beach towels, and the hosts even welcomed us with all the makings for s’mores - which we thoroughly enjoyed! The wrap-around patio and large, grassy lawn provided us ample space for outside games & activities. Families with young children do need to be mindful, as the shoreline is rocky and there is not a beach area for kids to play. Thankfully, the water is shallow, even off of the boat dock, but parents will still want to be cautious. We had a terrific week and will plan to stay here again when visiting our grandkids!"

The visuals of Lake Ontario throughout the many windows are a photographer's dream. They have a deck with chairs to sit and watch the water and the many birds and waterfowl present. The rooms are large with plenty of comfy seating. They included a bag of coffee, pancake mix and syrup for breakfast which was very thoughtful. We've stayed at a great many homes and this one is by far the best. We highly recommend staying here."

Rustic cottage right on the beautiful shore of Lake Ontario. Over 150 ft of water front with 10 ft boat launch and stairs for easy access to water. Cottage is setup in a multiple cabin orientation where main building contains kitchen, laundry, dishwasher, and master bedroom. There is a separate bath house with shower, toilet, and sink.
Additional building has a bunk bed and futon, perfect for kids. Canoe and kayak included with rental.

" - "The cottage was nice, cute and clean great to sleep up to 2 people. The bathhouse was clean a bit cluttered with the water tanks but it was clean. The bunkhouse could have been a better. Garbage was not emptied and some items should have been in a shed not where people slept. The bunk beds were nice but the futon should be replaced. The place had plenty of outside room and was quiet and not real close to neighboring properties or close to the road if you have small children."

SEASONAL INFORMATION

Summer
Wonderful time to visit Lake Ontario. Festivals, local beaches, charters with Sail Ontario. There is something to do every weekend with close proximity to Lake and St. Lawrence River. Westcott Beach State Park, Southwick State Park, and Wehle Park are all within a 20 minute drive.

Fall
My favorite season. Visit the Burrville Cider Mill, Appledale Orchards for fresh apple picking, and Old MacDonald's Farm for pumpkin picking and a hayride. Northern New York looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting this time of year.

Winter
The harbor freezes early to allow for local ice fishing. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing opportunities are everywhere. Goodfellos is always delicious and decorated beautifully for the season. The home is equipped with minisplits, radiant water heating and the gas fireplace is remote-controlled. With the push of a button, you'll be cozy and hunkered down while it snows outside.

(Don't you hate it when you rent a place and find out they don't even have toilet paper supplied? This was a very nice contrast) The porch is a lovely place to have coffee in the morning, and the side yard is a great place to lounge in the late afternoons with the dog and listen to the band in the nearby pub. Its convenient to restaurants and shops. The hosts could not be friendlier, more attentive or easier to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again."
