- "My family and I stayed here for two months while we were waiting to move into our new house. We were very comfortable here and the house had everything we needed during our long stay--four bedrooms with comfortable beds, two large, clean bathrooms, laundry with full-size washer/dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, large family room, high-speed wifi, and a large fenced-in yard for our dog. Our favorite features of the house were the large windows that let in a lot of natural light and a great front porch to sit on, relax, and converse with the friendly neighbors. The house is well-maintained and in a great location in the middle of Warrenton. It's an easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Main Street, or a short drive to other restaurants and grocery stores in town. There is also easy access to Rtes. 211, 29/15, and 17 which makes traveling to local wineries, hiking, and other attractions very easy to get to. Despite it's central location, the neighborhood itself is very quiet since this house is located on a side street. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a weekend getaway or longer rental!"

The property was beautiful, the views fantastic, and we're hoping to be able to book again in a couple of years when we get the family back together for another reunion!" - "We had such a great time at this gorgeous cabin and the hosts were so gracious. We used it for our son's HS graduation. Perfect location! The house was equipped with so many things you often forget when you go on vacation. - "My friends and I were in town for a wedding and this place was a perfect alternative to the hotel block. Granted, Ubers were a little far and few between in the area, but that had nothing to do with the rental property. The place was clean, well-stocked, and well-decorated. We needed to drop off bags early and Fidum was super accommodating. We also got confused and didn’t realize this was a duplex, so needed to move some stuff out of the bottom unit which Fidum was also happy to help us with. All in all a very positive experience :)"

- "The listing showed it had 2 queen beds in the room it did not. A nice lady there says we could get a ceding room cheap or move a twin bed in my room. I needed 2 beds for when my husband came up. The place smelled stale. When I got there the room smelled very strong of bleach and it kind of lingered . The grounds were very pretty. I only stayed one night and found other accommodations but lost my $500 for this place. That’s how dissatisfied I was ."

Spacious bedroom with super comfy Queen bed in single family home in a quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance of lovely Old Town Warrenton. One friendly cat shares the house. I keep her out of the guest room and she doesn’t have any bad habits.

This beautiful stay is in the heart of wine and horse country. We are central to everything! The space
You have your own private entrance, bathroom, workspace, and kitchenette. Plenty of space for three,(but can accommodate a family of 4, with a single roll away bed and very comfy fold out floor mat). Brand new queen Dreamcloud bed, and beautiful heirloom furnishings make your stay very comfortable.
There is even a cozy electric fireplace!
Please note:
1) The tub is a garden tub with attached shower head. Please do not use the jetted tub. There are steps to help you get in and out. For more agile folks! We are working to getting walk in soon!
2) You will walk across the grass front lawn to access your door. There is no walkway. The lawn is a very slight hill/ incline. Keep this in mind if there are moblity issues.
3) There is absolutely no smoking of any kind in or around property and NO pets of any kind. A $500 cleaning fee will be incurred if there is a violation of rules.
4) There will be no parties or unlisted overnight guests. If any of these are observed, you may be asked to leave the property with no refund.
These strict policies are in place to protect our home and our family and insure a comfortable stay for our guests. Thank you for understanding.

Our home offers a fully fitted kitchen with a Keurig combo, silverware, pots/pans, utensils, and other needed cookware. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large family room. The master bedroom has a king size bed along with a sleeper sofa. The family room has a queen size sleeper sofa. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and a small workspace. Bedroom 3 offers bunkbeds (double and single beds) and a pullout trundle bed. The rear of the house is a large deck with abundant seating and space, along with a fire table.

Access to the residence is via a coded door, which we will provide a code. The entire main level is accessible. The unfinished lower level is accessible and you will find the washer and dryer are located there. Feel free to walk anywhere on the property you'd like.

The property is truly in the country. Although we do not permit hunting on our property, there is a possibility you will hear a hunter. Because we do not allow hunting, deer have become more and more relaxed to come into the field and we have a large population of wild turkeys that also visit.

Fox Hill is a two level cottage sitting on top of a hill on 11 acres.
The first floor consists of a secondary master with a queen bed and full bathroom, a subtle themed Disney room with a full/twin bunk bed with a private “hang out” area for teens/kids with bean bags and books. There’s a living room with a small pool table, small bar and bar table w/ chairs and a large screen TV above a fireplace. There is access to the back patio from the living room with Adirondack chairs overlooking the property. There is also a large foyer and laundry area.
Upstairs has the master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom with a walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub with private access to the deck. There is another kids room that is “Fox/outdoors” themed with a twin bed with a twin trundle and a little reading area with some books. A full bathroom is across from the kids room. There is a full kitchen with a dining area and additional dining nook with a total of 12 seats for meals. There is also a small living room off the kitchen with a large screen TV, various games and a PS3. Deck access is off of this room with a large wrap around deck that includes a sectional sofa with fire table, two loveseat sofas & coffee table, two dining tables to seat 9 ppl, a large heat lamp and a new gas grill.
On the property there is a two acre pond, a large playground, two hammocks hidden in the trees, three benches to sit and many lovely trees to sit under for shade.
There is a Solo fire pit and five Adirondack chairs in the front of the house. Down by the pond there is a fire pit with chairs.
Fox Hill in the near future will include a large outdoor hot tub, sauna in addition to picnic tables throughout the property.

Guests staying at the cottage will have full private access to the house and the entire 11 acres of the property.

Guests will be contacted the day of check-in and given the access code when the cottage is ready.

This traditional cottage has relatively small living areas including bedrooms. Ideally it is designed to accommodate two small families with children.

The maximum capacity for the cottage is determined by the septic tank capacity and the weight limit of the wrap around deck.

The kitchen/eating area, main bedroom, deck access are on the second floor and accessible via steps.

The space
Chateau de L’amour is an oasis in the Virginia countryside, between Washington, DC and the Blue Ridge Mountains. This home has been a space for our family to enjoy city and mountains, a place where we have hosted executive retreats, intensives, and other small events. As our kids have now left the nest and we travel extensively for our work, we are making this beautiful family home available as part of the Living Design Network of homes and retreat spaces across the U.S.
