Our guesthouse is located in the historic Tree Streets Neighborhood of Waynesboro, VA, an official Appalachian Trail town, located at the southern end of the Shenandoah National Park. We've aptly named the guesthouse "The Stable" because it was originally built and functioned as a stable. It has since been converted into a cozy cottage for guests.

The space
"The Stable" is located in our backyard, but has its own private entrance and porches. Boxwoods that line the neighborhood also provide privacy for guests.

This is a 2-story guesthouse with a small kitchen that has an oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and fridge. Basic dishware and cooking utensils are provided, along with coffee/tea and basic seasonings.

Central heat is available and window air conditioners are located in the bedroom and living room.

It is important to know that there are a couple of steps to enter the property as well as stairs that lead to the bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are both 1 step down from the living room.

When you enter the driveway and pass the large pine trees, feel free to park in the grassy area off to the left .

On the wall to the left of the garage door is a lockbox with a key, as well as a light switch to illuminate the path to The Big Tiny House (and also to the adjacent Rusty's Retreat).

Follow the path to your left between the garage and the large white propane tank (looks like a submarine). Walk approximately 20ft and you'll see a large pine tree with a sign for The Big Tiny House. Open the wooden gate to your right and you'll see the tiny house ahead :)

You'll have full use of the tiny home as well as the outdoor space that surrounds it.

Other things to note
Although separate, The Big Tiny House shares a property with the well-known AirBnB property Boogie Nights Manor as well as fellow listing Rusty's Retreat. Parking and access points are separate for the listings, but it's possible that sounds may travel between the respective outdoors spaces :)

The house also has a great firepit that looks straight out of an episode of The Flintstones. As we can't guarantee the availability of large deliveries of firewood locally, we recommend you pick up a couple bundles at your local hardware or grocery store. The IGA grocery store (10 mins away in Nellysford) generally has bundles that sell in the $6-7 range.

This small efficiency is located on 8 peaceful acres in Augusta County, VA. Enjoy the views from the private deck and you may even be visited by our free-roaming chickens (very friendly and you are welcome to some eggs). The owners are a family living in a historic farm house just across the driveway, so if you need anything we are nearby and happy to assist. The property is only 5 minutes to Staunton and 25 minutes to Harrisonburg.

The space
Please note there is no Wi-Fi but cell phone reception is very good. There is only one designated parking place. Guests must drive slowly up our road, being cautious of children at play. Pool is only open in the summer; hot tub open year-round. There is park-style charcoal grill for you to enjoy and we supply the charcoal & lighter fluid. This is a no smoking property so please do not smoke indoors or in any of the shared outdoor spaces. We also live in the county so the road is not plowed very often and we have a long driveway, so if there is snow in the forecast you may need 4wd (there is no penalty for cancelling due to snow). We will do our best to clear walkways in a timely manner but all use of the property is at your own risk.

Stars Hollow is a private carriage house located in a farm setting surrounded by views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. By day, the lower garage serves as a floral studio for off premise weddings & events.
