I could've walked (down a serious hill) to the heart of the historic district and to Gypsy Hill Park if I had time, and both were just a couple minutes' drive away. We visited from Liverpool, England, and it was so fun to put on the Beatles on vinyl! The location makes all of historic Staunton walkable, and there are many of useful stores, and many cute stores, and plenty of good options to eat out right there. The tourist information were super helpful. Parking was free directly outside the door which we really appreciated, the kitchen had everything, and we did cook on our arrival as it was very late. The Chestnut Suite has a private entrance with access to a large shared deck with table and chairs, overlooking The Rockwell grounds. The suite is newly updated with finished concrete floors, a luxurious modern bathroom, and luxury linens.

This spacious suite includes an ultra HD smart TV, in-room climate control, twin futon, and dining area with mini fridge, Keurig, and microwave. Please note, we do not provide plates and utensils.

- "Azra & Luke's loft was a perfect place to stay for me and my gf while we did a 3 day skiing trip at Wintergreen. The loft is about 25 minutes away from the top of Wintergreen, but it was a nice neighborhood to stay in compared to being packed into condos on top of the mountain and is affordable for young people. They did a great job with their interior design, it is very warm inside. There's also an oven, toaster, microwave, dishes, salt/pepper/seasonings and plates/utensils provided which was nice. Open up the curtains for a view of the mountains in the morning and using the walk-in shower was very refreshing. The loft is cold at the bottom of the stairs when you come in but it has a nice HVAC splitter unit at the top of the stairs that keeps the loft warm. The mattress is very firm but I found it comfortable after testing it out the first night. Checking In/Out was a breeze. The owners have a check-in book where you can right about your trip and read about others that I thought was neat too."

The wildlife here is abundant. Squirrels, rabbits, groundhogs, possum and deer are all residents. Enjoy the wide variety of birds that visit us every day. Doves, Cardinals, Finches, Chickadees, Sparrows and so many visit our feeders every day. Hawks, Falcons, Owls and many other Birds of Prey fly overhead. Some evenings we see a dozen, or more, deer on our front lawn.

“Quiet, Serene, Peaceful” are words that guests use to describe the setting here. Nature lovers enjoy the hundreds of forested acres around the property, including walking trails and close proximity to some of Virginia's most heralded Natural Wonders and travel destination spots.

The beauty of this location is that we have a Country Setting, that is only three minutes to Exit 99, right off I-64 and three minutes to Rt. 250.

We are only five minutes to Waynesboro, down the mountain, with five grocery stores and all the other amenities you like and need: There is a wide variety of restaurants, and shopping with many large box stores such as Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Petsmart, and many more. Staunton is about 20 minutes from us, a small Virginia town, filled with history and charm. Crozet is fifteen minutes and Augusta Health is just 15 minutes away. UVA Hospital and the University of Virginia is an easy drive on I-64.

We are also only ten minutes to Route 151, the brewery, distillery and winery trail! The brew trail also has great food and lively entertainment, all year round.

We love dogs! Bring your dog! (Up to 55 lbs), w/current shots. We will also consider 2 small dogs, whose combo weight is 55 lbs. No dogs under 1 year, please. There is a fenced back yard, and walking trails adjoining your unit. Dog guests must be non-dog or people aggressive and not excessive barkers. We also do dog sitting, dog walking, dog check in for a nominal fee. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy too.

Centrally located near the library, Gypsy Hill Park, and downtown Staunton, our private, walkout basement apartment has individually controlled heating and air conditioning. It includes a brick patio, private rear entrance and historic details from the late 1800's. It is generally quiet, but you may sometimes hear the two adults upstairs. Come enjoy this peaceful and centrally-located space.

The space
The house was built in 1895 and the apartment is comprised of the rooms that were the original kitchen and family dining room. The fireplaces have been bricked up but the kitchen still has exposed brickwork and the original dining room has the mantle and built-in china cabinet.

You will enter through a private door from the brick patio into a small foyer where you can hang your coats and drop your bags. Two steps down to the left is the spacious bedroom. Through the doorway on the right is the kitchen and dining area, workspace, and bathroom.

Other things to note
The bricks are 100 years old and not perfectly even and there are four steps on the walkway with no railing. Please note that this house was built when people were shorter so the kitchen, dining area and bathroom ceilings are 6' 5" high. The toilet area is a step up so the ceiling height is 5' 9". The shower is also a step up so its ceiling is 5' 8" high with an adjustable height shower head and a swivel stool if needed. The sofa bed is twin size and is only 6' long so it is better suited to children or adults less than 6' tall.

The apartment you’ll stay in is my personal apartment while. I’m renting it while I travel.

I’ve cleaned out the frig, but my clothes still occupy the wardrobe and some drawers. Two are empty and available.

The space
There is a shared entrance and main hallway. In this area is a closet with a stacked washer and dryer for your use.

On the same level is the entrance to your Airbnb apartment.

It is unusual in that you enter into the bedroom area and then into the living room and kitchen.

A small breakfast area is on an enclosed portion of the porch. The table is for two but on the thin side. It was the price for using a beautiful parquet table top I owned.

The back porch is available for your use.

The front porch is a shared area.

The bathroom only offers a bathtub. It’s short, but deep. I’m 5’ 10” and I find it the perfect size.

As stated in the summary this is my personal residence. Two dresser drawers will be available for your use.

Guest access
The apartment is on the same level as the front porch. You enter into a common entry hall. Your apartment is on the right. Apartment 3.

The locks are electronic.

You punch in the four-digit code and you’ll hear the locks start to whir. Do not attempt to open the door until the whirring stops.

If that doesn’t work, it is usually because the door was already unlocked.

You can push the top button to lock the door. That also resets the lock if you mis entered a code.

We love our little imperfect home that creeks and looks pretty good for being over 100. Currently it is getting a makeover and upgrade. Please be aware of this as you are booking. It has a roomy, walkout basement apartment with windows in every room and is tucked away in the heart of downtown. This home dates back to the 1800s, with loads of character and occasionally a bit of noise from the upper levels. It’s not a high-end trendy spot, but it’s humble, and perfect in our eyes.

The space
A few steps down to the apartment and a key code entry makes checking in easy and flawless. A covered front porch allows for luggage drop off.

Guest access
Guests enjoy the entire apartment and use the back porch and yard. We do ask that you clean up after your pet. Laundry room can be available. Parlor room piano in main house possibly available as needed for a fee.

The apartment offers a large spacious living room with a 55" smart TV (log into your own streaming services!), a dining room that seats up to 4, a fully stocked kitchen, and a stacked washer/dryer (apartment size) all on the main level.

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both Bedrooms host a queen bed (sheets and bedding are provided) and the larger of the two bedrooms has a 42" Smart TV, as well. Each bedroom is furnished with blackout curtains, to help those of you on shift work. The bathroom has a tiled shower/tub combo. It is not attached to either bedroom. We provide 6 body towels, 6 wash clothes, and 2 hand towels for use during your stay.

We also provide a starter kit of supplies upon your arrival, including:
-Hand Soap at each sink
-Dish soap
-1 Kitchen sponge

The apartment offers a large spacious living room with a 55" smart TV (log into your own streaming services!), a dining room that seats up to 4, a fully stocked kitchen, and a stacked washer/dryer (apartment size) all on the main level.

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both Bedrooms host a queen bed (sheets and bedding are provided) and the larger of the two bedrooms has a 42" Smart TV, as well. Each bedroom is furnished with blackout curtains, to help those of you on shift work. The bathroom has a tiled shower/tub combo. It is not attached to either bedroom. We provide 6 body towels, 6 wash clothes, and 2 hand towels for use during your stay.

Lewis Creek Loft is located in the Wharf's historic district in Downtown Staunton. The Loft is a hop, skip, and a jump away from delicious dining, downtown breweries, creative local artisanship and unique shopping, theatre, galleries, beautiful mountain trails, and much, much more.

The space
Lewis Creek Loft is located in the heart of Staunton's downtown historic district, and because of that, there are guidelines that must be followed regarding the structure of the building itself. Lewis Creek Loft is fitted with original single-pane windows which are not as well insulated as modern storm windows. This can cause you to feel a slight draft by the windows even if they are fully closed. They also do not block noise as well as modern windows, so you may hear some noise from traffic and events taking place in the surrounding area.

The apartment features original artwork in all rooms, a living room complete with a large screen TV, paired with Apple TV screening Netflix and Hulu. Organic coffee and teas are provided in the fully equipped kitchen to kickstart your morning.

Should you need to iron your evening best to attend a play at Blackfriars Playhouse, we’ve got you covered. Other amenities include Wireless internet, a sound machine in the bedroom, a yoga mat, weights and a bathroom scale.

Please note that the bedroom and living room are separated by an open entrance; there is no door separating the 2 rooms - hence the term 'Loft' in the name, Lewis Creek Loft - sitting high above Lewis Creek, which flows under the Wharf parking lot just slightly to the East of the building!

I’m not going to try to convince you to stay at this Airbnb but instead address the issues that guests have complained about in reviews. This listing is priced accurately and cheap because there isn’t much besides 2 king beds, bathroom, washer/dryer. There is a bit of noise from upstairs when people walk around but usually no later than 11 PM.

Please keep in mind when reviewing that you’re not paying very much to stay here. If you’re going to complain, please stay elsewhere.

The space
Full access to lower level and yard. Unfortunately, there’s no kitchen on the lower level and not much furniture, but I hope to have it fully furnished soon. Perfect if you’re looking for a private spot to relax and sleep for the night.

FYI: I’ve listed this as a 2 bedroom space because both rooms have beds. However, for the sake of not misleading my future guests, I’ve considered the main room as one of the bedrooms.

If you need an earlier check-in, let me know and we might be able to work it out. The reason it’s 7pm is so I have time to clean before each guest.

Heating is provided through three space heaters which adequately heat the entire space.

Please keep in mind that this is a finished basement and not a hotel. I’ve received a few negative ratings because there’s not much besides the two king beds and other essentials. Also, there is a potential of noise because I like to play music and the floor upstairs has some squeaky spots. We will try to be as quiet as we can after 11pm. Please keep these things in mind before reviewing my place! Thank you!

This apartment is your own, personal space with a private entrance at the side of the house. The kitchen can meet all your basic cooking needs, with a stovetop, oven, microwave, small refrigerator, plenty of utensils, dishes, cookware, and seating. Located about two miles from a grocery store and several fast food places. Five minutes from Waynesboro and Fishersville. Ten minutes from Staunton and thirty minutes from Charlottesville and Harrisonburg. Within five minutes of interstate 81 and 64. A great base to explore the Shenandoah Valley. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. Also in close proximity to many hiking trails including St. Mary's, Humpback Rocks and Crab Tree Falls, as well as Sherando Lake.

*Please note that this is a basement apartment. We are a family of 4 that is generally pretty quiet. However, we are not perfectly quiet at all times. You will likely hear footsteps and muffled voices. We provide a sound machine and box fan for those who wish to reduce any unwanted noise. We usually go to bed by 9:30-10:00 p.m. and we are early risers (especially during the weekday for work). We also have a small dog but she rarely barks.
Heat can be controlled within the apartment; however, there is no air conditioning in the basement. Since it is a basement apartment, it stays plenty cool in the summer months. You may open the windows or use the fans if you happen to get warm.

This stylish apartment above Little Opal is located in the heart of historic downtown Staunton, Virginia on the iconic East Beverley Street. The Staunton Loft is the perfect furnished unit for extended stay guests. This unit is deal for traveling medical professionals and is located in the heart of Downtown Staunton with a parking garage pass provided.

The Staunton Loft is certainly not without character. It features exposed brick, wooden beams, knotty hardwood floors, and a clawfoot bathtub (please see disclaimer below). Views from the bedroom and living room overlook East Beverley Street. You can head out the front door and walk to just about anywhere you need to go, including a local grocery store. Enjoy no traffic on Beverley Street and take advantage of outdoor dining at the local eateries from 5pm on Friday to Sunday at 9pm.

The Loft is located on the second floor of a storefront right on East Beverley Street in the heart of downtown Staunton. It is accessed through the back of the building, up one flight of stairs. A parking pass is provided with your stay for convenient parking right down the street at the New Street Garage. 2 hour street parking is also available directly outside the unit (2 hour parking is regulated Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm - there is no limit after 5pm or on weekends).

The living room includes a tv with Roku (Netflix and Disney+ provided). In addition to a queen bed in the bedroom, the living room couch has a pullout queen bed for additional sleeping.

The full kitchen is stocked with most of the necessities you will need if you choose to cook your meals at The Loft. There is also a washer and dryer behind the curtain right off the kitchen, as well as a large built-in desk for those that may need to work while traveling.

The Loft is a great place to kick back and enjoy the character of historic Downtown Staunton. Enjoy!

A great place if you just a spot to relax and sleep. This is not suited at all for any loud noise or partying of any kind.

Our home is in a quiet 1950s neighborhood with great neighbors. It’s a brick Cape Cod in a quiet neighborhood with lots of gardens.

The basement area has been totally refinished into an apartment with new flooring and lots of fresh paint.

The first room was originally a summer kitchen so it was easy to refit the new kitchenette into it. It is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge/freezer and a single eye inductive cooktop.

Next, you enter through french doors into the den area. It has been been re-designed to become a roomy bedroom/living room area.

The living area is equipped with a sofa and large smart tv., and a comfortable work space. There is also a full bath with linen storage. You also will have access to your own closet.

The bedroom area has a comfortable swivel loveseat, dresser and a double bed.

The backyard is private and full of gardens. There is a private patio with chairs outside the apartment, a little table and in the warmer months a hammock swing at the guest’s entrance. There is also a shared larger patio with a fire pit.

There’s a walkway around the house with a few steps down and around to the private entrance into the apartment. The space is private and separate from the owners living space upstairs by a locked door.

Guest have to access to the living space in the lower level of the house. There is a shared laundry area off of the apartment upon request.

Parking is available in a shared driveway.

Please be aware, there are a few steps and the walkway is gravel. Not recommended for people with difficulty walking.

Please note that the apartment is downstairs under the hosts home and you may be able to hear footsteps or some squeaking floors during the day. However, we will always make an effort to be respectful of our guests.

We also have a dog who is friendly but can be contained if you are uncomfortable with dogs. We also own a cat. We generally keep the pets out of the apartment area.

OUTDOOR: back deck with dining for 4, Weber grill. Please note this is a shared space with a longterm tenant upstairs. Generally, the tenant does not use the space.

NO pets, violations subject to fines.

*If you prefer lodging without the risk of hearing your neighbors from time to time, then our property may not be the best fit for you. Also, Staunton’s quaint charm includes the occasional sounds of the train, which comes through the historic station located downtown. Please be aware that you may hear this during your stay.

Just a few miles from Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Walkway, Rockfish Gap Outfitters, and the South River, Sunset Park Mountain Bike Trails, and tons of Hiking options. Wintergreen resort is 15 miles away.

The space
Relax and spend a blissful time in this convenient space featuring a full-size kitchen, eat-in dining area, full bath (with stand-up shower), spacious living room, and two bedrooms.

Kitchen features an oven/stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked for 6 with pots, pans, utensils, cups, wine glasses, etc. Plenty of countertop space for cooking and cabinets for food storage.

Off the kitchen is the living area with a flat-screen TV, sofa, WIFI/NETFLIX provided.

There are two spacious bedrooms in the house. The first is equipped with two queen beds featuring pillow-top mattresses, luxurious bedding, and a closet for storage. The second bedroom has a queen bed and closet for storage. Soaring ceilings throughout and plentiful space. The Basic City Bungalow is ideal for a comfortable night's sleep. Convenient location with private entrance, walkable distance to Basic City Brewery. Short drive to Blue Ridge Parkway and Wintergreen for a full day of hiking.

The unit is a private two-bedroom space with beautiful hardwood flooring throughout. The living room features a dining table with four chairs, two sofas, and a large flat screen smart-TV.
