I could've walked (down a serious hill) to the heart of the historic district and to Gypsy Hill Park if I had time, and both were just a couple minutes' drive away. We visited from Liverpool, England, and it was so fun to put on the Beatles on vinyl! The location makes all of historic Staunton walkable, and there are many of useful stores, and many cute stores, and plenty of good options to eat out right there. The tourist information were super helpful. Parking was free directly outside the door which we really appreciated, the kitchen had everything, and we did cook on our arrival as it was very late.
