I think it is actually closer to JMU than what it says in the listing. We got there in less than 10 minutes consistently. Even though it is close to campus it is situated in an idyllic, rural setting. Three times I walked out to find deer in the yard! The owner was very responsive and communication was great. Visit Rock Ridge View: 1,200 private square feet includes a kitchen, office area, living room, and bathroom – but it’s unlikely you’ll spend much time indoors as the real show piece is the unobstructed views of the fabled Allegheny Mountains. The sky is uninterrupted by lights at night affording star gazing across nearly 20 miles of the Shenandoah Valley. The property sits on 17 acres with walking paths, trees, an orchard with seasonal berries and fruit trees, and a stone patio with chairs to watch the sun tuck into the hills of Western Virginia. We have a smokeless fire pit that can be prepared for you upon request to savor the stillness of sunset and watch for the abundant deer and seasonal birds that call our property home.

The space can accommodate up to 4 guests with 1 King bed and a trundle bed containing two single beds. Kids are always welcome, and we are dog-friendly with plenty of space to run. The unit can accommodate both short and long stays with a washer/dryer and ample parking. We live on the 2 upper floors, and are available to address any needs, and guests have their own private entrance on the lower floor.

House and Parking: When you arrive, you can park in the 2 designated spots in our driveway marked for guests and utilize the newly-installed natural stone walkway with 7 easy steps to the private lower level of the home. The unit has A/C and high-speed WiFi. The space sleeps up to 4 people, and can serve as a quiet getaway for individuals and couples as well. All bed linens and pillows will be provided for you. The bathroom is accessible from the hallway and the bedroom. We provide liquid bath soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as all bath linens. The living room boasts a new 55” smart TV with remote. Feel free to sign in to any of your accounts to watch what you want (NFL, NHL, HBO, MLB, iTunes, Hulu, etc) and remember to sign out when you leave.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker for your use. There is a full-sized refrigerator, sink and dishwasher to accommodate longer stays. Though we think Harrisonburg has an exceptional range of dining options (feel free to ask for recommendations) there is a full set of dishes, glassware and utensils for staying in and cooking a cozy meal.
For Coffee & tea drinkers/lovers: There is a selection of K-cups, Sugar, Stevia and there is a pint of half & half in the fridge for you. We provide different kinds of tea bags as well if you prefer.

Outdoors: You can head out to the patio table and chairs in the morning to see the sun come up over the eastern hills. Close by to our home is the walkable community of Park View and you can drive a few miles into Harrisonburg to enjoy more than 15 city parks. To the East, we are 20 minutes to the entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Driving west, we are 10 minutes from the rolling foothills of West Virginia. If you prefer to stay in one place, you can take advantage of our acreage and explore. We live on a hill and our property has many of the large limestone rocks that give Harrisonburg it’s “Rocktown” nickname, so make sure you are able to negotiate some rocky terrain if you decide to take a stroll around our little slice of paradise. We may have sheep and goats on the property when you visit as our neighbor sometimes has them on our land to enjoy the grasses and wildflowers.

Unique Valley Experiences: We have built wonderful relationships with numerous farms and agritourism businesses and can connect you to numerous experiences within less than a mile of our property. Darron is a long-time mountain biker and knows all the good spots if riding downhill at high speeds over rocks and tree roots is more your style. Whatever your interest, we can help you find your adventure.

This space is conveniently located close to Interstate 81. Bridgewater is a 10-mile drive to Harrisonburg/JMU, 23 miles to Downtown Staunton, 14 miles to Massanutten Resort, and 65 miles to Charlottesville Airport. The renovated space is located in the upstairs of a completed remodeled farmhouse. The farmhouse loft space features a large bedroom with two queen beds, a living room, dining room, bathroom and large kitchen with washer/dryer (We can provide an air mattress in the living room for additional sleeping).

The bedroom space features two queen beds with luxurious mattresses and bedding. The bedroom features a large wardrobe and smart TV. The living room features a sofa and love seat, desk, and smart TV so you can enjoy your favorite show or big game! TV includes Netflix, YouTube TV, HULU, and prime TV. High Speed internet available to work remotely.

*Sipe Center--Enjoy plays, shows and movies in a quaint movie space. Located on Main Street in Bridgewater. (2 minutes away)

*Enjoy kayaking or fishing in the north river. Just a minute drive from the space.

*Enjoy the local shops and dining on main street Bridgewater. Our favorite is Cracked Pillar, Sugar & Bean and Bridgewater Coffee Company. (Walking distance)

*Take in the beauty with a local glass of Wine. Bluestone Vineyard is a favorite in the area and just a quick drive from our space! They have live music every other Friday night and special events to take in.

The beautiful loft is close to North River where you can enjoy fishing and kayaking. The space is also approx. 30 miles from Shenandoah River. Luray and Endless Caverns are less than an hour away. Massanutten resort is a 14-mile drive. Massanutten resort features skiing/tubing/and water park! The Natural Chimneys is approx. 10-minute drive.

The property is a spacious one-bedroom ground floor apartment of recent construction (2018) attached to a garage. It is adjacent to our 1901 historic farmhouse yet situated facing away from our primary residence for privacy. It features an open floorplan with vaulted ceilings and a full kitchen. Outside, enjoy a large, covered porch with views over the surrounding farmland.

Guests have access to the entire apartment and private porch as well as the parking area next to the porch. There is a nice lawn area just off the porch & behind the apartment to enjoy.

Ground floor, garden apartment with almost 900 square feet and natural light, gorgeous views and a private entrance! No carpet-concrete and tile floors throughout. Pets welcome!

The space
This walk out apartment is conveniently located in close proximity to Harrisonburg and the surrounding communities. Hiking trails, vineyards, downtown Harrisonburg, are all less than 15 minutes away. Although it is a one bed, one bath, it has over 900 Sq feet so there is plenty of space for a family. We live upstairs, but give guests their space. You may hear noise from us at times but we try to be considerate! Take a look at the photos to see what the entire space has to offer. There is a full kitchen, a queen bed in the bedroom and a day bed with trundle in the living room that makes two twin beds. The living room has a smart tv, blue ray and DVD player (with availability to log onto your favorite streaming platforms! WiFi available!

There is central heat and air controlled by a thermostat upstairs in my home. In the summer we add a window AC unit to the space to ensure it can be kept how you like! It’s usually 67 in the apartment!

Please clean your used dishes and leave used towels in the bathroom floor!

Other things to note
While renovating, we took care to install high quality sound mitigation materials on both floors, so noise should not be an issue during your stay. Our basement Airbnb is much quieter than a typical basement or apartment complex, although you will occasionally hear sounds from the main floor above you. You may also hear us periodically accessing our basement storage room which is separate from the Airbnb. Our family is pretty quiet for the most part and we do not have any pets.

ACCESSIBILITY:
-There is a small step (10 inches) up to the bathroom.

-You have to step over a 7in threshold to access the shower.

-The shower is 76in (6ft 4 in) tall, which will be less comfortable for tall guests.

-The path to the Airbnb also consists of paver stones set in lawn grass (not a fully-paved, concrete sidewalk).

-Street parking, so you will need to step up a curb.

Only 3 miles outside of vibrant Old Town Harrisonburg on a hill facing the Appalachians is Rock Ridge View. 1200 private square feet includes a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom, but it’s unlikely you’ll spend much time indoors as the real show piece is the unobstructed views of the fabled Allegheny Mountains. The space can accommodate up to 4 guests. Kids are welcome, and we are dog-friendly. The unit can accommodate short and long stays with a washer/dryer and free parking.

The space
House and Parking: When you arrive, you can park in the designated spots in our driveway marked for guests and utilize the newly-installed natural stone walkway with 7 easy steps to the private lower level of the home. The unit has A/C and high-speed WiFi. The space sleeps up to 4 people, and can serve as a quiet getaway for individuals and couples as well. There is a King-sized bed in the bedroom and a Twin bed with a pop-up trundle bed in the living room area. All bed linens and pillows will be provided for you. The bathroom is accessible from the hallway and the bedroom. We provide liquid bath soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as all bath linens. The living room boasts a new 55” smart TV with remote. Feel free to sign in to any of your accounts to watch what you want (NFL, NHL, HBO, MLB, iTunes, Hulu, etc) and remember to sign out when you leave.
**Kitchen: The kitchen has a microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker for your use. There is a full-sized refrigerator, sink and dishwasher to accommodate longer stays. Though we think Harrisonburg has an exceptional range of dining options (feel free to ask for recommendations) there is a full set of dishes, glassware and utensils for staying in.
**For Coffee & tea drinkers/lovers: There is a selection of K-cups, Sugar, Stevia and there is a pint of half & half in the fridge for you. We provide different kinds of tea bags as well if you prefer.

Other things to note
You can head out to the patio table and chairs in the morning to see the sun come up over the eastern hills. Close by to our home is the walkable community of Park View and you can drive a few miles into Harrisonburg to enjoy more than 15 city parks. To the East, we are 20 minutes to the entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Driving west, we are 25 minutes from the rolling foothills of West Virginia. If you prefer to stay in one place, you can take advantage of our acreage and explore. We live on a hill and our property has many of the large limestone rocks that give Harrisonburg it’s “Rocktown” nickname, so make sure you are able to negotiate some rocky terrain if you decide to take a stroll around our little slice of paradise.

For all the Fiber fanatics, we can set up a time for you to shop at the yarn store at the Simple Hill Farm--they sell the hand-shorn wool from their flock exclusively dyed in their proprietary blend of organic plant-based color dyes. We also highly recommend "Back Home on the Farm" and their seasonal offerings that include a lovingly-restored carousel, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, fresh-baked Valley goods, and a nursery full of locally-raised plants. A local farm to table store, Season’s Bounty Farm, is less than a mile away and full of seasonal produce and homemade goods. Luxury industrial loft apartment in the historic Wine Brother's Building in the heart of downtown Harrisonburg - steps away from many restaurants, bars, and shops the Friendly City has to offer. This beautiful unit has exposed brick with an eclectic design, two story living area and lofted bedroom, gas fireplace, full kitchen with gas range, in-unit washer/dryer and onsite parking.

The space
Ruby’s loft is one of four apartments in the upper level in the back of the historical Wine Bros. Building. It was renovated in 2016 and won a local design award. There is a two story living area with exposed brick, cinder blocks, original window openings, pvc and metal piping and a gas fireplace surrounded in soapstone. Decor is eclectic and comfortable with a collection of art by friends and local artists.
The kitchen has a gas stove, soapstone countertops and amenities and appliances to prepare meals. Adjoining the kitchen is the large pantry, with light snacks, coffee & tea supplies, stack washer/dryer and a petite powder room.
The lofted bedroom is up the stairwell behind the kitchen. There is a queen sized bed, tv, ample closet and drawer space and a full bathroom with shower. This space is quiet, comfortable and cozy.

You have the entire loft apartment to yourself. You can access Ruby’s Loft on the back side of the historical Wine Bros. Building. off of Bruce Street. This is also where you can park in a shared lot with Ruby’s Arcade. Guests may also enjoy the shared patio space with Ruby's Arcade surrounded by seasonal plants and evergreens. Other things to note
The Wine Bros. Building is located in a districted flood zone. For insurance reasons we are required to have a “flood gate” system. Should the creek behind our building rise too quickly, the water will close the flood gate and automatically cut off water to the building. While this is an inconvenience, it is rare and generally doesn’t last very long. It also doesn’t affect electricity.

My resort space is close to the mountains, a ski resort, a golf course, swimming pools, and much much more. You’ll love my place because of the many activities that are offered. All units have been renovated recently, and guest reviews have been extremely positive. The professionally managed resort has a $15.50 daily resort fee per unit payable upon check-in.

The space
As an owner, I can access spacious Woodstone 2-bedroom units (4-6 people). Check-in can generally be on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and are for the entire week. Note that the price may be a bit less if you take 3 or 4 nights. If you have flexible dates, I can suggest some midweek stays in the $390 price range.

I will definitely accept non-peak dates (April-June, Sept-Dec). High demand weeks (summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) are harder to get and sometimes only 1 bedroom units are available. Please ask about prices and availability as early as possible. You can get 2 units for up to 12 people if you'd like.

If you try to book directly with the resort, you will see that prices are MUCH higher. Getting 2 hotel rooms would cost much more and you will still have less space, no kitchen, and a longer drive to activities.

Unit Description: Top-of-the-line Massanutten Woodstone units have 2 separate bedrooms and 3 TVs. 1 bedroom has a king bed, the other has 2 single beds, and the living room has a sleeper sofa. The units include a very large jacuzzi tub. Units have a full sized refrigerator, microwave, etc. so they are designed for eating in, if desired. The exact unit is assigned upon checkin but the pictures show what you can expect.
