The photos in the listing don't do the house justice - it truly has phenomenal space. The bed rooms are complete & the entire loft area is a kids dream! This is not a listing where they are expecting you to sleep on the couch :) Truly awesome views & just a walk from the tasting room. The tasting room is currently open until 8 PM on Friday so it's a perfect spot for a nightcap. The attached apartment is very private. With the exception of sharing the driveway we rarely saw or heard the other guests & there are no additional shared spaces. Naturally, the garage is kept for owner storage but all other spaces are entirely yours. Very centrally located to travel to other vineyards and make a great week or weekend of visiting Loudoun County. This place is fantastic! Best kept secret has to be the master bathtub with vineyard views! Entirely newly renovated & modern - 15/10!"

Guests love it here! Tucked away at the end of the lane yet right in the heart of Loudoun County. Private keyless entrance basement. Natural light filled fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances. King bed (very comfortable per guest reviews), full bath and a very spacious living room with 70" tv or movie screen...you choose! We have super fast Verizon Fios. Not your typical basement. Country living!!! There are many vineyards less than 10 minutes away…happy to make recommendations.
The space
You have your own dedicate parking area and direct walk-in access to the basement. No steps to enter the space. You likely drove past our family farm on your way in. While the house is brand new, many of the items in the space are family heirlooms since we have lived on this land for many generations (back to the 1700's). Other family members live on the lane so you are in good company.
When it comes to safety, there are solar lights along the stone wall at the parking area and an outside light by the entrance. We check to make sure the first aid kit is stocked (in the bathroom drawer). There are two fire extinguishers handy (kitchen and bedroom). There are two smoke detectors, one of which is a WiFi Nest alert smoke/co2 detector in the space. The space is thoroughly cleaned between each guest. This has been our setup from the beginning!

The basement is all yours. It is large and open. Please note that we only allow two guests, both during the day and of course as part of the nightly accommodations. No other guests are allowed.

We have a gluten free (celiac) daughter so we can assist with insight with local restaurants should there be a gluten food allergy such as this. The location is ideal being an hour from D.C., 25 min from Dulles airport and minutes from many Wineries and breweries!

Saddletrees are the most important aspect of a saddle. They are the understructure providing horse and rider balance and deliver a comfortable, relaxed riding experience. Likewise, it is our wish that Saddle Tree loft is the foundation of your balance-restoring, comfortable, cozy, countryside-getaway.
Saddle Tree is an airy loft apartment with private entrance above our barn with views of the pastures, pond, woods and rolling hills of Loudoun County.
The space
There is a King-sized bed, living area and a partial wall that provides privacy to the bed area while not blocking daylight. The loft was professionally designed with a pleasing mix of industrial and rustic elements. Exposed beams and duct work draw your eyes to the high ceiling where hidden lights create a cozy glow throughout at night. Outdoor, you can also enjoy the propane fire pit and chairs for watching horses, goats or geese and relaxing as the sun sets behind the pond and trees. Close to nature, horse events, gravel roads for bike rides, wineries, breweries, distilleries; Saddle Tree is a getaway only as active as you want it to be. A perfect place to unplug and unwind. WiFi and TV cable/satellite service are not available. If you want to access the internet or stream content on the provided TV, bring a hotspot. Internet in our rural countryside is challenging even with a hotspot. You must climb stairs: the bathroom is on the entrance floor; the living area is in the loft upstairs.

A tranquil setting within the heart of Virginia wine country. Private apartment within a microfarm home located close to many vineyards, distilleries, breweries and hiking/biking trails. Attend a wedding, get your Bridgerton on by playing croquet on the lawn, or meet your friends to hike the infamous AT 'Roller Coaster' section. The space
This apartment is an adorable walk-out basement with a private, separately keyed entrance and private slate patio with outdoor bistro dining. One step down to patio and then all single-level living throughout the space.
Full kitchen (with exception of dishwasher) includes microwave, subway tile backsplash and quartz countertops. There are plenty of small appliances too, from coffee grinder, programmable drip coffee maker, tea pot and toaster.
Dining table and chairs were hand-made from old whisky barrels. Extra "breakfast cart" provides extra, mobile counter space or a serving cart.
Newly renovated bathroom with extra large shower, and plenty of room in the marble-top vanity. USB chargers and niche make it safe and easy to charge your phone.
Cosy queen bedroom with plush posturepedic mattress, down duvet and extra quilt. Small closet to hang your clothes and luggage rack (second luggage rack sits right outside the bedroom door).

Apartment living space sits below master suite and bedroom is below host's guest suite. While it is generally quiet, you may hear walking around overhead. In addition, host breeds German Shepherd Dogs (Starry Night GSDs) so you may hear occasional barking from the kennel or fenced field. For your safety and that of the animals, please don't enter the kennel, barn, or fenced areas. Feel free to enjoy your private patio and play croquet on the large front lawn. Full croquet set is in the front coat closet along with iron and ironing board.

The entire 1st floor of the cottage. All of the grounds except our house, the barn, the sheds, the silo, and the corn crib. These are old historic structures that may not be safe/suitable (particularly for your children). You are welcome to walk around them and look at them, but please do not enter any of them unless you are either accompanied by myself or my wife or we have given you specific special permission to do so.
