It might be good to have instructions in the units. A few perks: 1. Mail delivery is secure 2. Cable and wifi were great 3. They have coffee and tea near the mail room in the morning. Just bring your own cup. One hiccup: There was no coffee pot in my unit on arrival and the coffee cups were on the highest, most unreachable shelf (I'm 5'6 so pretty average). The cups were easy. The concierge sent a tall guy to move the cups to a lower shelf. I contacted Churchill Living about the coffee maker, and they said a coffee pot would arrive the next day. Begin a bit of a morning coffee addict, I bought one with 4-8 a.m. delivery on Amazon just to be safe, and I'm glad I did. Mine came the next morning and the one they sent came 5 days later. Still, I appreciate that they tried to rectify the situation, and how friend and helpful they are. One quirk: I'm not sure that the unit you see in the ad is the same unit you get. There was a leather couch in the ad, but cloth couch in the apartment. But I benefited ultimately because the "den" had a twin bed instead of a desk, and my sister was able to spend two nights with me when she needed to. "

The south-facing ground-level backyard patio entrance is surrounded by flowers (in season) and mature trees. Inside, there is a living room with a large couch, an office area and reading nook, a kitchenette, a dining area, a very clean bathroom and a bedroom area with a new queen-sized bed.

Super clean, and its clear how much thought she has put in to making each guest's stay comfortable: plenty of outlets/USB ports, great instructions covering any questions you may have, and coffee! Also, her garden is beautiful and you feel like you're staying in your own home rather than a sterile hotel. I was visiting for a training at the NIH, and her home is a 20min walk from the Gateway Center, most of which can be done through suburban side streets. And you're also super close to downtown Bethesda (~5min walk), which makes it really easy to get to DC on the metro or grab dinner at the bars/restaurants in Bethesda. I plan on booking Erika's house whenever I'm back in town and highly recommend it to other travelers!"

- "Great location. Walking distance to quite a few restaurants. The staff were all very nice. The bed did not seem to be connected to the headboard, if you moved in bed the headboard would bang the wall. Kitchen had a full size fridge and enough plates, glasses and utensils. The managing group needs to figure out assigning parking. A few problems. We arrived on a Sunday and told that we could not get parking until Monday. Street parking is free on Sunday, but we had to pay on Monday at 7am to park on the street until we got a garage spot at 11am. Seems like there could be a better system. We had no internet for 2 days until the management was able to send out a repairman. Plenty of towels and pillows. Comfortable beds. One of the two bedrooms did not have a TV. The TV in the one bedroom did not have a proper cable box, which did not allow the TV to broadcast at the same level as the one in the living room. A few cosmetic issues with flooring and paint, but overall plenty of space in a good location."

Looking to grab dinner or enjoy a night out, our Downtown location is steps away from dozens of restaurants, serving cuisines from around the world, including Spanish tapas, Italian classics, fresh seafood, and Indian delicacies. When it comes to shopping, you can take advantage of top-end national stores like Williams Sonoma, lululemon, and Trader Joe's, and local boutiques like The Blue House, Luna, and – for your furry-but-fashion-forward best friend – Bone Jour.

While you may never want to leave downtown Bethesda, there's plenty more to do in the larger area.

You can head up Wisconsin Avenue into Rockville and shop at the big-box stores or head down into Washington, DC, for all the museums, theaters, and cultural events. Both I-270 and the Beltway are close by, making it easy to get around. Or, you can simply hop onto the Red Line at the Bethesda Metro station and get to where you're going without a car.

Really appreciated the building’s amenities, especially the dog treats!" - "Great location with tons to do within walking distance of the property." - "Great building and unit in a terrific location. But please be aware that (a) it's a rental apartment, not a condo owner by the host [and the building concierge let me know off the bat that they've had issues with the host company], and (b) parking is an extra charge that must be arranged in advance. I wasn't asked at booking whether I wanted it, so it was a last minute scramble to arrange it the day of check-in. Also, know that your host is a corporate entity. For me, the communications weren't as good as I've experienced with previous VRBO units rented directly from owners. Pros: Clean, bright, spacious apartment in a luxury building. Great location - walked to Harris Teeter, the local beer/wine store, restaurants, the Bethesda metrorail station, and a lovely walking trail adjacent to NIH. Cons: Sterile, nice balcony but unusable without any furniture on it, poorly equipped kitchen (for ex. no salt/ pepper, oil, foil, kitchen towel, only one dishwasher pod, cheap coffee maker, etc.), no nice luxury touches that I've had at other VRBOs (local coffee, nice soaps, luxury towels, etc.) and there's a police station right up the street so you'll hear sirens at times. Overall, I'd rate the experience a 7/10."

Property was convenient to downtown DC and surprisingly quiet given that you are right on a major street.The property was clean and well maintained. Bedroom is a little small and can be stuffy if the door is closed. Furniture and bed were comfortable. Only wish was that the kitchen was a little better stocked. There wasn't a cookie sheet or ice cube trays to make ice. All and all, a good trip and we'd stay there again if we are ever back in DC."

- "Nice Stay" - "The apartment appeared just as the picture. Nice size and clean. The only con was the bed seemed smaller than a queen and it was really hard. Also the bleach smell from cleaning was a little overwhelming and I could have used a candle to mask the smell but was afraid to light it in fear of the smoke fee. However, overall the stay was nice and I would recommend."

Fantastic location! This is a private entrance apartment in my home just blocks from lovely downtown Bethesda, close to to NIH and Walter Reed, and easy access to DC by metro or scenic drive. Private entrance, bright views, beautiful artwork, and comfortable amenities make for a happy visit. Walk to Trader Joe's, shops and restaurants.

All linens, including comforter and bath mats, are washed for each guest. Every surface is wiped clean. Everything in the space is for the use of guests.

The hostess was quick to answer when we arrived late & did not know the entrance was the front steps. A slow draining sink was quickly fixed. A pleasant weekend close to shops and restaurants. I would recommend highly." - "This property is ideally located, just 15 minutes walk to Red line station then straight into centre of Washington DC. We hardly used our hire car in the 11days stay that we had relied on public transport. For meals we had breakfast in house and ate out all other meals, restaurant area of Bethesda nearest about ten minutes walk farthest that we used about 15 minutes walk. Great selection of restaurants with many different types. We met the owner while she was doing some gardening and Erika was fantastic. The property is surrounded by gardens, we arrived to find wild rabbit on grass next to path too front door, there are all sorts of beautiful garden birds around plus black and grey squirrels. Erika mover a bird feeder from rear of property to in front of house directly in front of dinning table. My wife and I spent many happy hours watching the birds and squirrels feeding. She even topped up the feeder every day. If you are looking for some where to stay near Washington DC to see the sites I highly recommend this property. Rod Brown"

- "The apartment was very nice, great building and nice desk staff and facilities. Very safe and comfortable. Some minor maintenance items to report, bathroom sink doesnt drain, but I cant report it to global luxury site to give feedback errors out. The issue is Global Luxury suites that really created a stressful and negative experience, so be advised When you book a property on vrbo, everything should be disclosed and managed through the vrbo site. Parking was listed as a feature, but I wondered how to access it. I took it upon myself a few days in advance to submit a question, which VRBO referred to the Global. They told me to call them. I called and the rep said parking was extra, $15// day, I said OK, She said I needed to charge it to my credit card, I said OK. She sent me a form which had coding errors in I it and would not allow me to fill out, I tried multiple time,s then called again. Different person, I had to explain it all again, asked me what error I was getting. I said the form rejects my date of birth and sec code. Put me on hold, came back and emails a second form. This one finally worked, but seriously, This fee should have been disclosed and collected earlier in a more seamless way. Not done yet… I received an email that I needed to doc sign things and provide pictures of my credit card and drivers license in advance to check in. The upload site they had was not loading, tried different computers and browsers. By the time I saw the email I was already in flight. My wife tried to help from the ground, and after several phone calls and attempts it was finally solved. However, even a day after I had already checked in, I was still receiving urgent emails that Must doc sign and upload my drivers license."
