Head up the mountain to the slopes and golf course or out the gate to the waterpark and nearby Shenandoah National Park. The owner lives upstairs and as an event planner, is a detailed attentive hostess. Have extra guests? Luxury Apartment ideal for families with little kids in Massanutten. There is a huge deck with private 5-person Hot Tub and small playground on it. It is located only 5 minutes away from the ski lodge, go karts, bumping cars, Mini Golf.The Campfire Grill Restaurant is only 2 minutes away. The indoor and outdoor Water park is 8 minutes away. A gorgeous and spacious retreat in the best location for skiing/snowboarding, exploring the resort, hiking, relaxing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

The space
Henry’s Haven is located within the gates of the Massanutten Four Season’ Resort. Guests have private access to the two thousand square feet of the main and upper floors of this mountain style, A-Frame Chalet. The Haven’s three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and common areas welcomes up to six guests.

The upper floor master bedroom boasts a private bathroom ensuite, an insanely comfortable king-sized bed, an oversized flat-screen TV featuring Hulu live and movie service The room is large enough to allow for a beautiful wrought iron daybed and its underneath trundle-bed. Guests will appreciate the large exposed wooden beams and rustic wooden paneling that further adds to the home’s ambiance and charm. A large sliding glass door invites guests to an outdoor sitting area where they may see local birds, small animals, deer, and the occasional bear and fox.

Guests who stay in the upstairs master bedroom will appreciate a small reading nook that sits atop the steps. Guests sitting in the nook have a bird’s eye view of the great-rooms’ grand stone fireplace and may gaze on the beautiful scenery of the Massanutten Mountainside through the home’s ceiling to floor windows.

There are two bedrooms on the primary floor. The tastefully decorated first bedroom is inspired by Pinterest and utilizes palletized horizontal paneling and faux slate. There is new carpeting, and a very large TV featuring Hulu live and movie service. Guests staying in this room will make use of the second full bath that is beside this room
The third bedroom also boasts an ensuite bathroom with a unique country home touches. There is a twin-sized bunk bed, and two additional twin-sized beds in this room. Guests will find a nice collection of children’s books and a variety of family-friendly movies. Guests may play our limited selection of video games on the Play station Four, may rent titles from a local Redbox or are welcome to bring their favorites from home. There is new carpet in this room as well.

The large well-stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances, two ovens, granite countertops, and beautiful tile laid in a herringbone pattern. The swiveling stools invite families to gather around the nine-foot-long bar height countertop to enjoy food and fellowship. The antique dining table easily sits groups of ten, and there is room for additional tables and chairs if needed. There is a microwave oven, a toaster, and a coffee pot. Guests may bring their favorite K cups to use with our Keurig coffee maker.

The Chef that designed the kitchen invites you to try your hand at gourmet cooking, Depending on availability, she may be hired for private cooking lessons or even prepare an intimate, upscale, exquisite meal. Guests who tour the region’s nationally recognized and highly awarded vineyards will appreciate the kitchen’s wine rack and the built-in wine cooler.

The most stunning features of the Haven are found in the great room. This room highlights a handmade, floor to ceiling stone fireplace, breath taking exposed wooden beams, and an entire glass wall to allow in sunlight and verdant beauty. The large comfortable sofa is a perfect spot to curl up with one of our many books, to listen to music on the Pandora enabled smart speaker, to work quietly using the home’s blazing fast Wi-Fi, to watch television on the large TV featuring Hulu live and movie service. There are a variety of board games that can be played by all members of the family. The remote control fireplace logs are operational during the fall and winter months.

The true attraction of this home is found outdoors. There is a very large deck that guests will surely enjoy. Propane and grilling utensils are provided for guests who desire use our gas grill. A bar height gas table is a perfect place to end the day with quiet evening conversation, and enjoy a glass of wine while keeping the evening chill away. A quaint stone path leads quests a private enclosed veranda that is home to our five person hot tub.

The home is located on the quiet side of the Massanutten Resort. Guests and neighbors observe quiet time between 11 pm and 700 am. Our home is ideal for friends and families who desire the peace and tranquility of the mountain. Guests who desire a more rambunctious vacation will enjoy themselves in a different setting as our neighbors will complain of there is too much noise.
The six guest limit reflects local regulations and laws. This must be strictly enforced per Massanutten Covenants. Please be aware that we don't refund for weather related cancellations and suggest purchase of cancel for any reason trip insurance

The entrance to the home is by private keypad.

Guests have private access to the main and second floor, the outdoor living areas, the private drive, and the hot tub.

There are literally too many activities to enjoy during a typical visit to Massanutten. Most of the activities will require an entrance charge. Please note that no guests in any of the mountain homes are able to access the activates free of charge, and this has been a source of confusion and angst noted from other Air B&B hosts.

We want you to enjoy your stay with us, but quietly. Our neighbors expect not to hear our guests just as we don't want to hear theirs.

Loud music/sounds are not allowed. If our neighbors complain then the Massanutten police department is within their rights to remove you without refund. Also, the 6 guest limit is strictly enforced, so again be aware.

This is a mountainous home. The decks and driveway are high off of the ground. Access to the home is by stairs. This should be taken into consideration by those traveling with small children, and those whose physical condition does not permit the navigation of multiple stairs and terrains.

Check-in is after 4pm. Check out is 11am.
