We do allow dogs, however they will need to stay in our large out door kennel, which is located just outside the studio under the screened in porch, The kennel is protected from weather. Harold is highly allergic to dogs, so unfortunately we can't allow them to stay in the house. We totally understand that his might not work for everyone. We built the kennel so our children could visit with their furry friends.

At the end of a private lane you reach a secluded lakefront estate on 4 acres with 550' of lakefront. Kayaks and a rowboat with electric motor are available to responsible guests. A covered gazebo and hammock at waters edge allow you to enjoy the wildlife by day (including deer, beavers, herons and eagles) and a large fire pit will take off the chill at night.

Surrounded by wineries, distilleries and breweries, Blue Ridge hiking trails, and Civil War sites. A mere 10 minutes to downtown Culpeper where everything from family restaurants to renowned fine dining is available.

The guest suite has private parking, a private entrance and even its own private patio with dining table, chaise lounges and gas grill. There many peaceful and secluded places with chaises, hammocks, etc to take in the beauty of your surroundings.

Large manicured lawns allow for games of bocce, badminton and croquet, bean bag, Frisbee, etc provided--look in the deck boxes off your patio or just ask. Watercraft and safety vests available down at the lakefront. Hammock. Seating at the huge firepit [--we are in the process of replacing our gazebo, which was taken out in a recent storm]

A public park--Mt Run Lake Park-- is nearby which has a playground and can also accommodate large events such as weddings and reunions. The park also has a fenced dog run for your furry friends.

The apartment itself is very large with a full kitchen, full bath, bedroom with king size bed and living area with large sectional sofa that easily sleeps two. The Living area has spectacular views of the lake and the bedroom overlooks a manicured and beautifully landscaped yard.

We are on a an artesian well so appreciate respect for water use:) We also have a sophisticated water treatment system so the water to is very safe to drink straight from the tap. You will receive the keypad code 24 hours in advance of arrival. You will type in the 4–6-digit code then hit the "lock" icon to unlock the door. You will need to push the door open firmly.

To lock the door, please pull the door firmly closed and hit the "lock" icon on the keypad. If you hear one beep, the door is locked. If you hear three beeps, the door is NOT locked.

Do not lock the bottom handle from the inside or you will get locked out of the apartment.

Your hosts have a dog (named Blue) that lives at the house on the premises. When outside for walks, he will be leashed.

There is internet TV in the apartment that is listed as Aron’s Place. Cable TV is available in the add-on option of the pool room/den (Aron’s Place Plus). There is WiFi access for all. The kitchen is fully outfitted with dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, pans, microwave, toaster oven and blender. There is a full size oven and refrigerator. I have two yappy dogs and two cats. You may hear them periodically. I am a marriage celebrant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, just in case you have come here to elope. I am also a novice glassblower, and can provide you with information for classes and lessons while you are in the area if interested. You will be within 1/2 mile walk, one way, of a grocery store, pharmacy, downtown shopping, indoor climbing facility and at least ten restaurants. From May - October the farmer’s market is a block away.
