Shoal Creek Cottage is a circa 1920 farmhouse newly remodeled with modern amenities and vintage flair. Bikers and hikers will certainly enjoy the easy access to Dupont Forest as one access trail is located within short walk or bike ride from the cottage. The cottage is nestled in a small valley on a 30-acre working horse farm along Shoal Creek. Welcome to C & G's Rocky Broad River Cabin - the longest 'family owned' rental property in Bat Cave. One step onto our back porch and you'll be "hooked"!!! Remodeled in 2010, the porch boasts over 300 sq. ft. of screened-in space which is a great extension of the living area of the cabin. Here, you can rest, relax, read, or even take a nap while listening to the river in complete "bug-free" comfort. Better yet, start your morning with breakfast on the porch; lunch and dinner work equally as well. There is seating for 6 at the table but with all this space, more can be included.

Originally purchased by my grandfather in 1947, we have owned the house since 1987 and now it will be passed down to our grandchildren, Carson and Gabby Kincaid. Since starting this ad, Carson is now 12 years old and Gabby is 7. Both enjoy playing in the river and exploring!!

We have completely remodeled the upstairs (downstairs not yet available) and have updated all utilities and living spaces. Practically everything is new - granite counter tops, cabinets, bathroom, wiring, and plumbing.

The Foxhole Cottage has a celebrated history. This 2 bedroom/1.5 bath, 1940's cottage was originally built as a carriage house behind the historical stone house on the property, which was known as the Brightwaters Guesthouse, established in 1938. Upstairs housed 3 rooms - 2 were bedrooms for the cooks who came from Florida in the summers to cook at the Brightwaters Lodge and Dining Room, which used to be in the center of the property. A third room was used for the storage of goods. Renovations in the 1970's enclosed the downstairs (now the living/dining rooms and kitchen and half bath) and combined 2 rooms into 1 large master bedroom upstairs. The name, "Foxhole", is original to the structure.

Today, the Foxhole Cottage has been refreshed and restored to it's former glory, exposing the refinished hardwood floors on the upper level, the original rustic doors and the beamed ceilings.

The Foxhole Cottage is a great house for getting away to enjoy the outdoors.Very close to all of the best mountain biking and hiking trails - DuPont, Pisgah, Bent Creek and Mills River. The Foxhole Cottage is centrally located to dining, breweries and entertainment in Hendersonville, Brevard and Asheville.

The Ecusta Trail House is an adorable, rustic two bed one bath house built in the 1940’s. Originally built as a flower barn for arranging flowers, the Barn house has been fully renovated into a cozy living space! Guests will have the entire upstairs of the house to yourself. The space below is just for storage, not for guest use. Our cozy cottage is just over a mile away from down town Hendersonville! We are about 40 minutes to downtown Asheville and just 20-30 minutes to Brevard, Pisgah National Forest, and DuPont State forest.

We are a dog only friendly home (NO CATS). Our neighborhood is very flat and safe to walk around! THINGS TO NOTE: the yard is not yet fenced in, so please be sure to leash your pups at all times. TV: We do not offer cable channels. You are welcome to bring a Roku/fire stick to plug into the TV’s. Both TV’s are smart TV’s with lots of streaming apps.

My 700 sq ft retro cottage is in the Druid Hills neighborhood, a mile from downtown Hendersonville and 30 minutes south of Asheville. It is ideal for one or two with a dine-in kitchen, cozy living room, separate office/reading nook and airy bedroom. Enjoy the cool screened porch & sunny deck. Walk to Patton Park (greenway), Papa's & Beer Mexican Restaurant and Joey's Bagels (the best bagels in WNC). 30 minutes from waterfalls, hiking and mountain biking in Dupont and Pisgah forests.

The space
Welcome to Meadowbrook Cottage, my 700 sq ft cozy in-town retreat. It has been renovated over the last few years with an eye to keeping some of its 1928 quirkiness. With a new Mitsubishi split A/C system the cottage is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. As a rear cottage (my neighbors are to the front and side, separated by privacy fences) it boasts trees, birdlife and a large backyard - yet it's close to several restaurants and only a mile from our charming downtown. Being in Hendersonville it's also close to some of the best hiking and mountain biking in the Southeast - just 30 minutes to DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Downtown Asheville and Brevard are also just 30 minutes in either direction.

The cottage itself is renovated with new appliances in the retro kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with a range of spices, quality cooking equipment and a gas stove. The living room has a 37" flatscreen with Apple TV and HBO Now and the bedroom has a 22" flatscreen with Blu-Ray player. Both TVs also have Netflix, Hulu, etc. (which can be signed into using your own account), and several local channels are available on the living room TV. The bedroom has a Queen bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress. A stacked washer and dryer are in a dedicated closet, and if you have work with you there is even a separate office with a desk, printer and reading nook. French doors lead from the living room to a cool screened porch (wonderful on summer evenings) and the sunny wraparound deck is a great spot for morning coffee.

Other things to note
Hurricane Helene marginally washed out the driveway. We have already paid for it to be black-topped but the waiting list is long after all the damage in the area. It's ok for most vehicles to get to the cabin, it's just a little bumpy :)

Guests are given two checkout options. By default they have a discounted cleaning fee if they do a short list of checkout instructions. The second option is paying the full standard fee charged by all rentals in the area and guests can leave it as is.

The space
Original cottage was built in 1928 as a summer guest house. Updated by us in 2005 to include a master suite, and to restore historic details. There is a gas insert in living room fireplace , also 2 smart TVs (we just upgraded one of the TVs ...now a 50” Samsung smartTv) .The cottage has central air and heat for year 'round comfort. And "Four Seasons" Hendersonville has, indeed, four distinct seasons to savor and enjoy.

With 1000 sq. feet of living space there is ample room for an active family, or just more elbow room for a romantic couple. Not included in the square footage is a basement room with a full sized washer and dryer .

The cottage is part of a 26 acre estate, with fishing pond, lawns and hiking trail. There is ample parking between the barn and cottage for your car, van and/or camper.

If you are an early riser you might see deer cavorting on the lawn at dawn. Or ducks, geese and wild turkey anytime.

Guests have access to the pond (with rowboat), hiking trail, lawn...including a "4 hole" golf course (chip and putt...we keep a few clubs and a bucket of balls on hand for the use of our guests). There is a bocce court on the lower lawn, as well as horseshoes. We've recently added a small sand beach on the pond shore with sand toys for the kids.
On the porch of the main house you will find firewood, starter and matches for the stone fire pit, a croquet set, badmitten set, and a couple of fishing poles.
Guests may enjoy walking down to the gazebo on the pond to feed the ducks or just sit and daydream.

Guest access
There is no sidewalk or street parking, but there is ample parking in the driveway for several vehicles. The road in front of the house offers quick access to downtown and has become busy. There may be some noise from cars, chickens, and dogs.

We do like to let guests know that our driveway is around a blind curve, so be careful pulling out of the property. There is, however, a bubble mirror across the street that allows guests to see around the curve for oncoming traffic.

Flat rock park and jackson park are less than five minutes away and have many trails. Flat rock park has playgrounds and Jackson park has a great fenced in dog-play area.

If you're interested in bringing a pet, the fee is $30 per pet per 5 days.

The space
The newly renovated kitchen has all new appliances, counter tops, cabinets, and flooring. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric oven/ range, cookware, utensils, dinnerware and basic spices. There is a 40 inch flat screen TV with Cable TV in the kitchen and in the sitting room and a small TV with a cable connection in the bedroom. Wireless internet and phone is included. This adorable cottage is tiny house sized, but feels spacious. The Haven is on its own property, a 1/2 acre of quiet mountain land with a large fenced-in yard and thoughtful gardening around it.
You'll find some beloved books, cozy bed, and well-appointed kitchenette with all you need to prep your morning beverages and home-cooked meals.
The bar-height table can be used for dining or as a dedicated workspace (standing or seated).
High-speed satellite wifi is available for your convenience.

Other things to note
The Haven is situated by a road in a quiet residential area, just outside of downtown Hendersonville. The cottage is located on a mountain, about a mile up an unpaved road. There can be a few bumps, but 4WD isn't necessary. You can also drive to the cottage via Davis Mtn Rd, which will lead you on a route that is paved until the last 1/4 mile of gravel.

The Ecusta Trail, Hendersonville's newest rails-to-trails path, is located just a few minutes from the cottage and is perfect for bike riding, running, or walking. This paved trail, parts of which are currently under construction, will eventually connect downtown Hendersonville to Brevard with beautiful scenery along the way.

The screen porch (everyone's favorite spot!) backs up to the woods and features a charming pass-through window to the kitchen, a table for outdoor dining, and a cozy loveseat. It's the perfect place to enjoy birdsong in the morning and a glass of wine under the twinkling lights at night.

If you have a dog who travels with you, they will love the huge fenced yard that adjoins the cottage. Please bag any dog poop and dispose of it in the small trashcan provided on the patio.

The Ecusta Trail House is a rustic two bed one bath house built originally as a flower barn, and has since been fully renovated into a comfy vacation home. You will have the entire upstairs to yourself, the space below you is storage space. Our place is just 1.5 miles from down town Hendersonville, 40 minutes to downtown Asheville, and just 20-30 minutes to Brevard, Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State forest. The Ecusta Greenway is just a 5 minute walk from the house. Great central location!

The space
Guests may use the carport and entire yard on the right side of the house. This is not yet a fenced in yard, so please bring a leash for your pup.

The barn doors below you are for storage only, not for guest use.

ECUSTA TRAIL: The Ecusta trail is just a 5 minute walk or a one minute bike ride from the house. The Ecusta trail is an old railroad that is in the process of turning into a greenway path that connects Hendersonville and Brevard! Perfectly flat and open to walkers and bicyclers.
PLEASE NOTE: most of the trail is open to the public however, not all of it is paved yet (mostly still gravel) so please use at your own caution. The trail on the Brevard side has not started yet.

PROVIDED AMENITIES: I will provide K-kups, ground coffee with filters, cream, sugar, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conidtioner, body wash, laundry supplies, and trash bags for the duration of your stay.

PET FEE IS $45. We are a two dog MAX house, and unfortunately cannot allow cats. I do have a double dog bowl for food and water.

TV: Our house does have high speed internet and a smart TV in the living room and master bedroom. PLEASE NOTE: we do not have cable channels.

COOLING: The house has AC window units in each room. There are box fans in each closet for additional cooling.

HEATING: the living room and dining room are heated by a tall gas heater in the dining room. There is also a smaller gas heater in each bedroom with detailed instructions on how to operate them.

Firewood is not something that I provide regularly but all local grocery stores sell bundles of wood.

Guest access
Guests can access the house from the staircase on the left side of the house. The lower level with the barn doors under the carport is for storage only, not for guest use. Guests can pull under the car port or park in the gravel in front of the carport if it is a taller vehicle.

Other things to note
Although we do regular cleanings between each guest, we still ask that guests try to keep dogs off of the furniture so that we can prolong the quality and cleanliness of our pillows, quilts, comforters, and couches.

We are located just a short drive from Hendersonville, Asheville, and Brevard. We are 30 minutes from the famous Biltmore House, we are 20 minutes from Dupont State Forest. We are only 15 minutes away from the Asheville Regional Airport.

When you make a reservation at Faith Family Friends Cottage, you are agreeing to the following terms:

Our Cottage is privately owned by individuals who take great pride in the quality of the property.
It is cleaned and maintained by the owners to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.
As our guest, you are responsible for taking care of the property, furnishings and grounds as if it were your own home, and for leaving the home as you found it!
You are also responsible for the behavior of your guests.
If there is a serious problem requiring immediate attention, please contact us within one hour of your arrival so that any problems can be resolved quickly.
In order to leave the cottage in the same condition in which you found it, and to avoid additional charges, you are expected to complete the following tasks prior to your 11:00 AM departure:
Garbage. Place all garbage into garbage bins located outside the cottage. Trash bags are provided for you under the kitchen sink. If you need additional bags, please call us.
Clean Kitchen. Wipe all kitchen surfaces so that they are free of grease and food. Empty the refrigerator completely. Place soiled dishes in the dishwasher and start a load (using the dish washing detergent tablets provided under the kitchen sink) or hand wash all dishes.
Bed Linens and towels. Leave all soiled bed linens on beds and place all towels and washcloths in the laundry basket provided beside washer and dryer.
Furniture. If furniture has been moved during your stay, return to its original location.
Thermostat/Lights. During your stay, please set the AC no lower than 72 degrees in the summer, or the heat no higher than 69 degrees in the winter. Turn off all lights, lock all doors and windows.
Report Damages. Report any damages immediately by calling us (the phone numbers and email will be provided in guest book and welcome email) or emailing so that repairs can promptly be made before the next guest arrives. Please be aware that any costs for damages to the property are violations of the policies stated below are your responsibility.
Rental Policies – Please read carefully to avoid additional charges
We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and quality workmanship, as this is how we attract great customers like you. When our policies are not followed, we must charge for negligence or damages.

Check-in is after 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am. It is very important that these check-in and check-out times be upheld in order to give us enough time to thoroughly prepare the cottage for our incoming guests, to determine if previous guests left personal items behind before new guests arrive and to make emergency unanticipated repairs. Late checkout may result in a charge up to an additional day’s rental.

No smoking policy. Smoking is permitted outside only, where ashtrays are provided. Evidence of smoking inside the cottage will result in a $200 charge to cover additional cleaning and odor/smoke removal. Many of our guests are highly sensitive to smoke and complain about the smell.

No pet policy. If evidence of pets is found in the cottage, you will be asked to leave immediately (with no refund) and an $200 additional cleaning fee will be assessed for this policy violation. Some of our guests are allergic and/or sensitive to pet odors or fur and we must thoroughly clean and deodorize after pets have been in the cottage.

Furniture policy. Furniture should not be moved or should be returned to its original location by our guests before departure.

Maximum number of guests. The maximum number of guests permitted in our cottage is 6. This restriction is imposed by the State Fire Marshall for your safety. If more than 6 guests are found to be in the cottage, you will be asked to leave immediately with no refunds if you exceed capacity.

Television service. The television in the living room is set up with Netflix and Hulu. Please use accordingly. If you have a problem using the smart television, please turn to the page labeled TV Use.

Repair issues. We will make every effort to resolve any problems or emergency needing repairs to us before 6pm. No repair is guaranteed and mechanical failures beyond our control will not be guaranteed a refund.

Excessive noise/inappropriate behavior. Out of respect for all guests, excessive noise or inappropriate behavior is prohibited. In the event of excessive noise or other inappropriate behavior, or if complaints are received from neighbors, you will be told to leave immediately with no refunds.

Driving conditions. Guests must exercise caution and drive at their own risk. We are not responsible for expenses for towing to pull vehicles out of ditches or for vehicle repair.

Locking cottage. Guests must lock all doors and windows at any time the cottage is not occupied.

Extra cleaning charges. If you complete the five tasks listed before your departure, the cabin should be left in the same conditions when you arrived, except for the bed linens, towels and washcloths left for us to wash. If we find that the property and/or grounds require extra time and effort to clean because you failed to leave it in good condition and/or did not complete these tasks, an additional cleaning fee of $50 will be assessed.

Missing/Damaged items. Inventory is taken prior to check-in and after check-out, including accounting for all towels, bed linens, pillows, etc. The cost to replace missing or damaged items, or to repair damage to the property, furnishing, and/or grounds will be assessed to the guest responsible.

NOTE: Owners are NOT responsible for damage to or loss of tenant’s personal property. Any personal items left in the cottage will be held for one week. If you pay the shipping cost, plus a $25 handling fee, we will ship forgotten items to you as soon as your funds are received.

Garage: Access to the garage/laundry is not included unless prearranged. Access can be granted for secure bike storage or laundry for stays over 5 days. Garage can not be utilized for car parking.

Soul Shine Sanctuary is an eclectic 850sqft bungalow. It feels alive with plants inside and out and will remind you to live life colorfully with the creative concoction of colors and decor.

The downstairs has a full kitchen with breakfast nook & counter seating, living room area, one bedroom and a full bathroom. The loft has a bohemian vibe with the butterfly floor pillow lounge and king size cloud bed. The bean bag can be set up as a full sized floor bed for extra sleeping space if needed upon request.

The outside is an experience in itself; with a small covered porch area for those rainy days, wrap around deck, private hot tub, fire pit, charcoal grill, rock landscaping with (seasonal) waterfall feature. No need to go to the park, you will have your very own private one out back✨

The space is perfect for couples, small group of friends/family to reconnect or a solo retreat to ground your soul amongst the trees.

Other things to note
The gravel road leading to Soul Shine Sanctuary did have significant damage from Hurricane Helene. The debris we have cleaned up as a community is a bit of an eye sore and the road a bit bumpier than usual though it is very much passable. Extra caution is advised however 4x4 is NOT required.

Unfortunately our contractor has fallen behind in getting to our road as you may know much of WNC and neighboring states experienced wide spread devastating damage. That being said the road is passable and we hope to have our road work complete by the end of July. Thank you for your understanding.

Enjoy this updated 2BR/1BA Jeter Mountain cottage built in 1941 on 1- acre near DuPont State Forest, Holmes Educational Forest, & Jeter Mountain Farm. This dog-friendly property has a large fenced back yard with firepit , outdoor covered porch, and is equipped with a full kitchen, gas log fireplace & HVAC, and washer/dryer. Close to both Hendersonville & Brevard.

The space
The cottage was built in 1941 on a stacked stone foundation and sits on the hillside of Jeter Mountain on 1-acre of mixed woods and grassy lawn (including a large fenced backyard). The property is beautifully landscaped with flowers and trees, and hosts an abundance of birds and other wildlife. The 2 bedrooms are cozy with queen size beds in each plus 1 large bathroom, full kitchen, dining room, and living room with gas log fireplace providing ample space for 2 couples or a small group of friends or family. The entry room has a stand-up desk perfect for working remotely and a small seating area with great views of Pinnacle Mountain in the distance. There are several outdoor areas to enjoy within the fenced backyard including a large covered patio/porch with seating and dining space and a firepit area with seating.

We are conveniently located half way in between Brevard and Hendersonville, a 10 minute drive to Flat Rock for shopping and food or DuPont State Forest for enjoying hiking, biking, and equestrian activities, and a 20-minute drive to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest which is the gateway to hundreds of miles of hiking and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The home has a great layout. Upstairs on the main level you will find 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, den, kitchen, and laundry room. The kitchen is fully stocked with most cooking utensils and gadgets that you would need to make a gourmet meal. We have a keurig and large coffee maker provided. We also have a crock pot and griddle. The ice maker does not work on the fridge. We offer a large 8 person dining table right in front of double sliding glass doors to feel the cool breezes and enjoy the view while you dine. A large comfy sectional couch is in the den area to curl up and read a good book or watch tv on the smart TV mounted above the wood burning fire place.

Down the spiral staircase is another den area with pull out couch and kitchenette. In the kitchenette area is a small dorm size fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. A queen bedroom and full bathroom are also located downstairs. A door is located between the two levels that can be closed that leads upstairs so perfect when traveling with multiple families. The downstairs also has it's own entrance with sitting area and access to the backyard.

A fire pit is provided.

Wifi is provided complimentary but please note we are in a wooded area so it could be subject to weather.

Only 10 guest allowed on the property. This applies to visitors as well. NO LARGE GATHERINGS allowed.

There is only room for 4 cars to park in our driveway. Parking is not allowed on the road. Plan accordingly with everyone staying at the property.
