Our secluded log cabin was built in 2022 originally to house a caretaker for the property we were raised on. Our family has been there over 50 years, we have always loved the creeks, woods, and abundant wildlife on our wooded glen. We are now happy to open our slice of heaven in Hendersonville with visitors like you to enjoy all the comforts and warmth of our sweet cabin. Beautiful log cabin very private with abundant hardwood tree and mountain laurel with views out every window of surrounding mountains, kitchen has granite counter tops and new stainless steel appliances, the whole cabin has new furniture with some custom pieces, floor to ceiling wood burning real rock fireplace, ash hardwood flooring on main level, has a large master bedroom with king size bed, the master bath has imported stone flooring, marble counter top on vanity with large stone tile shower and 6' free standing cast iron tub. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs also large upstairs loft area with sectional sofa and a 52 inch flat screen TV all TVs are hooked up to Dish Network, upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with upstairs bathroom which has a tub shower combo with stone tile flooring and granite counter top on vanity, the downstairs living room has a pull out sofa. This cabin lets you also bring the living outside with a large front porch and side deck just off of this deck is a large custom fire pit, picnic area with park like grill (charcoal) and covered hot tub area. If you want to stay at a one of a kind custom log home with craftsman detail throughout this is the cabin for you. The cabin is private but not secluded with easy access close to all western NC has to offer. Private outdoor living as well 5 person hot tub and fire pit. Both bedrooms have king size beds with custom bunk beds in loft area too. The large fireplace is real wood burning, we do provide firewood for our guest. Fully stocked kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops throughout. Master bath has a cast iron soaker tub as well as a walk in shower with travertine tile on floor and shower walls. Second bath has a tub/shower combo with travertine floors and granite counter top. Both bedroom's have a 40" TVs, loft has a 55"TV and downstairs living has a 40"TV. The cabin does have WIFi. This is a Nonsmoking and non-pet property.

Inside the home was small but perfect for 3 adults and two medium sized dogs. We rented the property for dog convenience, fenced deck and yard, and they did not disappoint. My one dog is 14, and her legs dont work as well as they used to, so the ramp into the yard worked perfectly. The property is also situated right between Hendersonville and Lake Lure offering endless options for actvities. If you want rest and relaxation with the option to hike, apple pick, visit wineries and meaderies, this is your place to stay."

Property Location: Our cabin property is East of historic Hendersonville and Southeast of Asheville amidst apple orchards and local wineries and vineyards. The 20-acre property is located at the foot of Bearwallow Mountain. The property is partially wooded with a private hiking trail through the woods, a pond, and a picnic shed next to the pond with a fire pit. Fishing is available in our pond.

Located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, our 20-acre property is beautiful in all seasons: spring flowering trees, summer foliage, fall colors, and in the winter the possibly of snow. Winter, when the leaves are off the trees, can be especially interesting due to the additional views that appear through the bare trees.

SPRING: Spring days are warmer (60-76) while nights remain chilly (36-53). Spring is great for hiking followed by a dip in the hot tub in the evening. Spring sometimes has a cold spell that drops temperatures near freezing for a night or two. We keep the fireplace pilot lit until the night time temperature consistently remains above 60 degrees, at which point the fireplace is turned off for the summer.

SUMMER: In summer months average temperatures are in the low to mid 80s with nights cooling down into the 60s. Perfect for an evening soak in the hot tub! Frequently summer days feature a brief cooling thunderstorm in the late afternoon.

FALL: In the Fall temperatures drop from highs averaging 78 in September to 59 in November. Lows average 57 in September and drop to 36 in November. It’s fireplace time!

WINTER: Weather is brisk to chilly in the winter, occasionally dipping below freezing, but snow is fairly rare. The cozy gas log fireplace and the hot tub on the covered porch will keep you warm! Highs hover around 50 with highly variable lows averaging a bit below freezing.

Cabin Location: The Cabin in the Woods at Clear Creek Cabins is one of four cabins, situated and landscaped for privacy, scattered about our 20 acre property. It is one of our more secluded cabins, being located on the wooded portion of our 20 acre property. There are woods on all sides.. You may glimpse a small part of another cabin, but there are no other buildings within sight. In the winter when the leaves are off the trees, you can see the local mountains through the bare trees. There are woods behind the Cabin in the Woods for miles (not all ours!).

Cabin Features: The covered porch features rocking chairs, a hot tub, and an outdoor dining table. The cabin has a gas log fireplace, air conditioning, smart TV with DVD player, wifi, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Linens, dishes, and kitchen utensils are provided. The cabin has an outside propane BBQ grill. The cabin is well prepared for the rare power outage, with a gas log fireplace for heat and a gas stove for cooking. There is a fire pit near the pond. The hiking trail starts from (or ends at) the road to the Cabin in the Woods before you get to the Cabin. (Look for the sign.) It goes up in the woods and comes out next to the Cabin on the Hill where you can walk the roads back to your cabin.

Area Activities: While many guests simply relax on the property for their entire stay, there is much to do in the area – hiking Chimney Rock Park, a boat tour of Lake Lure, a visit to Historic Hendersonville, dining at the many great area restaurants just a short drive away, visiting the many surrounding state and national parks and forests (Dupont, Pisgah, the Blue Ridge Parkway), and of course visiting the famous Biltmore Estate. Horseback riding is available in the area, as are visits to numerous wineries, and breweries, plus a cidery and meadery, many of which have live music and food trucks. Hiking locations are abundant. Spring and fall driving tours of our apple growing country side are available with many fruit stands to select from.

Seasons: The property is beautiful in all seasons: spring flowering trees, summer foliage, fall colors, and in the winter the possibly of snow. Winter, when the leaves are off the trees, can be especially interesting due to the additional views that appear through the bare trees.

It was clean and well-appointed. A beautiful property surrounded by woods. We heard an occasional plane overhead or car on the distant road but, we primarily listened to the wind in the trees and the birdsong. The cabin was clean. The grill and kitchen appropriately appointed. AC and Hot tub easy to use. We hiked a bit on the property and visited the beautiful pond. Exactly as described. Easy communication with the host. Highly recommend this location if you want a quiet time away. Very close to Hendersonville and Asheville (closer than it seemed on the map) if you want to go into town."

The Cabin on the Hill at Clear Creek Cabins is one of four cabins, situated and landscaped for privacy, scattered about our 20 acre partially wooded property. The Cabin on the Hill has our best view (see photos). It is just inside the edge of the wooded portion of our 20 acre property. This allows for both a view from the covered porch and privacy afforded by the trees. There are woods behind the Cabin on the Hill for miles (not all ours!).

Cabin Features: The covered porch features rocking chairs, a hot tub, and an outdoor dining table. The cabin has a gas log fireplace, air conditioning, smart TV with DVD player, wifi, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Linens, dishes, and kitchen utensils are provided. The cabin has an outside electric BBQ grill. The cabin is well prepared for the rare power outage, with a gas log fireplace for heat and a gas stove for cooking. There is a fire pit near the pond.
