This is a spacious one level log cabin with three bedrooms, two baths and great indoor and outdoor space. The highlight of our cabin is the gorgeous all season views from the great room and both bedrooms!
Dancing Goat log cabin is a perfect spot for a family vacation or even two families as the master with ensuite bathroom is on one side of the living area and the other two bedrooms are situated on the other side with a separate bathroom. Bathrooms have Jacuzzi brand deep soaking tubs to relax at the end of the day. Great for girlfriend getaways too!
The beds are comfortable with hypoallergenic mattresses covers. All bed linens and bath towels are high quality cotton. We have beautiful cotton quilts for warmer months and comforters with cotton duvet covers from Pottery Barn for cooler months. One of our favorite features is the spacious kitchen where you will find everything you need for preparing a family meal. There is a Jenn-Air gas grill on the deck with piped gas. No hassle of changing cylinders midway through grilling.
The cabin sits on an acre of flat land with trees. It provides complete privacy yet easy access and close to all the attractions. It is less than a mile from the Mast General Store, Dutch creek ice cream and next to the Jerky outpost. There are several outdoor areas to enjoy - a pergola and patio with a swing set with mountain views and a fire pit for those starry night gatherings. The cabin has a rural country charm along with modern amenities like dual band wi-fi through high speed fiber connection, Samsung 4K ultra HD smart TV with Roku, YouTube TV and Amazon movies and charging station for all your devices.
There are horses grazing in the pasture across the street. There is a small farm to the side of the cabin where we watched the playful goats and sheep that inspired us to name the cabin. (Goats are gone now!). The cabin setting evokes feeling of nostalgia and escape to a classic American getaway. Banister rail on upstairs main entrance is about to fall off & not secure (definitely a safety hazard). Clearly not the property we were promised. Home description shows 2 queen beds that are actually full size beds. We booked this home for 8 people for 2 nights. We were only given 1 washcloth, hand towel, and towel per person for the entire stay. They only had 1 trash bag in the entire house & then you have to haul off your trash when you leave. Upon check-in, property manager stated they only hand out keys & clean homes (obviously not being done but their going to charge you $85 for). Contacted Hotels.com for resolution. Definitely RENTER BEWARE when booking this property! I booked this home because it had an exceptional 10 review. Once we saw the condition of the home, my sister saw there was another bad review that was being hidden. I have photos."

Underground Power lines: Bearfoot Hideaway is located in a community with underground power lines! The benefit if which is that the cabin does not have power outages when the weather is inclement, as other homes in the area experience frequently. During the blizzard of '09 when 88% of Watauga county was powerless, (some for more than 4 days), Bearfoot Hideaway did not experience even one split second of power loss.
Security: We are in a private gated community. Our property access is protected outside via motion sensor lights that will light the stairs for your arrival, smart doorbell and security monitoring for your safety.

The cabin is arranged very nice with bedrooms that were very accommodating, adults on main floor, teen in lower level and youngster upstairs. Grandfather Sights is a great vacation cabin with 3 levels of comfortable living space, an open floor plan, and a central location close to the major High Country attractions. Located just off Hwy 105 between Boone and Banner Elk, this home is close to hiking, zip-lining, fishing, rafting, snow tubing, skiing, and more. The home features delightful long-range views including straight-on views of the famous Grandfather Mountain.

The main living area has a stone fireplace with gas logs and a flat-screen TV and is open to the kitchen and dining areas. The home has wraparound decks, partly covered on the view side of the home, complete with rocking chairs and a propane grill. Upstairs, there is a spacious loft with comfortable seating. The lower level of the home has a game area with an air hockey table, a foosball table, and a flat-screen TV. This home has plenty of room for your group to enjoy being together in the mountains. Each bedroom, except for the bunk bedroom, now has a TV installed, a total of 5 in the home.

Upstairs is a spacious loft with inviting comfortable furniture including a sleeper sofa and a combination bumper pool & poker table- simply remove the poker top to reveal the bumper pool underneath. There is also a desk with a TV & Sony PlayStation2 set up, so bring your own games and movies to enjoy or enjoy some of the games and movies on hand at the cabin. This level has another master suite, with a Queen bed and TV, and a private full bathroom.

The back deck is completely private and overlooks the mountains. The view is lovely in all seasons, so just kick back and relax on the Adirondack gliders. On the covered front porch, relax and enjoy the hot tub. And all new for 2020, kick back and make memories around the outside firepit behind the cabin!

No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.

The boys shared a room with double bunk beds. They also had a bathroom. Lots of room. Could have slept 2-4 more children comfortably. Lots of space. Parking more than 2 vehicles is an issue if you have multiple families meeting there. There is really only room for 2 vehicles to park, which is fine if everyone is arriving together."

Our log cabin features 4 gorgeous bedrooms, each with a king bed, and 3 nice bathrooms with showers and over 3200 Sq ft. We also have a Pool table, Air Hockey table, board games and Dart board in our basement to keep you busy and having fun while at the cabin. Outside we added a brand new seating area , picnic table and gas fire table. We also have a direct piped BBQ so you will never run out of gas while grilling since it is connected to the cabin's gas. The bbq also has a section that can be used with charcoal and even has a smoker! We think our place will help you experience everything Todd and the High Country has to offer. We ask that all hot tub rules are followed to ensure the hot tub stays up and running year-round, $150 fee if rules are not followed and the hot tub needs draining or additional maintenance. The cabin is a cozy space with 1 room for sleeping and a private bathroom.

There are multiple buildings on the property including our home, another rental space, and a barn.

Our 3 spaces at Soul Fire Camp and Cabins can sleep up to 8-10 guests, so this may be the perfect space for your friends trip, retreat, or family reunion!

Guests are welcome to enjoy the community areas including the fire pit (weather permitting) and wooded areas for walking and hanging hammocks.

The cabin is your private space. You are free to roam around the property and use our community fire wood in the fire pit.

Other things to note
The walk to your cabin includes about 30 steps "through the woods" where the path is slightly rocky and natural. Very short, and similar to an easy wooded trail.

Overall the walk from the parking area to the cabin is about 200 feet.

Enjoy the private lower level apartment that has separate walkway and private entrance to a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with wash/dryer, space for kitchen prep and cooking (note there is a hot plate and toaster oven, not a built in range/oven as part of this set up and no dishwasher).

The apartment is below our private (not for rent) cabin and you have access to the yard/wooded area around the cabin and a dedicated fire pit area with Adirondack chairs that is just for the lower level apartment.

There is oarking for 1 car at the top of the walkway (stairs for access) and if needed a further parking area.

The one bedroom has a queen and a small work table for remote work if needed. The apartment is 600 sq feet and most comfortable for 2 people but with couches that pull out to twin beds it also can fit 4 people or a small family.

We allow one dog as pet assuming it is well trained and leashed. This is a nice quiet area with mostly all locals and so no loud parties or events or major disruptions to the neighbors are permitted.

The cabin is just a 5 minutes walk from Speckled Trout, Camp Coffee and all the wonderful shops and activities Blowing Rock has to offer. You can also walk to via the sidewalks now in place to Bass Lake from here.

This home, due to town restrictions is only available for monthly or longer rentals. Access to the cabin living spaces above the apartment is not included in the rental and not permitted.

From the moment you arrive, Petite Retreat greets you with a wine bottle tree that glistens in the sunlight and solar lights at night. Climb the steps to the tiny house and you’ll find a covered porch with two chairs complete with side tables for the morning cup of coffee or enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset.

Inside, you will find a spacious living area. There’s a comfy leather loveseat with recliners for two. A flatscreen TV that swivels so you can catch the game or curl up in the queen size bed and watch a good movie.

The kitchen area offers an induction cooktop, microwave, a mini fridge/freezer, and Keurig for the coffee lovers. There is plenty of cabinet space as well. Don’t want to cook inside? Then head outside to the full-size gas grill.

Welcome to River Round House! We're thrilled to introduce our new cabin starting December 2024. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your stay:

General Info:
     •    Age Requirement: Must be 25 years or older. Name on reservation must match the credit card. Identity verification required. The booking party must be present at check-in.
     •    Free Activities: Enjoy one free ticket to top activities in the area every day of your stay.

About River Round House:
     --Location: Nestled conveniently approximately 10-12 minutes east of Boone in a residential neighborhood close to the South Fork of the New River. 
     --Capacity: Sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. Bed and Bath linens are provided. 

Features:
     •    Bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with queen size beds on lower level (entry level)

           o    One bedroom has a Roku TV
           o    The bathroom is a Jack & Jill bathroom with access to each bedroom.
           o    The washer/dryer is located in the 2nd bedroom on lower level
           o    There is also a full bathroom on the main level with a step in shower.

Main level: Living Room has 2 couches that manually reclines on each end and a powered recliner, 65" Roku TV, electric fireplace, and access to the main deck. The 2nd full bathroom, kitchen and dining are on the main level. 
     Amenities:
          o    Ductless Mini-Splits in each bedroom and main floor. Mini-Splits are high energy efficiency units with flexible zoning options to cool or heat specific rooms individually and has quiet operation. Each bedroom can have different heat or AC temps to customize to your comfort level.
          o    Pet-friendly (maximum of 2 well-behaved, crate-trained dogs; sorry, no cats).
          o    High-Speed WiFi
          o    2 TVs with Roku
          o    Fully stocked kitchen: Regular Coffee Maker, Crock Pot, blender, hand mixer (NO Dishwasher)
          o    Washer and Dryer located on lower level in a closet

     •    Dining: Table for 4.

Pet Policy:
     •    $100 non-refundable pet fee per pet-2 dog maximum. Must be well behaved, leash/crate trained, 2+ years old and weighing less than 45 pounds.
     •    Pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in the trash. The fee does not cover excessive pet hair or damages.

     •    Kitchen Supplies: Well-stocked with utensils, cookware, dinnerware, regular coffee maker, and a starter set--2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, dishwashing liquid, liquid hand soap at all sinks, and black makeup wash cloths. Additional supplies may be needed. Sorry for the inconvenience but there is no dishwasher at our cabin.

Cancellation Policy:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel 45 days prior to arrival is subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. The cancellation fee for stays over 28 nights will be 20% of the rental rate. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.

Fast becoming one of our most popular cabins! Same question always asked is "What is upstairs?" The owners have blocked off the upstairs bedrooms, preferring to keep the party size at the cabin smaller than the cabin's footprint. And the answer is a hard "No, there will never be anyone upstairs while you rent this cabin!" Everything you need is on the main floor.

AMENITIES: Private New River access, firepit by the river, gas fireplace, covered porches, picnic table, smart TV, gas fireplace, Window AC unit in bedroom ONLY, portable cooling units (they do help), baseboard heating, and washer/dryer.

MAIN LEVEL:

King (Bedroom 1), full bathroom (shower/tub combo), washer and dryer in utility closet.

Cabinlot is a three story cabin, nestled in the woods, located 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson, 35 minutes to Boone and 45 minutes to Blowing Rock. Our cabin has access to Ashe Lake, a private lake for owners and guests, and you’ll have access to our private dock on the lake for fishing, swimming or using your own canoe/kayak/inner tube (no motorized boats allowed).  

Our home is pet friendly for your 4 legged family member (dogs only weighing less than 50 pounds). There is a one time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet (maximum of 2 dogs) plus tax and your pet will have to be approved by management. All dogs must remain on a leash while outside. 

Our cabin offers 4 bedrooms (maximum of 10 guests), 3 bathrooms, lower level game room with a pool table, card table and a lot of board games. You and your family will enjoy spending quality family time at our cabin. There is parking for 4 vehicles and the access is graveled, but not steep. 

Main Floor: You will find our modern kitchen with fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, regular coffee maker AND a Keurig machine, toaster, crock pot, and most everything else needed to prepare a great meal. The dining area will seat 6 comfortably and there is additional seating at the kitchen island for 2 more guests.

The living room boasts a beautiful gas fireplace (seasonal), Roku TV, and plenty of seating.

There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the main floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed and a Roku TV and the other bedroom across the hall has 2 twin beds and a TV with a Roku device for streaming apps. The full bathroom access is in the hallway near these 2 bedrooms.

Upper Floor: You will find the 3rd bedroom (Master Bedroom) with a queen bed and an En Suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is a LG Thinc with Smart Remotes TVs to watch Netflix, Disney+ and other streaming apps (must use your own login for these apps). 

The loft offers a work station with a desk and chair for those times you have to “work from home”. We do have high speed WIFI internet as well.  

Lower Level: The 4th bedroom is on the lower level with 2 sets of bunk beds and 1 twin size bed (sleeps 5 guests). The third full bathroom with tub/shower combo along with the family/game room is on the lower level. 

The game room offers a full size pool table, card table, many board games and additional seating. There is also a LG Thinc with Smart Remotes TV with streaming apps. This is a great way to spend quality time with each other creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Outside: There is a charcoal grill on the deck, additional seating and seasonal views of Ashe Lake. Enjoy making S’mores, roasting wieners or telling your favorite story around the fire at our fire pit. Ashe Lake is just across the neighborhood road. We have a path from the cabin down to the lake. The access to the lake is easily accessible with a very short walk from the cabin. Fishing license is NOT required to fish in our private lake. 

Important Information: “Cabinlot” is located in a private community and guests are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying our outdoor areas. There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10:00 PM.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
