Beautiful Cabin House. Decorated with outdoors theme in mind. Located just off the New River Trail and only 12 minutes to Galax or Fries Va. We are exactly 20 min off I-77 exit. All beds come with sheets and bedding. All towels and wash clothes are included as well. We have washer and dryer fir you convenience also. It sleeps 8 people in beds and has 3 recliners and a couch if you would like to sleep even more guests. One king, 1 queen, and 4 twin bunk beds. Upstairs has bathrooms that connects living erea and bedroom and the downstairs has bathroom that connects living erea and bedroom. Nice deck off main floor and a big patio deck off the bottom level. Very private and georgous views out the back picture windows. Lots if wildlife and feel free to hike and explore the woods and property. Just make yourself at home and enjoy. Charming log cabin with stunning views of the New River & a relaxing fire pit next to the river. Pictures do not capture how peaceful and beautiful it is. Walk/bike the New River Trail right across the bridge (1⁄2 mile away). Rent a bike, canoe, kayak or tube from New River Outdoor Adventures right across the bridge. The charming town of Fries is a 2 mile drive & accessible via the New River Trail. A trip down the New River from the Fries New River Park to the cabin is a 2 hour float.

The space
The rooms on the entry level of the cabin include;
- A living room with a leather sofa and sofa chair, coffee table, 42" TV connected to Dish Network satellite; Wi-Fi is provided through US Cellular.
- A kitchen with a smooth surface electric range, over-the-range microwave oven, french door/bottom freezer refrigerator, dishwasher and drip coffee maker (ground coffee, creamers, sugar/sweeteners, disposable coffee cups, lids, stirrers are provided).
- The kitchen is also equipped with heavy bottom cookware, baking pans, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, drinking & wine glasses, flatware, and white porcelain china dinnerware (8 place setting including dinner and salad plates, bowls, cups/saucers, cream/sugar and 2 china serving dishes).
- A bedroom overlooking the river with a queen bed, large walk-in closet, dresser and an armoire. Bed linens are provided, with extra pillows and blankets in the armoire.

A concrete patio runs along the length of the lower level, river side of the cabin with patio furniture and a charcoal grill and smoker. Wide steps with a gentle slope leads from the cabin down to the river and the fire pit. The fire pit is circled by 6 Adirondack chairs and 4 side tables. Fire wood, kindling, and lighter provided.

The small town of Fries is 2 mile drive and can also be access via the New River Trail. Start your New River journey from the Fries New River Picnic Area access and spend about 2 hours floating down the river.

The Cabin is 10 minutes from the town of Galax and Creek Bottom Brewery, 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and 18 minutes to I-77.

The space
Cabin house is an open space layout. Everything provided in kitchen including plates, silverware, coffee maker, glasses, linens and bedding etc. .. Relax and watch the water on the front porch or sit by the water and watch the fish swim by. The New River Trail junction at Gambetta is 1000 yards away. Very Intimate and private. Fishing is also available but by request and must be scheduled for safety issues. There is a small fee of $100 for fishing as well. Many trails for hicking and exploring on our farm. Our favorite place to slow down and enjoy the beautiful place we live. Quiet, peaceful, and simple. Hang out on the porch and just listen to Chestnut Creek or go down to the water to play or fish. Walk or bike to the adjacent park to play at the playground or cross the bridge to access the New River Trail (part of the New River Trail State Park). It's the perfect place to just rest or to get out and enjoy southwest Virginia.

Open floor plan with a bar between the kitchen and the living room. King sized bed with chest of drawers in the bedroom. Easy access to the New River Trial, which has 50 miles of hiking or biking along Chestnut Creek and the New River. Two adult bikes available for your use. The creek frontage is a great fishing spot, and it's fun to tube or wade in the creek.

Our rustic cabin is a 100+ year old restored cabin. It features an open floor plan with a cathedral wooden ceiling. Enjoy the comfy new mattress on the queen size bed. There's also a queen size sleeper sofa. The TV has Dish Network programming.

Outside, relax by swinging on the porch or, enjoy some time around the firepit and watch the sun set!

Inside, the cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen for those who love to cook, two full bathrooms with jetted jacuzzi tubs, and comfortable sleeping arrangements, including a king bed, a queen bed, and a high-quality air mattress. All necessities, from bed linens to body soaps, are provided for your utmost comfort. On the porch, we have 2 grills - one charcoal and one gas (Guest supplies their own charcoal and Coleman camping gas can).

**The common area is shared with other community owners. If there are other owners there, they do get first preference. However, we let our guest know when they are going to be there if they let us know. They use the common area very little.

Guests will have full access to their cabin and much of the property. The property includes availability to hiking trails, a campfire site with grill only if lot owners are not utilizing it, and 2 kayaks for floating/fishing the New River.
Guest are welcome to bring side by sides but must sign a waiver.

Other things to note
Please read the directions to the cabin, made available after you book. GPS can be unreliable. Simply ask if you need any assistance. The road to the cabin is a gravel road. This is a rural property, weather may affect road conditions. AWD or 4WD recommend during lots of rain or snow.

Once on New River Haven property feel free to explore the many roads that lead to beautiful lookouts and views. There are a few paths that are explicitly for walking, carts, four-wheelers, or side-by-sides only. These trails will either be labeled, not fully graveled, or simply to steep for vehicles. Also, many of these lots are available for sale! Please contact us if you are interested!

Cell service can be hard to find depending on your carrier.

We have a fully stocked kitchen with a regular drip coffee maker.

If you choose to use our kayaks, you must have a life jacket, (2 provided) with you on the water. It is required by state law. You kayak at your own risk. We also ask that you respect our property/cabin and leave things how you found them. Other owners are allowed to share common area. The cabin sits on a hill, out of the flood plain, but view of shoals is tremendous.

We are in a rural mountain setting and an occasional power outage does occur. We do have a box of emergency supplies in the crawl space of the cabin. We do not give refunds for power outages or wifi outage.

We recommend that all guest purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel within 30 days of the stay. We do not alter reservations within 2 weeks of the reservation.

Serenity is the word that describes this cabin! Located a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This cabin is very new and has a beautiful view from the upper deck and lower porch and is very quiet. Come sit on the porch and relax and perhaps enjoy some wildlife. We have added a fire pit with swings to make it even more relaxing. We pride ourselves in being clean / well-maintained
We also have a generator if the power would go out while you are visiting.

Fiddlers Cabin is 12 minutes from main st. Tucked away just outside of Galax Va. Pets welcome!! Sits off the New River Trail State Park. Bike, Hike, & Fish the stocked trout stream that winds along the trail to the New River. Minutes to Galax, Fries, Hillsville, & Fancy Gap Va. 30 acres of beautiful scenery on the farm. Guests are welcome to explore! House sleeps 8, King bed main floor, Queen bed downstairs, & 4 comfortable beds in bunk room. Living room & Bathrooms both floors! Could sleep 10

The space
Inside the cabin is all of the modern amenities for your enjoyment. The main floor has beautiful natural wood trim and it's decorated with lots of outdoors feel. We keep refrigerator stocked with drinks and snacks for all our guest to enjoy. You just have to make yourself at home. There is washer and dryer for any if hour laundry needs. Enjoy the big patio that sits off the back of the cabin on the lower level and relax in the recliner chairs. We have big TVs in the living room upstairs and downstairs as well. Both master bedrooms have big TVs as well. Sleeps 8 in beds but could sleep 10 guests if couches are used! king bed on main floor. Queen bed downstairs and 4 very comfortable bunk beds in the bunk room. Main floor couch has 2 recliners as well. Downstairs couch is a flat sectional and can be used as a bed. Plenty of room for parking as well.

Guest access
The house comes with access to the farm and horse feeding as well. Guests are welcome to explore tge woods on the farm and hike on any of our trails. Bring carrots 🥕 to feed horses.

If you are planning on bringing little loved pets then please bring a couple of extra blankets to cover the black couches so hair don't get all over them. Thanks
