Blinds were taped up, toilet paper holder downstairs bathroom was broken & lights didn't work, upstairs bathroom toilet seat was broken (with new seat ready for you to install), coffee pot was broken & dumped on my leg. Banister rail on upstairs main entrance is about to fall off & not secure (definitely a safety hazard). Clearly not the property we were promised. Home description shows 2 queen beds that are actually full size beds. We booked this home for 8 people for 2 nights. We were only given 1 washcloth, hand towel, and towel per person for the entire stay. They only had 1 trash bag in the entire house & then you have to haul off your trash when you leave. Upon check-in, property manager stated they only hand out keys & clean homes (obviously not being done but their going to charge you $85 for). Contacted Hotels.com for resolution. Definitely RENTER BEWARE when booking this property! I booked this home because it had an exceptional 10 review. Once we saw the condition of the home, my sister saw there was another bad review that was being hidden. I have photos."

- "If looking for a perfect place for family traveling with dogs this is it! The location is great, close to fun spots in the Valley, but quiet. The cabin is arranged very nice with bedrooms that were very accommodating, adults on main floor, teen in lower level and youngster upstairs. The cabin was well stocked, everything was clean and comfortable. The porches were awesome for morning coffee, and so nice for our dog to have a wonderful yard to explore and chill out too. Even the neighbors are great and helped us one day when our car battery died. I hope we can visit again."

There is also a desk with a TV & Sony PlayStation2 set up, so bring your own games and movies to enjoy or enjoy some of the games and movies on hand at the cabin. This level has another master suite, with a Queen bed and TV, and a private full bathroom.

Well behaved dogs welcome! We have a large fenced in area just for your pooch. We require you sign a pet agreement and waiver after you book. You must disclose and get permission that you’re bringing your dog/dogs. You can bring up to two dogs, or ask permission under certain circumstances if you have a third dog. Don’t bring your dog without permission first, otherwise, you will be asked to leave without a refund. Sorry no CATS or other types of pets allowed on the premises.

Around the pond are cozy Adirondack chairs some log tables for your favorite beverage and a secured fire pit area - we’ll supply the firewood. THE MAIN LEVEL of the house: is an open floor plan that has heat and Air conditioning plus ceiling fans throughout. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need just like home so you don’t have to bring anything. It includes all the major appliances you’d expect in a kitchen, plus a large toaster oven, automatic drip coffee maker, microwave oven, ice machine and much more - to much to list. Even the tap water is refreshing coming straight from the ancient mountains. We also offer a big load washer and dryer on the main level for your convenience and pantry to store your jars and canned goods.

THE LIVING ROOM: has a wood-burning enclosed fireplace, high definition TV and very comfortable real leather sofa and oversized chair and accessory tables and of course wi-Fi.

The DINING ROOM: welcomes you with an oversized dining room table including six chairs, perfect for serving large families. In addition there’s even more seating on real cowhide barstools at the kitchen counter. We also added additional snack tables in case you need more dining space. You access the large deck out the living room and also the bedrooms.

THE MAIN LEVEL BEDROOMS: Two master bedroom suites & bathrooms are on the main level with gigantic showers and big closets with plenty of storage space, plus hangers. The first Master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed, the second Master suite has two queen sized beds. Each bedroom has plenty of dressers and drawer space plus night tables. Each Master Bedroom has their own full size sliding glass doors that leads to the deck. If you open the window at night the babbling brook sound and pond will put you fast asleep.

THE LOWER LEVEL: Includes another bedroom with a Queen and a Twin size bed, in addition you can additionally fit two small children on the very comfortable floor mats if needed for extra sleeping arrangements. It was a comfortable layout for the six of us (4 adults and 2 boys) and our 2 service dogs. Backyard is fenced in which was nice to let the dogs out. We went up for my grandsons birthday to snowboard and ski Beech Mountain. The drive from the house to Beech Ski resort was a little longer ride than expected but that’s because of all the winding mountain roads and where the house is located. Looked like it would be fun in the summer to sit by the pond and walk the property and trails on it. Owners were very nice."

Our 4 bedroom/ 3 bathroom home sits on the banks of the Watauga River. It has been completely renovated inside and outside with high-end finishes, featuring vaulted ceilings in the living area, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, Brazilian Koa hardwood floors, and gas fireplace. Downstairs bedrooms include a Queen bed with adjacent bathroom, kids room with a bunk bed and trundle bed, with two bedrooms upstairs, one a king and one a queen.

All 3 bathrooms feature custom tiled showers, granite or marble vanities and premium fixtures. There are 2 bathrooms downstairs and one large bathroom upstairs with a full size washer and dryer.

An expansive covered deck was added to the back of the home along the river, with a large 8 person hot tub, a commercial grade hanging outdoor heater for year round outdoor living, a live edge bar overlooking the river, and wireless speakers. A new fire pit was built along the river with Adirondack chairs. You can wake up to the sound of the river and enjoy it rain or shine.

A full 18' deep and partially covered, the all-wood deck's year-round mountain views await you. There is a café table with 4 chairs, a small table for two, Adirondack chairs, a porch swing, a firepit, and a gas grill.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'll need to prepare anything from a quick snack to a full meal, including newer appliances – with a spacious side-by-side refrigerator. Morning coffee is a snap with a Keurig coffeemaker. Prefer brewing a pot instead? The Cuisinart is ready. The whole group can fit at the spacious solid wood dining table with a live edge wood bench on one side and a bay window overlooking the mountains behind it.

When ready to retreat, the master suite on the main level overlooks the mountainside and is well-appointed with a King bed, TV, and a private sliding door to the deck with the porch swing – the perfect place to sip your morning coffee while taking in the beautiful wooded mountain views, as if tucked away in your private tree house. Your private master bathroom features double vanities, an expansive full length mirror, separate shower, Jacuzzi soaking tub and private commode closet.

Step downstairs to a second living area with comfortable furnishings around another stone fireplace, TV, foosball and air hockey tables, and closeted full-size washer and dryer. Grab your towel by the door, which opens to the covered lower deck where the Hot Springs hot tub awaits. Also on this level are the second and third bedrooms, and a spacious full bathroom. One bedroom has a King size bed, TV, and ceiling fan while the other offers a mountain view while sleeping 3 with twin bunks and a third twin size bed.

Kids of all ages can count just how many bears can be found in the decorations while delighting in a restful retreat close to everything, at Little Bear Lodge.

Important Notes:
- This homeowner has installed exterior security cameras to ensure their home remains safe. No cameras are on the back deck, hot tub area, or interior of the home.
- The home has a max of two (2) parking space. Please do not bring more than 2 vehicles. -Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
-This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs (DOGS MUST BE 25 POUNDS OR LESS) with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted. Larger dogs are not permitted or and will not be considered. Any dogs over 25lb on the property will result in a $250 non-refundable fine.
-CANCELLATION POLICY: STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.

Other amenities to mention for those with an active lifestyle would be the beautiful Ascent Fitness Center. Enjoy a morning workout while overlooking those beautiful mountains. Take a Hike on the many-mile-long trails that are on the property. If you are feeling adventurous you can follow the trail to the “Blue Hole” where you can take a dip or swim to cool off from the hiking adventures or just for fun.
Enjoy dinner one evening at the private Lookout Grill with friends. If eating out isn’t your thing, not to worry as there is a beautiful pavilion at the Watson Gap community that is a short drive away where you can host a cookout have a picnic on the green, or enjoy the firepit while taking in the beautiful views. Please be advised this home is not located in downtown. Its located in the Blue Ridge Mountain Club. As the first renters of this property, there were a couple of minor challenges. The executive assistant to the property owners, as well as the POA, were immediately responsive, and the level of customer service we received was unmatched. The Wander Inn One backs up to the adorable Blowing Rock Antiques store and Famous Toastery, making it the perfect spot for a day of shopping and delicious brunch with friends. This home does have an additional unit in the back, and it's possible that it may be occupied by other guests during your stay. If you are interested, there is the option to book the additional unit in the back of the home!

This is a dream location on a dead end street to the Greenway trails. The house itself is bordered by a creek. Across the creek is a park to play frisbee or bocce ball etc. and has access to trails through the woods. You will have a private bedroom with queen bed. The full bathroom may be shared because I have one other bedroom on Arbnb. If it is not rented, it will be a private bathroom. I have a female very friendly dog Lilah.

The space
The bedroom has windows to the front and side yards. There are hardwood floors throughout the house and no stairs. A coffee maker and a hot water kettle for tea will be provided.

You may enter the front door of the house. Please park on the grass in front of the house parallel to the street.

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. Walk on the Greenway trails out your doorstep at the end of the the dead end street. Enjoy a stroll in the park behind the home. Appstate is 5 minutes away. Downtown is 5 minutes away. Lost Province Tasting room is a 2 minute walk.

You will have access to a private spacious bedroom with a bay window, large desk, queen bed, and futon sofa bed. The bedroom is inside of my home immediately accessible after entering the front door. The bedroom entrance is two french doors with curtains for privacy.

Other things to note
The access to this room are private French doors with a privacy curtain. The mechanism at the top was recently replaced but does stick some which makes it hard to open. To make it easier and quieter to open gently close the door to the first stopping point and avoid closing it to the last stopping point. The doors may be locked from the inside. Boone is extremely safe. Since hosting in 2017 there have not been any safety issues here.

Other things to note
In the winter, you can walk to Sugar Ski Resort, either just straight to the resort, or walk across the street to the shuttle parking lot and hop the bus for the short 200 yard ride to the slopes!

WINTER NOTE: this is a high elevation location, so 4WD, AWD and/or chains are highly recommended between 12/1 and 4/15.

For our warmer months, enjoy golf, tennis, pickleball, hiking, mountain biking and so much more, all within walking distance.

Carter’s Hill Cottage sits on two acres and is only three miles from the Twickenham House. Enjoy the sun coming over the mountain while you sip on a hot coffee while sitting on our fully covered front porch. The cottage is only minutes from the towns of Jefferson and West Jefferson with a view of Mt. Jefferson (4665 ft) in front of the cottage and Phoenix Mtn to the rear of the cottage. Although you are so close to all the fun, you are secluded with no neighbors in view.

The space
The property borders Ashe County Park and a short walk will give you access to the disc golf course, trout pond, skate park, baseball fields, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, playground, trails and more.

Other things to note
Ashe Memorial Hospital is only minutes away. There will be a house phone for 911 emergencies only.

Studio #2 is located in Plumtree Campground and Retreat and is part of the lodge on top of the property. The Studio shares a large, covered porch with rocking chairs with three other studios. Enjoy the remote and relaxing atmosphere on property that includes hiking/mountain biking trails, a pavilion with a grill and fire pit, a playground, a pond and a waterfall.

Plumtree Mountain Retreat Studio is located in the community of Plumtree, North Carolina in Avery County. At an elevation of 2,867 feet, Plumtree is in the Blue Ridge Mountains convenient to Newland (12.2 miles), Spruce Pine (12.7 miles), Banner Elk (18.39 miles), Little Switzerland (25.3 miles), Beech Mountain (22.1 miles), Sugar Mountain (25.6 miles), and Grandfather Mountain (18.3 miles). This area’s beautiful and magical scenery can be explored by driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking the Appalachian Trail, exploring Linville Falls, trekking Yellow Mountain, fishing on the Toe River and its tributaries, taking in the views from Grandfather Mountain, skiing/tubing the local ski resorts, and discovering the surrounding down town areas with unique shops and restaurants.

Other things to note:

There is parking around the side of the Lodge and walking up hill a short distance is required. Speed limit on property is 5 mph and be watchful for walkers, bikers and children. The porch and the pavilion are shared with other guests. Please be respectful of other studio and lodge guests. No loud music or parties in studio, on porch or pavilion. No smoking in studio (additional cleaning fee will be charged) or shared porch/pavilion. There are two exterior cameras, one on each side of the porch pointing at the parking areas. Cell service can be spotty or unavailable depending on your carrier.

The bathroom is smaller in size and comparable in size to RV bathrooms.

During winter weather a four-wheel drive vehicle may be needed to access the parking at the lodge, but the property can be accessed from a back entrance with parking at the bottom of the hill at the circle.

Pets:

If bringing a dog, the pet fee must be paid prior to check in information being sent. Please do not bring a dog without notification, we are on property and will charge the pet fee thru Airbnb. Limit of one dog and an additional dog may be allowed by pre-approval. Pet fee of $25 will apply (second dog will be additional $25) and will be paid prior to check in. Dogs must be nonaggressive, house trained, under voice/e-collar command and remain on a leash while on property. No pee pads are allowed in studios and waste must be picked up/disposed. Dogs must be supervised at all times and not left on property alone. Any disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, and guests will be asked to leave. Damage by dogs will be the responsibility of the owner. Pets other than dogs will need pre-approval prior to booking.

One of a kind 300 square foot micro condo with Modern Farmhouse decor and atmosphere, located at The Pinnacle Inn in the heart of Beech Mountain. LESS THAN A MILE FROM THE OVERLOOK BARN! The condo is fully equipped to make a short stay comfortable and affordable, and it is the perfect place for a couple or those traveling solo.

After adventuring around the area, you can finish your day in the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, or hot tub! **The All Season Center is closed 4/8/24-4/30/24.

The space
This condo is located at The Pinnacle Inn in the heart of Beech Mountain. It was totally renovated in a modern farmhouse style. It offers everything you need to feel at home, including a queen size bed, wood fireplace (wood not provided), microwave, coffee maker, blender, pots/pans, dishes, small electric range, small refrigerator, and a washer and dryer. The condo also has 2 wall heaters, one next to the bed and one next to the sofa, plus a portable heater located in the sitting area. Please note that there is no A/C in the condo as the daytime Summer temperatures are typically in the 70s and the evening/night temperatures are typically in the 50s and 60s. Included in your stay is unlimited Wi-Fi, cable TV + HBO channels. There is a small open porch to sit and relax or to keep your bicycles.

The minimum age to rent the Cozy Bird Nest is 23 for all guests. As a safety precaution, I do not rent my condo to guests without them being fully registered and verified by Airbnb, which includes a self-photo, email, phone, and government ID. I also require previous Airbnb stays and positive reviews.

The condo is for 2 guests maximum, no exceptions. There is a $250 fine for additional unauthorized guests. I do not rent to 3rd parties. The condo is not suitable for children.

Due to severe allergies, I cannot have pets or smoking in my condo, hallway or balcony. There is a $250 fine for bringing an unauthorized pet or for smoking in the condo.

Parties are not allowed. If guests have a party in the condo, an extra $65 cleaning fee will be charged.

Please know that I am doing my part to keep the condo safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, door knobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before each check-in.

There is a Ring security/video camera located on the front door and directed towards the exterior (common) hallway only.

When the All Season Center is open, guests will have full access to the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Pinnacle Inn also offers a pool table, ping pong, corn hole, work-out equipment, tennis courts, and miniature golf.

Relax in your High Country Hideaway nestled in the center of ski, hiking, and all season adventures. Only 12 minutes to Sugar Mountain and less than 30 from Beech Mountain. Only 15 mins from Boone and AppState, this condo community is your private, cozy, and central hideaway. Perfect for a relaxing get away, but close to restaurants, shops and activities if you want to enjoy all this area has to offer. Must verify with ID, be 24 years old and agree to house rules to book.

The space
This condo has everything at your fingertips and the location on the end of the building and condo development lends more privacy than one would expect in multiunit living. Linens provided are washed in free and clear detergent. There is space for a maximum of 4 to sleep. There is one queen bed and one futon.

The whole condo is accessible except for one tiny supply closet.

Other things to note
Please note that this rental is not handicapped accessible and not for small mobile children as there is a drop off about 25 feet from the porch and no child safety implements are installed, however the oven does have controls high and behind the burners. The stairway to the entrance is rustic, but we just installed a new wooden handrail. If you are looking for a central location to enjoy the high country in all seasons, this is a great place to stay.

Also be aware that there is parking for one vehicle and trailers are not allowed by the POA. There are marked "visitor" spaces available too. Please park in the loop at the top of the stairs under the tree.

Luxurious, comfortable queen bed, swing-out tv easily viewed from bed/sitting area. Bath straight out of Gunsmoke tv lore. Perfect for honeymoon, anniversary or a get-away from it all. Rental is entire first floor of 4-story home.

The space
This beautifully finished basement studio apartment is cozy and private with a separate entrance and driveway. It is perfect for two people looking for a romantic escape with all the essentials near Boone, West Jefferson and Todd. There is a queen bed, sitting area with large tv, small kitchen and bath. To ensure guest privacy, the remainder of the house is empty during guest stays.

To preserve the flora and fauna of this wooded retreat, we have decided not to spray toxic chemicals to kill bugs. Our excellent house cleaner checks the home the day before every guest arrives, but because the house is surrounded by woods, there may be the occasional bug inside. We politely ask you to take them outside.
