Welcome to the perfect mountain vacation getaway for two. We are located in the upscale gated community of The Divide at Bald Rock where serenity will surround you with breathtaking long-range mountain views. The residence is nestled at the edge of the woods sitting near the top of the mountain at 4200 ft elevation. Secluded, yet you are just minutes away from Cashiers, NC and a short scenic drive to Highlands, NC where shopping and dining experiences are plentiful.

The 800 SF guest house is above the main residence's detached garage and has a private/separate entry. *Please note that we are only renting this space when we are not on-site; therefore, ensuring privacy during your stay.

With open-beams, wood ceilings and floors, the space exudes mountain comfort and warmth. The residence was designed by my father, a retired architect, who always dreamed of having a mountain home. After two years of design preparation, the home was completed in 2015 and the quality guest house furnishings were finished in 2018.

This property is not only pet-friendly, it's PETS ENCOURAGED! This recently renovated treehouse is a 2 bed/2bath that boasts an additional Dog Suite, so your furry family members have a space all their own! There is an outdoor dog bath (including shampoo & towels) as well as a large fenced-in Dog Play Area. And NO PET FEES! (3 dogs max, unless approved in advance by owner).

For our human guests, the property is on a very private wooded lot and includes an outdoor fire pit, hammock, and outdoor deck. There is also a wood burning fireplace in the great room. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, king size bed, and Smart TV. The secondary bedroom has a queen size bed. There is an extra twin bed (upper bunk) in the Dog Suite if needed (the lower bunk is reserved for dogs only). There is also a small office space, should you need to check in with work while visiting the area. Unlike many other mountain locations, this treehouse offers a strong cell signal and wifi.

The property is easily accessible from Hwy 64, and is approximately 7 minutes from the Sapphire Valley Resort. Guests of the property are eligible to purchase an amenity card for the Sapphire Valley Resort. The people sleeping in the loft do have to use one of the two bathrooms inside another bedroom which might not be as convenient as having a bathroom in the hallway. I didn’t realize that was the layout from the description. No tv in main bedroom which I also didn’t realize. I’m a tv at bed (only) person so it’s my fault again for not checking on that ahead of time. There is a great tv in main room and a small one in second bedroom. Higher cleaning fee for a smaller home compared to other rentals. Older home, very clean. Manager very responsive and helpful. Also stocked with games and cards when unexpected rain comes in to town. We enjoyed stay. Nothing negative at all just feedback I wish I had realized prior to Booking."

- "Well outfitted and comfortable townhome on Fairfield Lake. Tracey is a great and responsive host, her place was very comfortable for us (myself husband and girls aged 20 and 13). Welcome to Nothi'n But Time your home away from home in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This beautifully updated 2-bedroom / 2-bathroom villa promises to be your new favorite mountain getaway. Sapphire is a hidden gem that’s just a short drive to Cashiers and Highlands. The first thing you will notice upon arrival is the covered sitting area on the front porch. It’s a thoughtful and comfortable spot to sit while taking shoes / boots on and off. Then when you walk in the front door you will see the first bedroom with an amazingly comfortable King-sized bed and full bathroom. Walk up just a few steps to the upper level with the fireside family room, spacious dining room (seating for 6), large deck with new Weber propane grill and the beautiful fully stocked kitchen. We completely renovated the kitchen in early 2024 with a farmhouse sink, an abundance of cabinets, tons of counter space and quartz tops. Heading down to the finished terrace level you will find the “Queen” room with 2 extra comfy Queen-sized beds, sitting area (my favorite spot to read), small desk area, 2nd huge deck and full bathroom with double vanities. Both bathrooms have brand new vanities and sinks. Enjoy the crisp fresh mountain air as you hike the many waterfalls in the area or stroll along the shops. Our villa has everything you would need for cooking in and relaxing. As my guest you may want to enjoy the beautiful Sapphire Valley Resort. The resort offers so many things for kids and adults, just to name a few-indoor / outdoor pool, fitness center, hot tub, snow skiing (winter), concerts on the slopes, private Lake Fairfield (paddle boating and swimming, arts and crafts, 9-hole executive golf course, the areas only public driving range, foot golf, outdoor tennis center with clay courts, pickleball and so much more! Also, the Ingles grocery store is about 10 minutes away and has a Starbucks inside, an extensive wine selection, a great selection of organic offerings, a very nice make your own salad bar and so much more. It’s really a nice store. We hope you enjoy the villa as much as we do! We also have High Speed Internet.

I provide pet waste baggies (located in the foyer in a small wicker basket). I also provide a small waste can outside on the front porch near the bench for you to put the doggie waste baggies.
* NEVER put doggie waste baggies in the big metal trash containers in the parking area. Before you check out, please put all used doggie baggies in a large kitchen trash bag and put them in the big metal trash bin in the parking area.

**Hot tub and pool are off site at the Sapphire Valley Community Resort which is just a very short drive (about 4 minutes) from the villa. My guests are welcome to use the resort facilities. Many of the resort amenities are FREE but there may be a small fee for some activities etc. I will inform the resort you are my guest. Please go their front desk for passes and a list of activities, amenities and fees.

The bedding was extremely comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The layout was a split where one bedroom was on one floor and the other below which gave privacy while at the same time still feeling connected. To say that our stay did not disappoint. We will definitely put this VRBO on our list to visit again. If you are looking for a mountain get-away for just a relaxing recharge weekend or lots of Resort activity like golf, swim, putt-putt, arcade, hiking, shopping, wineries and so much more then this is the place to visit and make memories."

All just a short drive from the home.
-Streaming services are available, but guests must log in using their accounts.

- "The unit is well laid-out and furnished. Roomy for a studio. The galley kitchen is big enough for two people cooking with dining space for four. The sofa/living area is large enough for several people with a 60"(?) TV. The king bed is very comfortable. The walk-in shower is spacious. New washer and dryer. All the furnishings and appliances appeared new. For a studio it is plenty big enough for a couple to live in comfortably and indefinitely. Easy access. The property manager followed up when I checked it. I loved the place."

- "Place is very well maintained and simple. Perfect for a getaway from crazy life" - "A charming hundred-year-old cabin in the heart of Sapphire. The cabin has been upgraded over the years and was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. Has the smell of old wood and is super cozy. Baseboard heating worked great, and single A/C window unit did the trick one afternoon when it got hotter outside. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee maker, Kurig, slow cooker, dishwasher, and full-size fridge. The location is so convenient to all the surrounding activities. Easy access to Cashiers and Brevard for groceries, brewpubs, restaurants, etc. Several local restaurants within five minutes of the cabin. Excellent hiking in Gorges State Park, Pisgah National Forest, Panthertown Valley north of Lake Toxaway. Waterfalls in every direction! About 1 1/4 hours drive to Asheville. The cabin is located on the main road between Brevard and Cashiers, so there's a little traffic at peak times. Cabin is set back pretty far from the road though, and we were able to enjoy the front porch with the dogs almost every afternoon. Overall a fabulous location and highly recommended! Look forward to returning sometime soon."

An outdoor deck circles the entire length of the apartment and many windows provide a beautiful view of the mountain. At the Wyndham Resort, just down the road is recreational fun for everyone with a pass.

The space
The newly remodeled spacious downstairs basement apartment has a large flat screen TV and comfortable living area, with comfy couch and lounge chair. The couch does not make out into a bed, however, the apartment has one luxury king bed and one queen bed. The eating area has a dining table with 6 chairs. The wet bar/kittenette has a microwave, sink, keurig coffee maker, stove, and mini refrigerator. There is also a large refrigerator just outside your door in the garage and you’re welcome to use it if needed. It is equipped with silverware, pans, dishes, paper towels, and dish soap. The dish soap is located in the dispenser on the sink. There are up to four outdoor chairs and a small table outside on the porch to enjoy if you like. Bring the chairs in if it looks like rain and you will have dry chairs to sit on. The apartment accommodates only four, so we limit you to a maximum of only five people.. Also, we prefer no children under 12 unless you talk to us first and get them approved. If you are staying for more than two nights we will be glad to supply extra towels. There is old towels to take with you for waterfalls and hiking that can get very wet and dirty and are located in the bottom left drawer on the left side of the King size bed. Please use the towels in the bathroom only in the apartment and the old towels in drawer for hiking and swimming. If you go to the Wyndham Resort and have a pass, they will give you towels there to use for swimming and workout.

If wanted, amenities at the Wyndham Resort are 5 miles away and are available to our guess for a weekly rate or a three day rate of 5 dollars. You can get your pass at the Wyndham resort by giving them our name and address. The resort pass includes miniature golf, 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, horse shoes, game room with ping pong, arcade, and pool table, as well as a work out room. Also, discounted golf and tennis. With the pass, guests also have access to the beautiful private mountain Lake Fairfield, with hiking trail, swimming, covered picnic tables, BBQ, water sports, a boat dock. It is available approximately 3 miles away down US64 on the right.

As noted in the listing, The resort amenity center is located off-site on the lake about 1.7 miles from the resort where you will be staying.
