You will enjoy this well appointed apartment which is a part of a larger house in which the owners reside. They will be close enough for all your needs but far enough away to respect your privacy. You will have your own private entrance and adjacent covered parking.

The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator and stove as well as granite counters. Both a regular and a Keurig coffee pot are provided. There is also a washer and dryer which is tastefully tucked away in a small closet. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with pillow topped mattress, two bed-side tables with tiffany style lamps and a large double dresser for your clothes. A mirrored door hides a large walk-in closet for additional storage. The living room is furnished comfortably with a couch and leather chair. The electric fireplace can be set with or without heat should you want the ambiance of a fire but do not need the heat. There is a 50 inch plasma TV on which you will have access to satellite television including Showtime and Home Box Office. There is a DVD player and Wi-fi should you bring your own computer.

The owners will secure guest privileges for you which will allow you to use all the resort’s many amenities including 3 swimming pools (2 outdoor, 1 indoor with hot tub and 2 saunas), miniature golf, game room, exercise room, 3 on-site restaurants, and reasonable rates at the golf course.

-The home has the option to buy Sapphire Valley amenities for $5 per day or $25 per week per person. This will give you access to two swimming pools, a hot tub, a sauna, a complete gym, tennis courts, a basketball court, pickleball, miniature golf, and paddle boating and swimming at Fairfield Lake. All just a short drive from the home.
-Streaming services are available, but guests must log in using their accounts.
-The gas grill is not available for guest use.

The sofa/living area is large enough for several people with a 60"(?) TV. The king bed is very comfortable. The walk-in shower is spacious. New washer and dryer. All the furnishings and appliances appeared new. For a studio it is plenty big enough for a couple to live in comfortably and indefinitely. Easy access. Close to all resort activities and restaurants." - "The location of this studio is very convenient to Cashiers and access to routes for hiking, golf, etc.The host was responsive to request for items while we were there.The studio was not well cleaned and did not have some basic items we have had in other rentals and vacation villas. (lids for skillets, large sauce pan, collander, enough sliverware etc.) The studio needs a good cleaning and updating the information provided in the onsight guest book and amenities provided in the studio. And make sure everything is in good working order (bathroom heater, fan light, bed sheets that fit...) Otherwise it was a convenient place to stay and we made it work, but the owner needs to attend to the studio and perhaps provide updates."

Fairway Forest Resort is located at the southernmost part of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains and close to the Sapphire Valley Ski Area. Resting in the southernmost part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Fairfield Sapphire Valley occupies 5,700 acres of natural beauty at an elevation of 3,100 feet. The resort has an outdoor pool, a park with picnic area, an 18-hole PGA golf course, a 9-hole golf course, and eight tennis courts. A health club with indoor pool and exercise equipment adds to the list of amenities. Hiking, fishing, and canoeing are other popular activities.

Your Wyndham Sapphire Valley vacation home has A/C, TV/VCR, phone, washer/dryer and a full or partial kitchen. Units are non- smoking. Pets are not allowed. The front desk closes at 6PM, so call in advance to schedule an arrival after 6PM. 1BR OCC: Max 4/Pri 4 have a king bed, a sleep sofa and a partial or full kitchen. 1BR units with a partial kitchen have 14 steps inside the units. 2BR OCC: Max 8/Pri 8 have 2 king beds, 2 sleep sofas and a full kitchen. Ski season is from late December through March and lifts slopes are open Friday through Monday. Early check-ins are not allowed.

During winter, nearby Sapphire Valley Ski area operates two runs and Frozen Falls Tube Park, weather permitting. The ski area is not operated by the resort.

This beautiful space is a large, 1600 sq foot downstairs basement apartment, with a private entrance through the shared garage. It is a quiet peaceful area and is conveniently located nearby unique shopping in Cashiers, as well as beautiful gorgeous hikes, waterfalls. and lakes. An outdoor deck circles the entire length of the apartment and many windows provide a beautiful view of the mountain. At the Wyndham Resort, just down the road is recreational fun for everyone with a pass.

The space
The newly remodeled spacious downstairs basement apartment has a large flat screen TV and comfortable living area, with comfy couch and lounge chair. The couch does not make out into a bed, however, the apartment has one luxury king bed and one queen bed. The eating area has a dining table with 6 chairs. The wet bar/kittenette has a microwave, sink, keurig coffee maker, stove, and mini refrigerator. There is also a large refrigerator just outside your door in the garage and you’re welcome to use it if needed. It is equipped with silverware, pans, dishes, paper towels, and dish soap. The dish soap is located in the dispenser on the sink. There are up to four outdoor chairs and a small table outside on the porch to enjoy if you like. Bring the chairs in if it looks like rain and you will have dry chairs to sit on. The apartment accommodates only four, so we limit you to a maximum of only five people.. Also, we prefer no children under 12 unless you talk to us first and get them approved. If you are staying for more than two nights we will be glad to supply extra towels. There is old towels to take with you for waterfalls and hiking that can get very wet and dirty and are located in the bottom left drawer on the left side of the King size bed. Please use the towels in the bathroom only in the apartment and the old towels in drawer for hiking and swimming. If you go to the Wyndham Resort and have a pass, they will give you towels there to use for swimming and workout.

Guest access
If wanted, amenities at the Wyndham Resort are 5 miles away and are available to our guess for a weekly rate or a three day rate of 5 dollars. You can get your pass at the Wyndham resort by giving them our name and address. The resort pass includes miniature golf, 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, horse shoes, game room with ping pong, arcade, and pool table, as well as a work out room. Also, discounted golf and tennis. With the pass, guests also have access to the beautiful private mountain Lake Fairfield, with hiking trail, swimming, covered picnic tables, BBQ, water sports, a boat dock. It is available approximately 3 miles away down US64 on the right.
