Welcome to Windcrest Loft! If you’re looking for a homey place to stay while visiting the mountains, this is it! Kids and pets are welcome too. Centrally located, within minutes to shops and restaurants in Dillsboro and Sylva, 10 mins to WCU and 20 to Franklin, Bryson City & Waynesville. Convenient Tuckasegee river access across the street and close to many hiking spots! When not touring the area, relax outdoors and enjoy the antics of our resident goats, donkeys, geese and chickens.

Instead of driving 45 minuets to the nearest axe throwing establishment and paying $24 per person per hour, you can just let some steam off in the back yard!

But most importantly, the property is also fully equipped with peace and tranquility!

It's a paved driveway all the way to the house which is 0.5 miles from the highway. The house is inside a gated community and in a quiet respected area.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 5 minuets from the house by taking a left when you hit the highway and then you can access one of the best sunset areas on a great day if you take a left, or if you take a right on the parkway, you can get to a mild hike and one of the best overlooks in this part of the country!

Within an hour or less drive, you can access multiple national forests, multiple water rafting adventures, zip lines, fishing, casinos, and hikes and waterfalls. Just over an hour you can reach many great drives such as The Tail of the Dragon or Dollywood or other attractions that reside in this region of the country which includes the tallest point on the east coast at Mt. Mitchell.

Many travel nurses recommend a place like this since it has peace and space and relaxation at your finger tips.

There are several hospitals and nursing homes immediately around or even many more options with short drives to other local hospitals for extra work if you wanted. The closest 3 facilities are just 15 minuets down the road and a few more just 20-25 minuets away. Plenty of options for those wanting a taste of the mountain life!

So far 1 nurse is staying here and there is 2 more rooms and still 1 free bathroom. Feel free to message any question about a possible stay!

This loft apartment is unique to our area. The entrance is on Main Street in downtown Sylva, ground floor, with a wall of windows overlooking Mill Street one story down (no access from Mill Street). The high ceilings and exposed brick give the space an urban feel. Wifi is available. There is a smart TV set up with Netflix. A DVD player and DVDs are also available. There are games, puzzles, a ping pong table, swing, and books available for your enjoyment.

The loft is one open room, about 1,000 square feet, and includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room area, and sleeping area. Wall spaces can be created with the ping pong table to separate the sleeping area. The hanging bed is suitable for relaxing or sleeping for anyone comfortable with ladders and height. The closet is spacious and provides a changing area with a door. And yes, the swing will hold you.

The entire loft is yours alone. The hallway leading to front door is a shared hallway.

We created this HomeBase apartment to give you all the comforts of home while away from home—plus more. Its design is a spacious 1100 sq. ft. in a contemporary-rustic style with clean lines and minimal furnishings in organic earth tones, all of which provide a sense of calm and comfort.

The apartment is furnished with one king-size bed and one queen-size bed, both with quality memory foam mattresses.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare a homemade meal. But if you prefer quick and easy, there is a retro-cool microwave and a powerful Ninja blender for smoothies. The dining table and chairs are so comfortable, they will convert the most die-hard couch-eater into enjoying a meal like a civilized person :)

Speaking of comfortable furniture, the living room sofas are very relaxing to stretch out on while watching the 55" Roku Smart TV. Roku has a "Guest-Mode" which logs you out of your streaming channels upon checkout. Cool! The smart TV also lets you AirPlay or ScreenCast from your mobile devices. Or, just keep it simple and watch the live channels included.

We love technology, and tech is featured throughout the apartment. In addition to the Roku Smart TV mentioned above, there is a smart wifi lock which can be controlled via the keypad or mobile app. Your access code will be the last four digits of your phone number. FYI, there is a lockbox with a key on the back door as a backup. The thermostat is smart too, but can also be controlled manually, and there is a Ring doorbell for added security and convenience. If you have trouble with check-in, simply ring the doorbell and someone will communicate with you through the doorbell to solve any issues or let you in immediately.

We also like fast Internet, and this apartment features 300+Mbps speeds which should be plenty for even the most work-intensive jobs. We have designed a mesh network to provide full coverage with zero dead spots, and even have the TV hardwired to ethernet to increase performance. Finally, the living room, both bedrooms, and the office space have USB ports to charge your electronic devices.

For our Digital Nomads and Travel Professionals, we enhanced our office workspace to include a 32" HD display with HDMI cable, keyboard w/numeric keypad, USB hub, and laser printer/scanner.

In terms of amenities, we've got you covered too! We provide small, yet important, things like an iron, a blow dryer, soap, paper products, premium coffee and tea, and more.

You'll have access to the entire #3 Blue Door apartment with two assigned parking spaces. Our stays feature seamless automation from booking to checkout, but I'm only 10 minutes or a text away if needed.

NOTE: Must be able to climb stairs. There are 8 steps to the entrance and 15 steps from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor. All steps meet OSHA standards for tread rise and depth.

Our local thoroughfare, East Main St is in the early stages of a major D.O.T. construction project. While we meticulously maintain our street, entrance, and parking, the incoming side street (Pathfinder) has potholes in the section scheduled to be relocated.

Online Maps do not give the most accurate directions to 30 Trueway, so I will send written directions the day before your arrival.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the property is equipped with an exterior camera and floodlight, and the apartment has a Ring doorbell. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior. They do not point inside any apartment, and there are no cameras on the inside.

Other security features include a Duke Power pole-mounted area light which illuminates the entire parking area, and each apartment has motion-activated flood lights at both the front and rear entrances.

Our checkout procedure is simple; leave it to us. I mean, that's why you pay a cleaning fee, right? As a traveler, having to both pay a cleaning fee AND have a laundry list of to-dos to check off before checkout has always been a pet peeve of mine. I promised myself that if I ever became a host, I wouldn't require my guests to perform such duties as they left. Mornings are hectic enough already. It takes three hours to clean the apartmentto our high standards, and we pay our cleaners a living wage of $25 per hour, which is how our $75 cleaning fee is calculated.
No smoking, no pets, no parties. This apartment is not suitable for parties, events, hook-ups, or meet-ups. If these are your requirements, you would be better served at another property.

Greens creek is a long windy road with not much traffic and a scenic stroll with farms and pastures. Enjoy watching the horses and cows from the comfort of the dome. Dome is situated at the peak of our mountain and at the base is a bustling creek that runs the entire length of the property. There you will find a 3 person swing overlooking the water, a foot bridge and creek side club house (currently under renovation) but is all accessible to guest. Although your space is equipped with a fire pit and hang out area, down by the creek lies a second fire pit and lots of space to lounge and picnic.

The entire length of the property is lined by a bustling creek up to 25 feet across in some areas, access point is a private bridge at entrance. Slow and steady wins the race up the mountain, four wheel or all wheel drive is recommended though not required. Road is partly gravel and partly asphalt in steeper areas, some points can be narrow but is lined with reflectors for guidance up and down the mountain terrain.

NEW 4 PERSON HOT TUB INSTALLED OCTOBER 2022! While only 500sq ft, this guesthouse packs a punch! Full kitchen, full bath, king bed, queen sleeper sofa, and 50in smart TV. The outdoor deck and the outdoor covered shed allow for total privacy from the main house. Enjoy the fire pit and ping pong table, or just curl up on the outdoor furniture and listen to the stream that runs behind the house.
PLEASE NOTE:
The neighbors at the main house have 2 dogs that are contained to the main house yard via underground fence. They will most likely bark if they see you. Luna is the golden retriever and Jade is the brindle mix. They are sweet dogs and although contained to the main house if you don't like dogs this might not be the best place for you.
The driveway is gravel, long, and windy. It is not particularly steep and I have no trouble with it in a car or minivan so it is suitable for most all vehicles.

This is our 2nd overnight rental here at Mountain Top Rentals LLC at our same mountain top location. The "View" apartment has a commanding view of Western Carolina University and Cullowhee NC. This apartment is a large 1,950 square feet. It a 2-bedroom with king-size beds in each bedroom, There is a full kitchen with every amenity we can think of. There is a very large living dining kitchen area that has a gas log fireplace, huge TVs, game closet, exercise equipment, a glow in the dark putting green/ Just outsided is your large brick paver private patio with a jaw-dropping view of WCU and Cullowhee NC . On the patio expect to find a gas firepot for smores (Kits provided), picnic table, hanging porch swing, Adirondack chairs for sunrise coffee and a TOP of the line hot tub.

Enjoy a cozy experience at this centrally-located place. Walk to downtown Sylva markets, bars, shops, and drive 5 minutes to the river, or 15 to get on the parkway. Studio is one big room with a full kitchen, full size bathroom, private entrance going downstairs (with window wells), and lots of parking. Pets are welcome.

The space
This is an apartment that enters from the side street (BEACON DRIVE); you walk up three stairs and then down to the basement apt. We have 2 rescue dogs inside the gate who do bark sometimes (if they are out) but they love people. Parking is across the street from the house. You can easily park 2-3 vehicles. We do welcome animals! There are cats around, and you are welcome to bring your pet as long as you adhere to the local by-laws (leash and pick up). The house overlooks the little town, and is perfect for those who want to walk the library stairs or drive 15 minutes to WCU or the parkway.

You have a studio, with kitchen, private entrance, and bathroom with shower and lots of storage for your clothing. The laundry is off limits unless you are staying for more than a week.

The space
You'll be staying in The Blue Door #3, which is three minutes to the historic main street of Sylva with its iconic courthouse and unique businesses, or to the shops of Dillsboro in about nine minutes. Western Carolina University in under ten minutes, and Southwestern Community College in five minutes. Four grocery stores are within five minutes, Harris hospital in four minutes, and easily satisfy a Starbucks craving in a two minute drive. 

Our central locale also offers convenience for a broader reach, with the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, and Harrah's Casino all less than 20-minutes away. See the elk in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (GSMNP) in less than 30 minutes. Asheville and the Biltmore House are less than an hour away.

We created this HomeBase apartment to give you all the comforts of home while away from home—plus more. Its design is a spacious 1100 sq. ft. in a contemporary-rustic style with clean lines and minimal furnishings in organic earth tones, all of which provide a sense of calm and comfort.

The apartment is furnished with one king-size bed and one queen-size bed, both with quality memory foam mattresses.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare a homemade meal. But if you prefer quick and easy, there is a retro-cool microwave and a powerful Ninja blender for smoothies. The dining table and chairs are so comfortable, they will convert the most die-hard couch-eater into enjoying a meal like a civilized person :)

Speaking of comfortable furniture, the living room sofas are very relaxing to stretch out on while watching the 55" Roku Smart TV. Roku has a "Guest-Mode" which logs you out of your streaming channels upon checkout. Cool! The smart TV also lets you AirPlay or ScreenCast from your mobile devices. Or, just keep it simple and watch the live channels included.

We love technology, and tech is featured throughout the apartment. In addition to the Roku Smart TV mentioned above, there is a smart wifi lock which can be controlled via the keypad or mobile app. Your access code will be the last four digits of your phone number. FYI, there is a lockbox with a key on the back door as a backup. The thermostat is smart too, but can also be controlled manually, and there is a Ring doorbell for added security and convenience. If you have trouble with check-in, simply ring the doorbell and someone will communicate with you through the doorbell to solve any issues or let you in immediately.

We also like fast Internet, and this apartment features 300+Mbps speeds which should be plenty for even the most work-intensive jobs. We have designed a mesh network to provide full coverage with zero dead spots, and even have the TV hardwired to ethernet to increase performance. Finally, the living room, both bedrooms, and the office space have USB ports to charge your electronic devices.

For our Digital Nomads and Travel Professionals, we enhanced our office workspace to include a 32" HD display with HDMI cable, keyboard w/numeric keypad, USB hub, and laser printer/scanner.

In terms of amenities, we've got you covered too! We provide small, yet important, things like an iron, a blow dryer, soap, paper products, premium coffee and tea, and more.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the property is equipped with an exterior camera and floodlight, and the apartment has a Ring doorbell. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior. They do not point inside any apartment, and there are no cameras on the inside.

Other security features include a Duke Power pole-mounted area light which illuminates the entire parking area, and each apartment has motion-activated flood lights at both the front and rear entrances.

Our checkout procedure is simple; leave it to us. I mean, that's why you pay a cleaning fee, right? As a traveler, having to both pay a cleaning fee AND have a laundry list of to-dos to check off before checkout has always been a pet peeve of mine. I promised myself that if I ever became a host, I wouldn't require my guests to perform such duties as they left. Mornings are hectic enough already. It takes three hours to clean the apartment to our high standards, and we pay our cleaners a living wage of $25 per hour, which is how our $75 cleaning fee is calculated.

This loft apartment is unique to our area. It is located on the ground floor right on Main Street with a wall of windows overlooking Mill Street. The high ceilings and exposed brick give the space an urban feel. Wifi is available. There is a smart TV set up with Netflix. A DVD player and DVDs are also available. There are games, puzzles, a ping pong table, swing, and books available for your enjoyment.

The loft is one open room and includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room area, and sleeping area. Wall spaces can be created with the ping pong table to separate the sleeping area. The hanging bed is suitable for relaxing or sleeping for anyone comfortable with ladders and height. The closet is spacious and provides a changing area with a door. And yes, the swing will hold you.

Complete with a walk-in shower, washer / dryer, dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen - stay the weekend or stay the month!

The couch doubles as a trundle bed - housing two twin mattresses to combine and make a king bed or keep separate depending on your preference. Perfect for two couples or a family with young kiddos. Although other guests have said it's their "favorite little love nest!"

Enjoy a little porch and watch the butterflies and fireflies play in the native flower gardens all over the property.
