For winter sports enthusiasts, we are only 15 minutes from Wolf Laurel ski resort. You’ll feel like you’re out in the country, but Asheville is only 20 minutes away. We are located in Madison county, “the jewel of the Blue Ridge”, featuring Marshall and Hot Springs. There is a restored 100 year old farmhouse next door, and a log cabin from the early 1800’s. . We are about 30 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, an hour from Mt. Mitchell, 5 minutes from Mars Hill College, 15 minutes from downtown Weaverville. Walk to everything! Our modern farmhouse guest suite is located in beautiful downtown Weaverville, NC. Enjoy your own private entrance located on the bottom floor of our gorgeous, new home where you have your own parking space and lovely front porch. Walk just one block to all the restaurants, breweries and shopping Downtown Weaverville has to offer. We are just 9 miles from Asheville and an easy walk to Lake Louise, where you can sit and watch the ducks and geese, or enjoy a relaxing day. It's the perfect location for a relaxing vacation.

The decor is colorful and charming. We especially loved the peacock sheets and mugs! So pretty! The kitchenette has everything you need for basic coffee/tea, snacks, etc (no oven, but we planned to eat out for most meals). The location is fantastic! It's a quiet street in a peaceful, walkable neighborhood, just a few short blocks from Main Street. Weaverville is a lovely little town, only 10 minutes or so from Asheville but much calmer and quieter! The host, Lanise, is friendly and very prompt to reply and answer any questions. The property is a lower level apartment in her house, but there is no noise from above at all. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well! All in all, a fantastic stay and we hope very much to come back again!"

We invite you to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind in our ‘Little Piece of Heaven’ surrounded by acres of woods, fields, lawns, gardens, pond & mountain views.

Private driveway/parking to lower level of home with private 2 bdrm, full bath apt - 2 queen bedrooms with keyed entrances, TV’s in each room, den with desk and futon (full-sleeps 1). (This is the only area that host has personal affects as this is a semi shared space. Host may access the hall to the den when guests are 'out n about' to use the laundry room).

Kitchenette provides mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric fry pan, toaster, coffee pot, coffee, tea, creamer, starter breakfast, oatmeal packets & snacks, mugs, dishes, cutlery, glasses (beverage and wine). there is an add'l mini fridge in Blue Rm closet for over flow convenience.

Laundry/utility room is available to wash dishes and do laundry if needed.

The patio is a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and soak in the mountain air in the hot tub. Deer come to side yard to feed at dusk. It is weather protected with hammock, table/chairs, cushioned chairs, Weber grill, fire pit and outdoor lighting. Side yard has a "chipping golf range" (wedges and limited balls provided).

We also have an Australian Shepherd-Callie. She is very friendly but does like to do her job by 'herding' visitors at times. A firm NO will send her scurrying, but please be sure to let us know if she is bothering you. She spends most of her time with us in our home upstairs. You also may be visited by one or more of our six chickens. They are free range during the day and like to come and visit periodically.

*We do allow 1 dog, 25 lbs or under, must be crated when not supervised and we ask that they not be permitted to be in or on beds/furniture.

Our home is an easy 20 min. to downtown Asheville, skiing at Wolf Laurel is 14 mi and 10 min to Weaverville with galleries, shops, bakery and restaurants. Also our area provides abundance of outdoor activities: beautiful hiking trails with water falls, views, rafting, zip lining to name a few.

The house is right around the corner (easy walking distance) from Lake Louise which has a playground, fishing access, and a walking path. It's an easy 15 minute drive into downtown Asheville. The Forest Studio at the Manor on Main provides the perfect combination of modern amenities and convenience with a touch of the past. Featuring a mix of antiques original to the Manor and contemporary furnishings, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom ground-level studio apartment offers a whirlpool tub/shower combination*, fireplace, kitchenette with microwave & coffee makers, and more, including high-speed internet and a large screen Roku TV with Spectrum's new streaming app, offering 250 live channels. As part of the the Manor on Main complex the Forest Studio is situated on a 3/4-acre picturesque lot boasting stately grounds with a beautiful herb and flower garden. The separate accommodations may be rented individually for an intimate getaway or together, for a larger gathering or special event.

* Please be aware that seniors or individuals with mobility issues may have difficulty using the whirlpool tub/shower combination in the Garden or Forest Studios, as the step over may be too high to safely negotiate. There are secure grab bars to assist in entering and exiting the tub, but you need to be aware that this situation may present a problem if you have mobility issues.

The entire property consists of a large main house, the Forest and Garden Studio suites with a breezeway, and the free-standing Mountain View Cottage near the back gardens. The entire property comfortably sleeps 16 people.

- "This place is so quaint. I needed a place to stay to Wild Abundance where I was taking a 5 day woman’s only carpentry class. Well Bred was only 15 min away and walking distance into downtown where I picked up breakfast or dinner when I felt like it. I was the only one on the property and felt very safe even though it had a main house, another studio and a cottage. Their digital locks were awesome. The jet tub was help relax my back after the classes and the bed very comfortable. They had coffee and tea stocked up and it had a mini fridge freezer and a microwave! I especially loved the cookies and complimentary $10 gift certificate to their bakery! I will definitely stay again because it literally is only 15-20 min from Asheville! The host was very quick to respond to my questions!"

- "The Lower Peach was the ideal spot for our family who was visiting friends that live in Weaverville. The apartment had everything we needed and having the fenced in yard off the back was wonderful! Just opened the door and the dogs could run, play and do their business. The owners checked in on us to be sure that we were comfortable, since the weather was unseasonably cold while we were there. We’ll definitely use this location when we come to town with our dogs."

- "While the post states that there is a hot tub, the hot tub was not able to be used. However, overall, our experience was great. Kel is a great host, the place was very clean and it is obvious that the comfort of guests is highly considered! There were things i did not expect such as disposable razors and toothbrushes all individually wrapped as a sanitary precaution. Being a downstairs apartment type area there was some noise from upstairs, but nothing crazy. They were very considerate!! We had such a great time! I absolutely recommend staying here if you are needing somewhere in the Asheville, NC area!"

Our space is a new spacious 1 bedroom apartment. We are located 12 min from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. We have a king size bed in the bedroom and 2 luxury twin air mattresses available if you are traveling with kids or friends. The whole apartment has room darkening shades for sleeping in the living area.

The apartment is located above our 4 car garage with 977 square feet of living space. It is equipped with a full kitchen and 3/4 bath. We have a washer and dryer exclusively for your use and a pack n play as needed. All linens are provided.

They also provided excellent dining and entertainment recommendations (The Yellow Mug saw us a few times and the drive through Pisgah National Forest was gorgeous). This property is a duplex, but you are unlikely to see guests staying on the opposite side of the property. The property has private, free parking just a few feet from the base of the stairs and a private porch. There are no shared spaces whatsoever.

Enjoy our beautiful spacious private guest apartment. Relax in our backyard full of surprises for kids: swing set, tree house and sand box. Lake Louise park is just 3 min of nice walk where you can find additional new playground, outdoor gym or just walk around the lake. The space
You are coming to a beautiful apartment with a separate entrance located in the basement of our home. The things that are mostly appreciated by guests are: the big rain spa looking like shower, the comfy king size mattress and backyard amenities for kids and pets. We are non smokers and have high sensitivity to smoke therefore we ask all guests to NOT SMOKE anywhere on our property, not even in your vehicle. We live upstairs with our 6.5 and 8 years old children so you might hear us especially mornings and bed times. Our house is quiet between 9pm and 7am and we do our best to keep it quiet also during the day.
This is a KIDS FRIENDLY home. There are chickens, big sand box with sand toys, basket ball court, swings, tree house, 15" trampoline and a lot of running space in the fenced area of our back yard. We are happy when guests take advantage of it all (even when they don't have kids). Please attend your kids all the time when they are outside.
All well behaved PETS are welcomed and please inform us if you are bringing a pet. Guests are welcomed to let their pets run free in our fenced big back yard, please inform us if you plan to do so, so that we can prepare our hens.

There is a king size bed in the bedroom . If you need a toddler bed, twin size air mattress or a pack-and-play, please let us know in advance so we can set them up for you.

Upon guests suggestions we installed:
1) an AC and heating unit with independent control in the apartment
2) a smart TV so you can connect to your Netflix or other
3) a comfortable arm chair with foot rest

The apapartment does not have a washer and dryer, but there is a very clean 24-7 Laundromat about 5 minutes away in downtown Weaverville. Free parking. Their machines are fast and you can walk to a coffee shop or restaurant while you wait.

OUTDOORS:
You're only 2 miles from an interstate (I-26), but it feels like you're in a country retreat. Situated between two streams and backing up to a forested mountain, you'll hear the sounds of nature and enjoy the fresh air. We are situated at the end of a quiet road, good for walking/jogging and enjoying the peaceful country views.

Spacious yard to enjoy with outdoor seating! You can have a campfire by the stream if you'd like. Firewood provided.


WEAVERVILLE:
Downtown Weaverville has everything you need. It is a sweet little town with a great coffeeshop, a hopping bakery with delicious treats, a popular pizza place, three breweries, art galleries, and more! All your basic shopping needs are within 5 minutes of the apartment - multiple grocery stores, drug stores, Walmart, Lowes, gas stations.

We are in close proximity to hiking, biking, and sightseeing destinations, including trails in the National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, French Broad River. As a native of western North Carolina and outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to provide advice on your visit to the area.

Huge flat yard is perfect for kids to run and play and parents to relax. Sandbox, swing, small stream to play in.

This cozy studio apartment is above our garage and is a short walk (about 800 feet) to downtown Weaverville. Enjoy restaurants, shops, and breweries of Weaverville just a few minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 10 minute drive. It is perfect for a single traveler, a couple, or a small family.

Kids do not need to pay extra guest fee. Message me and I'll send you a promotion to remove that fee. See below for kid’s promotion.

The space

We have a two night minimum on (most) weekends, Friday and Saturday nights, except for some last minute deals.

Kids: Our 8 year old loves when other kids his age stay, so if you travel with your 5-12 year old, we will give you 20% off. Just message me.

The apartment is 450 square feet. It has a well-stocked small kitchen with a full fridge, apartment-sized gas stove, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, and drip and pour-over coffee makers.

The bed is a queen with a memory foam mattress. A small tri-fold mattress is available upon request. We wash all bedding after each stay, including duvet cover.

We make it a top priority to control the insects and bugs, but we are in the mountains and from time to time you may see one during your stay. Stink bugs like it around here!

Upon request, I can (most of the time) provide grocery items, homemade bread, & fresh eggs from our chickens for a small fee. Just check in when you make reservations if you are interested in this.

Cleaning is available during your stay. Please inquire for fees.

If you stay longer than 10 days, the cleaning fee increases an additional $40 (due at time of checkin). If you tidy up after yourself, we will reimburse that additional cleaning few after checkout.

We welcome kids!! We have a small outdoor climbing wall for little ones and plenty of toys upon request. The school playground is across the street and can be used during hours school is not in session. Please note that there is a flight of stairs to enter and there is no child gate at the top of the stairs. No additional fees for children. Our son loves when kids visit!

Well behaved dogs are welcome for a $45 fee per dog, due before check-in. Max of 2 small/medium dogs (less than 40 pounds) or one large dog. We ask that all dogs are up-to-date on vaccines and flea and tick preventative. If you stay longer than 5 days with a dog, the cleaning fee increases to an additional $40, due before check-in.

Dogs must be crated when you are not with them in the apartment. $100 charge for any pet damage found upon departure. We do not allow cats.

We live right next door - we will most likely run into each other and hear each other come and go. My husband is a musician so you may hear instruments being played and music being enjoyed. Because we live on the property, we ask that you communicate with us promptly and we will strive to do the same. Quiet hours (for guests and for us) are from 10-7.

We do not contract any services out to a management company; we are next door and available should you need anything.

Overall, this is a pretty chill family and school neighborhood and not a place for coming to party. If you're looking for that, please explore other options in the area. If you're looking for a laid back, very clean, and comfortable space, please stay with us!

Three wonderful humans in their 50s & 60s live upstairs. Private entrance with no steps for easy access. Hot tub and outdoor table available for outside time. The house is both quiet and lively depending on the hour. We're looking for someone who is quiet at night but may enjoy some social time. We occasionally host healing events here in the main house, so you may be able to pop into a Chi Gung class on Sundays at noon or a sound journey/bath if you're interested!

NOISE SURCHARGE:

A NOTE ABOUT THE TEMP:

Durning the Summer, the central air is controlled by the main house. The apartment is nested into the Earth (with pretty big windows for a ground level/basement apartment), so stays a lot cooler than the rest of the house. In fact, I tend to close the vents or it gets too chilly for me!

There is a ceiling fan in the main room. Generally, the AC for the house is off during the night as the temps drop here in the mountains, and my upstairs housemates have their own units.

During the Winter, I have a heater that can raise the temp from the main house heating.

We have a king size bed in the bedroom and 2 luxury twin air mattresses available if you are traveling with kids or friends. The whole apartment has room darkening shades for sleeping in the living area.

The apartment is located above our 4 car garage with 977 square feet of living space. It is equipped with a full kitchen and 3/4 bath. We have a washer and dryer exclusively for your use and a pack n play as needed. All linens are provided.

The space
Main bedroom has a King bed, a dresser, a closet with hangers, a smart TV (Roku), plus bedside charging stations. There are full blinds to allow for sleeping in. There is a sound machine in the room as well for your use.

The loft bedroom is open to below (no walls), but it has a tall railing around it except for where the ladder enters the space. There is a cozy reading beanbag chair in the room and a shelf system with cubbies to use for clothing storage. This room also has a sound machine.

There is one full bathroom with a large shower, including a hand sprayer and seats.

There is a brand new back deck that will be outfitted with comfortable lounge chairs, a dining table and umbrella, and a gas grill. The forest and mountain views and the sound of the creek from the deck are awesome.

The yard is available for you to enjoy - to sit in and relax by the creek, to play a game of frisbee or kick a soccer ball around. There is a rustic fire ring (firewood provided) where you can have a campfire upon request.

All the windows have either blinds or curtains, so you'll have plenty of privacy, though many of your views are of the forest.

You are coming to a beautiful apartment with its own separate entrance located on the lower level of our home overlooking our nearly 3 acres. Conveniently located in downtown Weaverville the view from the unit is impressive. Other features that have been most appreciated by guests are; the oversized walk-in shower, a full kitchen with all of the utensils that we believe you will need, a comfortable dining area that seats 4, a relaxing living room area with a large screen TV featuring Roku, and lots of green space for exploring. We also have a second unoccupied building where you will find a charming covered back porch overlooking a tranquil meadow that frequently has turkey, deer, and an occasional groundhog passing through.

Bedroom 1; you will find a comfortable queen size bed with multiple layers of fresh bedding.

Each of the bedrooms have an independently controlled heating unit that you can custom-tailor for your own comfort. We live upstairs with our dog Finley, our cat Hobbes, and you may also see our 2 chickens occasionally strolling around. Finley is securely kept in his own fenced area, and we do ask you to not go in that part of the property.

The fully stocked kitchen has a spice rack for those who like to cook, with new stainless dishwasher, electric stove and full fridge with freezer. We've got pots and pans and baking utensils too! Microwave, toaster, blender, electric teapot, baking trays, pizza pan, sharp knives, wine glasses, and everything you need to cook from home, or order in and really enjoy it! We also provide a starter pack of oil, vinegar, spices, salt, pepper, paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher pods.

We provide a starter selection of coffee and tea for your enjoyment. We also provide starter coffee creamer and a variety of sugars. Make coffee with the Keurig or do a pour over (starter paper filters included) - you’ve got options!

Stretch out on the comfy king size bed with soft 100% cotton sheets in your spacious bedroom with an overhead fan for temperature control. Bedside lamps have USB chargers. Plenty of king size pillows on the bed! There is also a Homemedics white noise machine for your sleeping pleasure! Draw the blackout shades and blackout drapes for extra privacy and light control.

We also have extra linens in the bedroom closet, as well as a luggage rack, iron and ironing board. Hang your clothes on the wooden hangers here, and help yourself to the antique, mirrored dresser in the bedroom.
