- "Our stay was cozy and quiet and it felt like it was the "best of both worlds" in that we had a quiet room to ourselves like a hotel and yet access to community area and kitchen like a house. The little creek right outside out door was nice to sit and listen and the room was good and cool when we got in there. My only issue was there are lights outside the room that were very bright in the room at night and some shades in addition to the curtains would be helpful."

I erected a wall in the upstairs hall, so the slight lack of privacy in previous comments about slight lack of privacy has been corrected.

Guests have the entire upstairs section of the house, with 2B1b, LR-DR-Kitchen Hearth Room, plus large, 12-foot wide covered deck with another dining table, conversation area, hot tub, and gas grill. This also has a twin-trundle day bed, so one or two guests can glamp on the deck, if desired. Also, smoking is permitted on the deck and you'll find an ashtray there. So quiet, peaceful, with a cool mountain breeze and no traffic. Your private family getaway.

Other things to note
In case you desire, there is another, luxury King BR downstairs. You can rent the King BR for an additional fee of $35 per night.
You may see review comments regarding open space over the stairwell. That has been removed by a new wall replacing banisters and rail.

The suite is private, quiet, and roomy. Hear the rushing stream just 100 feet from the suite. The suite is cozy warm in winter and fall, and cool and comfortable in spring and summer. The rushing stream, elevation, and shade of the trees makes stifling, artificial air conditioning unnecessary. The suite does have standard sofa sleeper that can accommodate children.
