Our homey apartment is very comfortable for 4 people. We do provide an air mattress that will accommodate 2 extra people in the living room. It has been recently remodeled. The home is easily accessible with only 1 small step to get to the front porch with the rest of the home all on one level.

PET RULES:
1. No pets on the furniture or beds.
2. No pets to be left unattended unless in a kennel.
3. Clean up after your pet inside and out.
4. A $100 minimum pet cleaning fee will be charged for any pet odors, excessive hair left behind or damage.

They did a great job incorporating original architecture and design with the revitalization of the space.There were so many homey touches that made our experience a good one. There were two bottles of water, freshly baked oatmeal-raisin cookies, a Keureg and K-pods. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very nice.The only thing that threw me off a little was the fact that it was managed more as a vacation rental than a lodge. I originally found the listing on Hotels.com. That, coupled with the name, The Lodge gave me the impression there would be people in the building running the place when we got there. Nobody wider had booked the other two rooms available so we had the entire place to ourselves. It was nice at first but made me a little nervous after dark since my daughter and I were traveling alone. That being said, I know we were safe because there was a code to get into the building and another code to get in our room. I just didn't realize we would be by ourselves when we booked it.We truly did love our stay and the room. I look forward to staying here with my husband when we are in town visiting my daughter at school."

Plenty of room to bring your boat or any other lake toys. Parking clearly marked right across from units. Please no parking in grassy outside area around porch. We are a safe community and have cameras out but not responsible for items left outside so please secure all your belongings.

It's worth mentioning that we are an area that sees wildlife. If you are sipping morning coffee on the patio don't be surprised to see a deer. It is rare in our area but possible to see a bear or bear family. Please know it is illegal to feed the bears AT ALL. This is for their own safety. When bears become too comfortable around people, they are put down as a threat. Please admire but don't feed a bear.... ever. The saying is a fed bear is a dead bear. Be aware when driving in tree dense areas a critter who does not respect our road laws could pop out.

Other things to note
Douglas lake is an amazing place. One of the top ten in country for largemouth bass. Lots of boat and Ski rental areas, even one at mountain harbor inn at the end of the street. The only grocery in town is Food City. They have all needs covered and full-service meat dept. Marthas has more specialty items. Food trucks are a big thing here FB group "Dandridge food truck Page" does a pretty good job of who is where. Also "I love Dandridge" is a good one to explore upcoming events locally and there are many.

If you have the time, take a simple walk down main street, if you have never experienced a small town, is a great experience. Drop into Tinsley Bible for a cheeseburger and milk shake from their soda fountain, you won't be disappointed. There are also a few boutique style shops that work hard to be current yet great at a view of our history.

Dollywood is 20 miles away
Sevierville is 18 miles away

Knoxville only half hour away with much more , like malls. Close to Pigeon Forge - About 50 - 60 min to Gatlinburg . Just over an hour from Ashville NC. (So we're centrally located)

After entering the apartment, the light switches are to your right. The one closest to the door turns on the porch light. There is also a shoe rack to your right. We ask that you remove your shoes after entering the apartment. There is a fan in bedroom. The kitchen is to your right and most of your cooking amenities are close to the oven/range. Your glassware, plates, bowels, utensils, and coffee cups are to the left of the barstools on the kitchen island. We provide one complimentary bottle of water and one coffee pod per person per stay. The sofa has electric recliners in it. Your living room and dining room are separated by a dividing structure. We ask that you do not step on it because it encloses a previous opening to a staircase. Your walk-in closet is behind the door of the bedroom. You're on suit has a light switch with a touch screen area to change lighting features or to turn on/off fan. There are extra pillows, blanket, and towels in walk in closet. We hope you have a great stay.

This apartment is 1250 square feet. You can park to the left of the double front door. There are no steps inside this apartment and no steps to enter the apartment. There is a lockbox to the left of the front door. You have access to the entire upper level of the building.

Other things to note
Cellphone service is not available at property. However, our Wi-Fi is strong, and you can use Wi-Fi calling if your phone is equipped with that option. Please remove your shoes after entering apartment. There may be guests in the downstairs suite. We try to block the downstairs unit from bookings if we have sufficient notice. If both units are rented simultaneously, we manually control the temperature of building. The upstairs apartment and downstairs suite are not connected.
