Accessibility: There is one flight of outside stairs leading up to the train car entrance and one stair inside leading up to the bathroom.

There is an outdoor pavilion with a BBQ, picnic tables and comfortable places to sit. We also have a tranquil fish pond and bonfire pit located in the center of the property for all of our guests to enjoy. Make s'mores or just relax and listen to the gurgling water and enjoy the fish.

During the spring and summer months, enjoy our flower farm, Rainbow Roots, which is always abundant with seasonal flowers including dahlias, sunflowers, peonies, zinnias, ranunculus, tulips and other varieties of color. Most days you will see Adrienne (+team) working in the flowers! Don't hesitate to ask her about the flower farm, she LOVES to share her love of flowers with all her guests!

Other things to note:
Vehicle access is clearly marked and very easy to navigate straight to the train. Just follow the gravel road at the end of the culdusac all the way to the end where you'll see a large round wood sign with the Platform 1346 name on it. Turn left at the the sign and there will be a railroad tie paved parking area in front of the train. Feel free to pull right onto the parking area.

My husband Tyler designed and built this tiny home himself while working full time as a teacher and having a newborn. We started the built in 2018 and officially opened in 2020!! We cannot wait to share it with you!

We are only 10 minutes to downtown Maryville, 25 min to downtown Knoxville, 25 minutes to Townsend, 35 min to Pigeon Forge and 50 minutes to Gatlinburg!

Closest airport is only 12-15 minutes away (it’s the Knoxville/McGhee Tyson airport)

I would turn your blinker on when you pass over the bridge... you will be turning on the next street and people drive way too fast on this road. :)

The driveway is L shaped... so when you pull in, you are going to turn right to park... depending on car size you may have to do a little 3 point turn :)

The apartment is in the LOWER level of our home with no access to the rest of the home. You will have personalized climate control.
Enjoy your own private apartment with a full-sized kitchen and bath. You will have plenty of privacy with your own separate driveway and entrance. See photos provided.

Our space is perfect for one or two guests (maximum of three) looking to relax in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We do offer a rollaway twin bed with a memory foam mattress that can be made available.

Our bathroom is spacious with a tub/shower combo. You will always have hot water available as we have a tankless/on demand water heater. Lots of clean fluffy towels and bath products available for your use.

Our kitchen has dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, blender, toaster, electric tea pot, mixer, spices, and oils for our guests to use if they choose to cook. Also an insulated cooler and ice packs are available for use if you desire to take a picnic to the mountains.

We have provided an outdoor seating area with a gorgeous view of the Smokies. Enjoy your coffee in the morning outdoors if you like (drip coffee maker, coffee and cream provided). Along with that morning coffee, Pam may just have some fresh mini mountain muffins waiting for you!

We love to host your little ones too so we have provided games, toys, books, and puzzles to keep them entertained.

We want you to have a relaxing quiet stay without stress so we have made our place as comfortable as possible for you. We have installed double insulation in the walls and ceiling to promote a quiet and peaceful stay for you.

Also you will find a notebook filled with local information to help you decide what you would like to do while here...whether hiking, bike riding , tubing, searching for bears and waterfalls, finding a great restaurant or golf course.

We are assured that this will be a place you will remember! It will bring us joy knowing you did have a great time with us. We live hectic lives and it's good to take time to just be still and enjoy the quietness of the Smokies. It's refreshing friends to nourish your souls. This is a great place to take care of yourself and replenish your energy level.

Guest access
You will have a private entrance with a private driveway. There are no steps to climb and the floor plan is all one level. Quick and easy to unload your vehicle as driveway will bring you just steps away from the entrance. There is no access to the rest of the home (My husband and I live in the UPPER level) and we will not have access to you during your stay unless you need us. We will provide you with the entrance code prior to your arrival.

Other things to note
There is a Dollar General store one mile away on Hwy 321 for your basic grocery needs including fresh fruit and vegetables or your basic personal item needs. The Food Lion grocery is only minutes away also.

If you happen to arrive after sunset, we do have solar lights on the fence by your private driveway. Also there is a motion light as you pull up to the BLUE chairs.

Parking tags are now required for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They can be purchased at the Great Smokies Welcome Center in Townsend, $5 daily, $15 weekly, $40 annual. Parking tags are not required for motorists who pass through the area or who park for less than 15 minutes. For additional locations for purchasing tags or to purchase online in advance of your trip visit the National Park Service website for the Great Smoky Mountains.
