proof of ID for verification purposes, and provide a $300 security deposit hold.
This hold will take place a few days before your booking and will be released a few days after your booking.
These things will be needed in order to receive any check-in information.

UP TO 2 DOGS ARE ALLOWED PER STAY, but you must select pets at the time of booking. The pet fee will automatically be included in the listed (host) fees. If this is not selected at the time of booking, there will be an additional $125 pet fee charged. Additional dogs may be considered, on a case by case basis. If approved, an extra fee will apply. Guests must clean up after their dogs in the yard and neighborhood.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by the sounds of Jonathan Creek. Once inside, you will enjoy a clean, cozy 2 BD/1.5BA home that has been lovingly renovated with wood ceilings, hardwood floors, and decorations fitting for mountain living. We have a mini split for heating and cooling. Covered porch with creek-side sounds & views including, 2 rocking chairs, a 4-person table and chairs. We provide bath towels, bed linens, blankets and pillows, and enough amenities to get you started, but you will need to bring everything you require to have an amazing Mountain Cottage experience with you.

Jonathan Creek runs the length of the property and can be enjoyed anywhere in the backyard; the picnic table, fire pit, the covered porch, grilling and eating at the outside table. Outdoor lighting has been installed to create a relaxing atmosphere while enjoying the creek and the wonderful outdoors. Located off a connector road to Soco Road - the home is conveniently located to get you where you want to go exploring or if you want to relax by the mountain stream.

Enjoy sounds and views of the creek off the front porch while rocking with a hot cup of coffee or tea!

We are motorcycle friendly. Access to the Cottage is paved and flat with easy year-round access and a parking area that allows for 2 vehicles or a small trailer with a vehicle.

No laundry is available in the Cottage on the Creek, but a laundry matt is just a couple miles away in Maggie near the Citgo gas station.

We will allow a dog, with prior approval, 40 lb max, for a $75 pet fee. We ask you to please clean up after your dog and to be considerate of others when leaving your dog outside.

This is a non-smoking home. We do allow smoking on the porch and outside and smoke pots are provided. Please do not throw butts in the trash can or in the yard or driveway.

Extremely convenient location walking distance to Downtown Maggie Valley's snow tubing hill, Joey's Pancake House, & Bearwaters Brewery to name a few. The Cataloochee Ski Resort, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum are less than 5 minutes driving distance from the house. Lake Junaluska is just a 15 minute drive away and Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is only a 22 minute drive from the house!
The upstairs is equipped with a full kitchen and breakfast nook, stacked washer/dryer, cozy living room with a 65" smart TV, as well as a dining room, 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The primary suite has a King sized bed and an oversized jetted tub at the foot of the bed for ultimate relaxation! The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, dresser and closet for luggage.
Downstairs boasts a full kitchen and bar area with a wine cooler, foosball table, Amish fireplace, and 65" smart TV in the living room. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom on the lower level as well as a large wrap around sleeper sofa. "The Bear Den" room has 2 double sized beds. "The Fishin' Hole" room has 2 twin sized beds. And the office has a twin sized trundle bed (twin up top and pullout twin below).

- "This home is as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. The space is perfect for a family with teens or two families traveling together. The location is “off the parking lot” of a small hotel and on a main road, so it’s not as secluded as some may want, but it was great for us. The creek on the property provided HOURS of fun for our teens, and there are so many ideal places to enjoy a book or quiet conversation. We even had a visit from a small herd of elk one morning. The whole set up lends itself to quality family time and exploring the beautiful area. Wes was really helpful in the planning stages, and the gifts of wine and snacks were much appreciated. We hope to be back again. (FYI - our first VRBO experience was horrible, and VRBO was not helpful, so I swore them off. I’m glad I gave it another try.)"

Also had a late breakfast at Joeys Pancake house! All very good eats and prices. Plenty of beautiful mountain vistas along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were close to Cherokee and went there and also to Smoky Mountain National Park. I do believe we were blessed with peak fall colors to make it even better. Easy check in and check out.
