- "This was a nice little getaway from the busy hectic work schedule a nice little downtime This is small but doesn’t feel small at all you have enough room not to feel cramped this was a first time here and I can say I will be back to stay again only down fall is not having a real oven even though this was a vacation I still prefer having to cook my food there is a decent size toaster oven but it Doesn’t do good for oven potatoes lol the cook top took a moment to unlock good thing there was an instruction manual for that Great relaxing time I did stay an additional day. The bad bed needs to be a little softer as well as the pillows. The other thing is the hot water ran out seeing as I stayed an additional day but it was fixed by the time I returned. Thanks again for being great hostesses They were very communicative and friendly. This is beside other houses besides this but it’s private enough to feel as you your alone"

- "Super peaceful and relaxing, easy to find, nice and dark for sleeping, steam shower felt great." - "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Buffalo Creek Bridge Cabin. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The rooms were larger than the pictures portray them to be, so that was a nice surprise. The living area had a big comfy chair and comfy couch. The bathroom boasted a large, steam shower that was very nice after a full day of hiking. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. There's a little room in between the bedroom and the living area that is not pictured in the listing, and it was my favorite little space with a desk & chair, books, and some hooks for hanging up whatever you need. The bedroom had a portable A/C unit that vented out a window and the living area was cooled by a unit in the wall of the kitchen space. By far my favorite part of the entire place was the bridge outside. It was a lovely, peaceful place to sit and hang out first thing in the morning and at the end of a long day of exploring. The cabin is within 5 mins or so of main street Bryson City, so it's convenient to whatever you want to explore there."

- "This is our 2nd visit to Doler Cottage. It is ideal for a low key, relaxing vacation." - "When arriving at Doler Cottage, you are immediately greeted by tall pines, leafy greens, and hints of glimmery water below. The moment you step foot on the property, a sense of relaxation and calm engulfs your entire being. The inside of the cottage is pure 70's gold with just the right amount of modern amenities. The floor plan is cozy yet open, with large west-facing windows towards the lake. The cottage is clean, the kitchen has everything you need, the dining/living room has plenty of seats, the bathroom is updated, and the beds are moderately comfortable (bring your pillow, but you'll pass out the moment you close your eyes). Folks, you're at the lake to be outside. The screen porch has ample room for all types of hangs, views of the ever-changing scenery, the sunset, and a gorgeous sycamore tree. The dock is several steps down, tucked into a mini cove which is perfect for swimming galore and your water toy/s of choice. Across the way sits an untouched forest that gives you glimpses of seclusion. Yes, there are neighbors, but they are long-time residents and very kind if you get the chance to meet them. Okay, okay, I love this place and hope you do too! I'll be back."

The Sweetgum Cottage is a small home that has been completely renovated. It features a wrap around deck and a large sitting and deck area underneath that is perfect for an evening of relaxation after enjoying the area attractions. The cottage has a fully furnished kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, a sofa bed, bathroom, central heat and air, washer and dryer, free WiFi and ample parking area for your vehicles. Access to the Cottage is via a ram or steps. It is conveniently located to the town of Robbinsville, a short drive from Lake Santeetlah and Lake Fontana, the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and great hiking trails and trout streams.

Sweetgum Cottage is located on property owned by the Davis family for several generations. We (Rick and Sara) are retired NC Public School employees after 30+ years with Graham County Schools. We have remodeled the Cottage and are now making it available as a short term rental property. Inside the cottage you will find a well appointed kitchen with everything you need to prepare and serve your meals. The dining table has seating for 4 to enjoy your home cooked meals.

Both bedrooms have recently been updated with soft, fluffy bedding! The master has a thick memory foam. All mattresses have hypoallergenic and bedbug protective covers on them, so you can sleep with peace of mind.

In the living room, the fireplace is the focal point, ready for you to enjoy at the touch of a button. It is open and spacious with a large leather sofa and a rocker easily allowing a group of 4 to relax or for a couple to cuddle. A large picture window looks out into the field where deer and wild turkey can often be spotted and makes for an absolute magical scene when the snow falls! The flat screen TV has a DVD player and ever-growing collection of movies. A guest favorite is the record player with a collection of classics with a few surprises.

There are several different outdoor spaces. The front porch, the screened in porch, the back patio where the hot tub is, and the fire pit area.

Access to the retreat is easy. It's located a little over 2 miled off the main highway but away from the road noise for peace and quiet. The road is not narrow or steep, all cars can access the house easily.

The Space

The living room is the perfect place to relax with a book by the fire, stream your favorite show with Starlink internet, or play a game.

Listen to the whistle of the steam engine as it passes by in the distance on the spacious screened patio. It's a great place for lounging, playing darts or grilling.

With so much to do in the area, you'll sleep well on the queen size bed with Helix mattress. The bedroom has black out curtains on all windows, a white noise machine and small fan, all for a sound sleep after your adventures.

The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook your favorite gourmet meal. If your not into cooking, there are several restaurants and breweries nearby.

The house is located on a mountainous road. The last tenth of a mile is gravel with two sharp turns. 4 wheel drive is not necessary (A Mazda 3 makes it just fine).

This is a cute cozy cottage that makes camping a breeze no need for a tent and all the things that you need to make your stay comfortable. We have all the basics covered in our cottage and even provide a picnic table and fire ring for campfires. Please note: We no longer provide sheets, blankets, pillows or towels due to covid19.

This cozy cottage has a toilet and sink, air cond, tv, micro, refrig, all at a very affordable price. The kids love using the bath house to take showers let's them experience camping in a comfortable cottage.

The Cute Cottage Above the Creek is an ideal getaway destination. Sitting up on the hillside with a great view down onto the creek. The hot tub is a great place to relax after a long day hiking or to warm up after playing or casting a line down in the creek. Tastefully decorated with a fire pit just out back, swing along the creek side, corn hole, satellite tv, internet as well as the peaceful secluded setting too enjoy when you not out exploring all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer.

We do ask that guests pay an additional fee of $15 a night per pet to cover the extra time it takes our staff to prepare the cottage for our next guests and that there be a limit of 2 dogs.

House is recently remodeled. Kitchen even has granite countertops. It’s a very comfortable and It’s one of the few places where you can be conveniently close to town AND enjoy a view of the mountains. We have just moved a new sofa and love seat in to give it a more cabin feel. I enjoy hosting and should have done this years ago.

When you first arrive at Mountain Magic Cottage, you’ll find parking for 2-3 vehicles. Travel up a small flight of stone stairs to the covered front porch. Relax in a rocking chair and soak in the breathtaking, year round views, enjoy a cup of coffee, or barbecue on the new gas grill.

As you walk in the front door, you’ll be delighted to find a wide open floor plan, wood-burning stone fireplace, and original tongue and groove walls and hardwood floors. Fully renovated with new furniture throughout, you will settle right into this cozy cottage with both its modern comforts and original charm.

The living room has a brand new queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress and Roku tv so our guests can stream their favorite shows. The living room opens into a fully stocked kitchen and dining area with large picture windows to enjoy the beautiful forest views.

When you travel down the hallway you will find a spacious suite with a king size bed, Roku tv, and attached full bath with a tub and shower, all recently remodeled. There is also a brand new washer dryer in the closet of this room.

The second bedroom is equally spacious with another comfortable king size bed, Roku tv and an adjacent full hall bath with a tub and shower.

Outside, our guests are welcomed to a creekside fire pit, large back yard, a fenced in dog area, and plenty of forest to explore if you desire.

Guest access
There is a private road to access the cottage. It is paved and maintained year round. The last part on the way to Mountain Magic cottage is straight but steep. There is plenty of room to turn around in the driveway so guests don’t have to back down the hill. During the winter months guests should have all wheel/four wheel drive in case of snow or ice.

Guest must climb a small flight of stairs to access the cottage.

The driveway up to the cottage is paved and steep. Four wheel drive is not necessary to access the cottage, but it is highly recommended in the winter months in case of ice and snow.

This property has two sister cottages on over 8 acres that can accommodate up to 14 guests total. Please message if you are interested in renting both cottages for family reunions, or other gatherings.

This comfortable mountain getaway is conveniently located close to several mountain communities and outdoor recreation. The cabin is only 4 miles to Lake Glenville, 9 miles to Cashiers, 20 miles to Highlands and 20 miles to Sylva. The home is situated on a 2.5 acre lot in the Nantahala National Forest on Pilot Mountain. There are year round long range mountain views off the back deck and sounds of running water from Trout Creek can be heard below.

The space
The main level provides an open floor plan with the kitchen and breakfast bar opening up to the dining and living rooms. There are many large windows and a set of french doors that look out at the beautiful mountain views and Nantahala Forest. A stone wood burning fireplace is the focal point in the living and is complemented well by the beautiful surrounding pine walls. The entire home has hardwood floors that add to the home's mountain charm.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The primary bedroom is situated on the main level and is furnished with King bed. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are located on the second floor. One bedroom is furnished with a hickory style Queen bed and the third room with 2 sets of bunk beds, 1 bunked and 1 split as two singles.

There is a pack-n-play and highchair available as well.

The partially covered deck runs along the length of the house with plenty of seating and views of the mountains. There is also a covered carport that is perfect for extended outdoor entertaining and games.

IMPORTANT WINTER NOTES:
It doesn't snow much in Glenville, but when it does snow or if the roads ice you can not get to the cabin, or if you're at the cabin you can not leave until the ice on the roads thaw. The road to the cabin from the main road is not guaranteed to be plowed or salted.

Other things to note
Small children are welcome, but please keep in mind the house is on the side of a mountain and there isn't a grassy lawn area to play but there is a very large driveway area. The edge of the driveway has a steep dropoff and could be dangerous for children if unattended.

We have a Ring doorbell for security purposes that records those entering the home. There are no recording devices inside of the home.

The space
The cottage has a comfy king bed with a full bath downstairs and a queen bed with half bath in the cozy upstairs loft. Enjoy a full kitchen with all of the essentials. The tall a-frame ceiling, open floor plan, and large windows fill the space with natural light and create a sense of being up in the trees. Experience amazing views of the Smokies and our seasonal gardens from a spacious wrap around porch.

Guest access
You’ll have the entire cottage to yourself, including a large wrap around porch and your own parking spot. Feel free to hike around the property, check in on the hen house, and explore the gardens.

We have a rugged mountain driveway that is best achieved with an all wheel drive vehicle, but any car can do it with a little instruction. Detailed instructions of how to navigate the drive will be provided at check-in. It’s an authentic mountain experience! And the best way to get to the views :)

If you must bring a service pet, please notify us when you book. We require an extra cleaning fee of $150 to do a thorough clean of the cabin.

Cozy at the Smokies ! This is nestled in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest. This cozy 1000 sq ft cottage has been beautifully updated. Whether you are escaping to the Smokies to enjoy the best hiking the Southeastern United States has to offer, rafting the rapids, riding The Tail of the Dragon, or fishing and boating Lake Santeetlah, this cottage is for you. After a fun day, enjoy watching the sunset over the mountains in the hot tub on the large porch.

Indoor Living:
Main Spaces:
The space is open enough to feel very spacious yet the footprint keeps this area intimate. In the main living spaces, you will find a living room with an electric fireplace, desk, smart tv, comfy leather couches, and a "music corner"-record player and records for your enjoyment along with a guitar you may play. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs and includes: toaster, microwave, coffee maker (drip and pod), refrigerator with ice trays, plastic and glassware, crockpot, and smoothie blender. Our wooden dining table seats 4 and is a throw back to the days when we sat around our Grandmother's wooden dining table. It overlooks our "wall of windows" so dining inside still feels like you are outside. Lastly, there's a daybed in the main living space. This area is perfect for reading a book, enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the wildlife outside, or even taking a nap.
Bedrooms:
The cottage bedrooms are cozy and offer a high level of comfort after a long day discovering everything our area has to offer. Both bedrooms contain a Queen size bed, fan, dresser, closet with hangers, luggage rack for unloading luggage, nightstand, alarm clock, extra blankets, outside views.

Bathroom:
The bathroom offers a shower/tub combo, storage, plenty of towels, hair dryer, makeup remover towels, plenty of storage.

Outdoor Living:
This cottage truly makes us feel like we are living amongst the trees. It is surrounded by trees and overlooks a beautiful valley. We've seen so many different types of wildlife in the valley! The cottage contains a multi level deck. After a day of hiking, biking, boating, or riding The Dragon, relax on the lower deck in the hot tub. The lower deck also contains two rocking chairs (perfect for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee or watching it set with your favorite beverage.) The lower deck also has space for grilling your favorite meal and enjoying it outside at the dining table.

Basement:
Our basement is located off the bottom deck. It is the standard basement, but it does house a washer and dryer for your convenience. We will provide a small amount of laundry detergent.

Parking:
There is a parking pad and room to park beside the pad in the grass. Please do not park in the road.

Cameras:
There is a camera pointing toward the front door and parking area. There is also a camera pointing toward the stairs on the lower deck. The hot tub is a private space and not on camera. There are no cameras on the inside of the property. We respect your privacy. These cameras are to make sure guests are abiding by our occupancy and pet policy. It is also a safety precaution both for our cottage and our guests.

*The grill works off a propane tank. If you arrive at the property and the tanks have propane, consider it a happy accident! We do not guarantee it upon your arrival. We will provide you with instructions on how to get the tanks swapped during your stay. Please remember to always turn the propane to the close position after use."

We just had our well dug deeper. Unfortunately it has left the steps down from the parking pad to porch mildly messy. Please understand we are working to get this remedied and hopefully on your next stay we will have new steps and a new porch!
