We will definitely be back." - "Can't say enough great things about this property. It's upscale, spacious, well appointed, and a relaxing. Our group was in town for a baseball tournament and this house was the perfect spot for 4 dads and 5, 16 year old boys. The views are truly spectacular. Brandi could not have been better to work with. She was very responsive and super accommodating as our schedule fluctuated with changing game schedules. You can't go wrong booking Brandi's place. - "I stayed there in the end of October, and it was cold at night! There is light and an outlet to plug-in your phone or other plug-in devices, so if I were to go here again, I might bring a space heater. Also, apparently all the stink bugs were out to play and were everywhere in the cabin and elsewhere. Other than that it was quite enjoyable! Being by the river and hearing the river sounds at night is so soothing. I was in Greenville for a conference and was very busy during the day, but I wished I had had the opportunity to spend more time by the water."

Escape to Sticks & Twine Cabin located at the base of Paris Mountain, conveniently located near downtown Travelers Rest, as well as downtown Greenville and Paris Mountain State Park. Awake to the sound of goats and chickens on this working mini farm where you will have three private acres to relax and enjoy. This 60 year old structure has been completely renovated into a one bedroom cabin that has everything you need. It also has a large deck with adirondack chairs and a picnic table, with plenty of space to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon lunch or dinner from the grill. Our cabin has many appeals, being spacious is not one of them. It sleeps 2 comfortably and we have a blow up mattress for 1 extra (and have hosted families of 4 with 2 small children). Nearby, you will find a greenhouse that is yours to peruse and a large fire pit with additional Adirondack chairs, horseshoes, and cornhole. Walk up to the barn to visit your neighbors (the Goats) and give them some provided treats. This property has a lot of history! You will see evidence of the former pool, now greenhouse, and pool house, which is now the cabin, for three estates up on the mountain in the 1960's.
Cyclists flock to this area and from the driveway are known routes up and down the mountain. Paris Mountain State Park and Downtown Travelers Rest are about 4 miles away (10 minute drive), Furman University is about 2 miles (5 minute drive), and Downtown Greenville is about 5 miles away (15 minute drive).
- "Amazing lay out for 2 people. Nice quiet location in the hills not far from the city. The animals were a nice touch (we fed them every chance we had) along with the swing next to the small creek. We will definitely rent again next time we come to Greenville!" - "Great place to stay very nice little short weekend getaway spot very close to everything" - "Me and my little family decided to take a quick trip for the long weekend. We enjoyed this spacious home and the sounds of nature. Our host was so friendly and supplied us with everything we needed and more for our stay. We enjoyed the frozen pizzas left for us in their fridge, it was perfect for when we got in! The place was easy to find, the goats, and chickens were all very welcoming. Despite the thunderstorm that hit us on our last day, the stay was exactly what we all needed."

- "Cute little pods that overlook the Saluda. Exactly as described. Bathrooms were a short walk away, and the area was well lit at night. Katie was quick to respond to any questions. Had a really good time hiking in the area and relaxing by the river. Perfect little getaway. I would say the only con is that this particular pod was basically right next to the road/bridge, so the traffic got a little noisy at times, but it wasn't anything I couldn't tune out. Just wasn't expecting it. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!"

- "Amazing lace to stay. Katie was such a great help with everything. Recommend floating the river. " - "Such a cute spot. It reminds me of going camping when I was younger but you are in a structure with some power. If you stay in the pod in the summer during the day, bring an extra fan. At night we left the side open, our battery operated fan died, and their fan was more than enough. It stayed very cool. During the day it wasn’t though. It’s very close to town, so you can go to town, or do Ubereats or Grubhub. Overall good experience. Went with my husband but would love to take my teenage children and put them some of the other pods."

Room-by-Room:
→ The Bedooms:
Each bedroom was thoughtfully put together to provide a unique sense of relaxation.
Master Loft Retreat: Follow the spiral staircase and immerse yourself in the relaxing open space. A large king bed with stone hues and a subtle pop of color helps to keep you at peace and feel the natural surroundings. Sit before the scenic window in the comfy hanging egg chair and take in the gorgeous views of the woods and pond.
Serene Room: This room with a canopy queen bed gives you the sense of peace and serenity. The pink and white tones of this room are gentle to the eye and your sense of touch will be engaged by the stark difference between the firm metal frame to the soft, textured blanket. Flip the hourglass and hear the slow flow of the beads as time passes by. Cuddle in and forget all your worries - this is a vacation after all!
Cozy Room: This room with a full bed is meant to give you a sense of warmth and coziness. The silky sensation of the blanket, the deep, warm reds, and a black rose to set the tone. Turn off the lights and leave just the lamp on at night to get the full immersive sensation of your own secluded and private space away from the rest of the world.
→ The Living Area:
As you walk in the door, the world greets you in the form of a wooden map. The dining tables are right by the windows underneath hanging electric candles for romantic dinners at night or scenic lunches during the day. The living room has fantastic rust orange notes and natural tones with a small fountain at the corner to relax along the flow of water underneath the wicker light and wrapped in a blanket on the couch. Take in the natural views from the windows or turn on the large TV equipped with major streaming services. If you’re looking for a game night, a jumbo sized connect 4 is available, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, run a game of Yahtzee or other dice game with our jumbo wooden dice - just throw them on the rug and use the markers to keep score!
→ Spa:
- Book a single's or couple's massage during your stay! With a 60-min or 90-min option, our trained massage therapists will arrive at the lodge and set up a relaxing area where you will treat your mind and body to the care it deserves!
→ Outdoors:
- Patio furniture sits underneath the shade of trees in our deck. Once the winter months start to kick in, turn on the pyramid heater* to stay warm and enjoy the glow of the fire out in nature.
- A gas grill* is available for you to fire up your favorite cuts or veggies. You can find the utensils in the kitchen and if you don’t want to clean the grill after you’re done, our cleaners can get it after your check-out for an additional fee - just let us know ahead of time!
*You must review safety operations in the House Manual before use!
Notice that telescope inside? Feel free to use it to see if you can spot any stars. Downloading the Sky App might help you locate constellations and planets! Just make sure you place it back inside =)
→ Kitchen:
A fully equipped kitchen awaits you with all major appliances, dinnerware (including plasticware for kids), small appliances (Keurig Coffee Maker, blender, toaster), and cookware (pots, pans, knives, etc).
→ The Area:
This lodge is in a wooded area right beside a pond and right off the Saluda River. With nature, come little critters. You will run into bugs such as mosquitos, spiders, ants, among others. No refunds will be provided due to experiences with these little animals.
On the Easley side, you can enjoy drinks at the Silos, a creative scene of brewery and food spots. Further down, you will have your classic spread of grocery stores (Walmart, Whole Foods) and all the restaurants you can think of (I'd hit up local spots, but if you must go with a late night snack, go to CookOut and order a Cookout Tray with a Milkshake - thank me later).
On the Greenville side, you will arrive at the Falls on Reedy Park in just 12 minutes. Take the stroll and bring a charged phone - you'll want to take plenty of pictures once you reach the falls right in the middle of downtown! Restaurants and bars line the streets - if you ever need a recommendation, we are a message away!

The space
One of the standout features of this cabin is its perfect blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient proximity to Travelers Rest, Greenville, and Asheville. Nestled in a private, wooded setting, it offers the ideal space to unwind and reconnect with nature — all from the comfort of a wrap-around covered porch. Here, you’re surrounded by serenity but only minutes from your next adventure.
Wildlife lovers, take note: squirrels, raccoons, deer, turtles, and wild turkeys are frequent visitors to the property. Pour a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy the show.
The cabin is thoughtfully designed for easy living, with all essential rooms located on the main floor — including two bedrooms, kitchen, living, and dining areas — while the spacious king bedroom suite with loft sits upstairs. Accessibility is a priority: there’s just one step up to the porch and a gentle half-step into the cabin itself. The main-floor bathroom features an easy-access shower with no tub to step over, while the upstairs suite offers an extra-deep soaking tub — perfect for a relaxing end to your day.
We’re committed to your comfort. Each bedroom is outfitted with blackout curtains, new plush mattresses, luxury linens, and fluffy towels — all in a sparkling clean and welcoming environment.
Love to cook? So do we. Our fully stocked kitchen is ready for everything from quick breakfasts to farm-to-table dinners. You’ll find high-quality cookware, utensils, and essentials to make meal prep a pleasure. We’ve also included a selection of Keurig cups, freshly roasted coffee beans with a grinder and drip brewer, and a variety of teas with an electric kettle for our tea lovers.
We’re honored to share our restful retreat with thoughtful guests like you. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a longer escape, we hope the cabin becomes your home away from home — a quiet place to breathe deep, slow down, and soak in the beauty of the woods.

Other things to note
Even though the cabin setting feels secluded, grocery stores are only minutes away in either Travelers Rest or Greenville. A convenience store (gas and mini grocery) is just over a mile from the cabin. Whatever you need to purchase to enhance your visit is close by.
Occasional power outages happen on the mountain due to weather. Duke Power Company is very reliable to restore power as soon as possible. You are booking knowing power outages might happen.
Bugs happen in the woods. We have regular professional pest service for the cabin and deck. A through check for insects is completed on the day of check in. It’s never been an issue for anyone staying at the cabin, but we do want our guests to be aware of the possibility. You are booking knowing you might encounter insects.
One thing our cabin does not allow, this is NOT a festive gathering location. If this is your desire, this is not the party cabin for you. There are security cameras installed outside of the cabin for the protection of our property.
** We have exterior security cameras by the front door, back door and the back side of the wrap around porch. These monitor the doors, driveway and blind side porch designed to maintain your privacy while maintaining exterior security.
