Watch the daily deer & fawn parade, or the swallowtails happily fluttering from flowering tree to flowering bush on this 1.79-acre property. Bunnies, squirrels, and turtles are also residents and birds are abundant. An easy .5-mile hike down to the Eno River on a lovely, wooded path is just one of many walks in this friendly neighborhood. Durham is the perfect destination for exploring historical sights, biking, kayaking, bird watching, pickleball, golf, fine and casual dining and to enjoy boutique shopping downtown. It is only 1.7 miles to area restaurants, Starbucks, Grocery and Drug Stores. The Cottage was built in 1951 and has been recently updated to feel fresh and new. The front porch, yard and garden are also welcoming and provide additional spaces to relax.

Surrounded by nature nestled in the trees and only 1/10 of a mile from the Rolling View Rec Area gates. Bring your boat, bring your bikes, bring your fishing pole and don't forget your swim suit! Hiking trails are a plenty with the "Sea to Mountain Trail" running directly behind the property and lots of other trails at Rolling View. Rent boats, paddle boards and canoes at Rolling View Marina. When the day is done come back and relax in the saltwater hot tub or hang out on the best screened porch ever!

The cottage has an open floor plan. Where the kitchen can see the living area and the dining area and living and dining areas can see the kitchen, but not a direct view from the dining to the living area. So...open but separate.

The kitchen has a huge island where folks can gather around and still be out of the kitchen action. It is fully equipped to make a gourmet meal with enough counter space for the Chef, the Sous Chef and the Bartender.

The game room is a multifunctional area. It can serve as a quiet area to curl up and read or watch a movie. It can be high action with one of the many games available. It can also be a place to set up your computer on the desk and get some work done.

Each bedroom boasts a high quality premium mattress. Hotel quality sheets, various pillows and layers of covers to snuggle up in. Reading lamps, charging cubes and sound machine are all close by on the bedside table. With room darkening curtains and overhead fan, there is nothing to get in the way of a good nights sleep. Empty closets (except for your robes) with plenty of hangers and empty dressers, so you will have lots of room to store your clothes and belongings.

Each bathroom has 4 sets of large luxurious towels. Soaps, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer are all available. You will also find plenty of toilet paper and extra toiletries.

Last but not least the screened porch. A 450 sq' outdoor living room with the most comfortable chair swings, a twin size swinging bed and multiple other seating choices. The locally made table and benches comfortably seat 6. A 64" ceiling fan and recessed lighting only add to the experience. Grab your cup of coffee, sit in the chair swing and watch the sun rise. I promise you will leave with a bad case of porch envy...lol

This is a rural area. So drive slowly the chickens may be crossing the road. There is lots of wildlife and woods to see and explore. Folks out here are quiet and friendly, but pretty much keep to themselves. Nights are full of stars, sounds of crickets and the occasional owl. Rob and I are building our forever home next-door 450 ft. away. It will be completed in the summer of 2023. That’s how much we love it out here. You will need a car and the grocery store is 5 miles away. Downtown Durham is 11 miles away. Downtown Raleigh is 16.1 miles away.

This 1949 Spartan Aircraft Trailer is a post-war slice of Americana. There’s just a feeling of connecting to the simpler things in life, and a connection to an era gone by. Detail and quality were at the forefront of manufacturing in the USA during this time at the dawn of the 50’s. It’s a surviving trailer, 80% original. Some modern upgrades and updating have been done but you are very much stepping straight into the past when you enter this Spartan and it’s rural residential surroundings.

Individual use enclosed locking Toilet and Shower Facilities are outdoors, in shared spaces. The common area also includes a Fire Pit, Picnic Tables, Gas Grill, and Laundry Room. The Back Yard setting has strung lighting above and walking paths. The camper itself has running water at the kitchen sink. Please remember you’re camping. the camper is equipped with a dual hot plate, Convection Oven, and small Refrigerator. Some closets and cabinets are empty for guest to use. We are working on restoring this survivor in between guests so it’s not perfect yet, but already has great vibes :-)

Parking is off street on a private drive that leads to the campers.

The neighborhood is Rural Residential meaning we are close to downtown Durham. but with the feeling of being in a rural area with neighbors a stones throw away. The neighbors are a wide variety of folks who are nice and helpful, but little to no interaction with the neighbors is likely. We are within a five minute drive to the Durham city center with theaters, breweries, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, live music venues, and all services. We are about 20min from RDU Airport, 15min from RTP, 10 min to Duke Hospital and Campus.

Uber is available, and Durham DATA bus line runs out front of the main house.

I’ve had years of extensive allergy shots and been allergic my whole life with swelling eyes, sinus infections and shortness of breath due to spaces where animals have been. The air-conditioned vacation home consists of 3 bedrooms, 4 living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a kettle, and 2 bathrooms with a bath and bathrobes. Towels and bed linen are provided in the vacation home. The accommodation is non-smoking. Duke University is 1.9 miles from the vacation home, while Crabtree Valley Mall Shopping Center is 20 miles away. Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 16 miles from the property.

Rural Residential Camping in a 1967 Scotty Camper! It’s a Vintage Survivor that has a cool vibe. We have built a common bathroom and enclosed outdoor shower for the camper guests to use. Free common area Laundry Room is open 10am-10pm. This camper does not have a kitchen, only a toaster oven, coffee maker and small fridge. It does have Wi-fi, outdoor gas grill with a gas cooktop range on the side. The fire pit is for all to enjoy.

Our back yard space is becoming a cool little retro campground with a 50’s - 60‘s flare. Fire pit and patio with furniture. A shower with nice hot water and a common bathroom are for the camping guests to use. Free to use Laundry Room and outdoor gas grill. The camper has a Toaster Oven, Fridge, Roku, TV, AC, and Heater.

I’m sorry to have to announce this, but no animals can be in this space. I am very allergic to cats and dogs. I’ve had years of extensive allergy shots and been allergic my whole life with swelling eyes, sinus infections and shortness of breath due to spaces where animals have been. Thank you in advance for understanding and respecting my condition. I love animals despite not being able to enjoy them fully. and NO SMOKING in or around the camper!
I am available via text if you have an iPhone and What's App using my phone number even if I'm traveling abroad. I am a touring musician and am reachable most of the time unless I'm on stage. If you don't have an iPhone and don't use What's App, the Air BnB messing is the next best way to reach me. We are in a typical old-school southern rural residential area on the outskirts of Durham, NC. 10 min from Duke Hospital, 20 min to Airport and 30min from Raleigh. Chapel Hill and Hillsborough Are each 20 min drive as well. We are 5 min drive from all things downtown Durham and one mile from a Wal-Mart & Dollar-Tree Plaza.

Each Camper has one assigned parking space not next to the campers, but off-street out front of the main house.

Shared Facilities: The large individual use enclosed Shower is Outdoors with Hot Water, Large Mirror, and Good Vibes is located on the porch of the nearby Cottage about 20 feet from the Camper. I recommend a Robe to walk to and from shower. Please check the photos of this space. The Bathroom with Toilet and Vanity are in a separate space than the shower and also shown in the photos. The Laundry Room is in a room at the back of the main house and is also shared by the camping guests between 10am & 10pm. There is a Gas Grill and a Fire Pit, Picnic Tables and Patio in the Common Area between the Campers. You will see dogs, cats and typical North Carolina insects as you are “camping” :-)
Please clean up after yourself. That means everything. When you leave it should be as clean as when you stepped in. We still have to wash and change the linens, sanitize, and check everything. You are borrowing our camper, if something gets broken we need to know immediately so it can be addressed before the next guest. Please be mindful that this is not a hotel with maids cleaning up after you. It’s very important that you keep the space tidy and respect the age of the camper 1967. Please treat things gentile and with respect so all can enjoy. I’m sorry to announce that we can’t host any animals. I have bad allergic reactions to animals and spent years getting allergy shots, taking medicine, etc. I love animals, but cannot host them.
