Crane's Coastal Cottage is located in Sunset Beach, just 15 miles from Aberdeen Country Club and 17 miles from Alabama Theater. The vacation home has access to a restaurant. The property offers a children's playground and outdoor furniture. The air-conditioned vacation home is composed of 3 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, and 2 bathrooms. Towels and bed linen are offered in the vacation home. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Guests at the vacation home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Sunset Beach, like cycling. A baby safety gate is also available for guests at Crane's Coastal Cottage. Barefoot Resort Norman Golf Course is 17 miles from the accommodation, while Barefoot Landing is 18 miles from the property. Myrtle Beach International Airport is 37 miles away.

FLIP FLOPS & FLAMINGOS

Located in Shoreline Woods, one mile from the beach, we offer a comfortable cottage surrounded by trees in a quiet waterway community. The house is on the mainland; to gain access to the beach, there is a free public parking area next to the pier and a larger "pay-to-park" lot beside it. We currently offer a free parking pass, but this is subject to change. Once your toes hit the sand, you can stroll the wide beach, walk to the Kindred Spirits Mailbox, fish from the pier or just sit, relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Dogs less than 20 pounds and house-trained are welcome for a nominal pet fee of $100. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the cottage. There is no maid or linen service; we ask you to provide your own bed linens, towels and wash cloths. All cleaning supplies are provided so that you can perform the exit cleaning, which is part of keeping rates reasonable. The cottage has an energy saving HVAC system; the cooling system low is 72 degrees and the heating system high is 76 degrees. Ceiling fans and blankets are present to help with any temperature extremes.

The cottage features 3 bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds; plus, a queen sleeper sofa) and 2 full bathrooms. There is a renovated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, an extended countertop with two stools, and a washer / dryer. The great room has a cathedral ceiling and Smart TV and is open to the dining room featuring a table and 6 chairs. The backyard has a deck with gas grill and a fenced in patio area, with additional seating and two chaise lounge chairs. Deck boxes are filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards, beach toys and sand buckets. Perhaps the best part of the cottage is the screened-in front porch; great for enjoying an early morning breakfast, an afternoon happy hour or listening to the rain at midnight.

The cottage is the perfect location to serve as home base for excursions to Calabash (the Seafood Capital of the World), historic Southport, neighboring beaches in NC and SC (Ocean Isle, Emerald Isle, Holden Beach, Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach), dozens of golf courses, the planetarium, and a multitude of specialty shops and restaurants. There are also two bicycles if you just want to cruise around the neighborhood.

The Coastal Cottage is a family-owned second home that we hope our guests will enjoy. We are not a rental agency or a property management company. We are not currently offering monthly rentals with reservations limited to no more than two weeks. We ask that guests be married, accompanied by a parent or over 25 years old. We want you to have an amazing time on your visit to Sunset and will be happy to make recommendations if asked.

Panacea is a mid-island, pet and family friendly cottage on the quiet end of Sunset Beach. A short three minute walk gets you to the beach, over the elevated boardwalk that allows views into the expansive dunes that serve as home to deer, rabbits and sea turtle nests. Throw down your beach towel and enjoy one of the widest beaches on the east coast at low tide with great puddles to lounge, splash or build sand castles. Turn to the right towards Bird Island to find the fabled Kindred Spirit mailbox and leave your own message and continue on to explore the rock jetty that lines the inland waterway. Or turn to the left and you're headed toward the pier, great for people watching and getting an old fashioned orange sherbet push-up treat.
Panacea has been updated with modern but not too fussy beach décor throughout, with open floor plan and spacious bedrooms creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Bedroom One has a king bed, two night stands, dresser, TV and bench. Bedroom Two has a queen bed flanked by nightstands, dresser and mirror, bench and wing chair. Bedroom Three has queen bed, dresser, and side chair. Bedroom Four is the twin bedroom with a chest of drawers also serving as a night stand, TV and full length mirror. The living area has a full sized couch with recliners on the ends, recliner love seat and a single reclining chair (sounds like a lot of relaxing going on!). End tables and coffee table provide a convenient place for your favorite snack or beverage. The dining table seats 6 but can be expanded with extra leaf stored in twin bedroom closet, extra seating with four stools at the bar. The kitchen has all the expected appliances--fridge, oven range, dishwasher, microwave. Mr Coffee Maker and Keurig, electric can opener, 4 slot toaster/bagel, toaster oven all available. The laundry area houses the washer, dryer, expandable drying rack, broom, dust pan (all you need since housekeeping is included!) with board games and puzzles on the shelf. The back deck sports love seat, chairs and a picnic table. The large front porch with plenty of seating (2 loveseats, 4 chairs, 2 coffee tables and two chair high bistro table set for morning coffee) is the perfect place to gather and enjoy those that matter most.
Under the house provides shaded parking but if you back your cars out a little sidewalk chalk can create a space for budding artists or a game of hop-scotch. The outside shower has a bench, hooks for towels and a hand-held shower head with great water pressure. A bin MAY have boogie boards, rafts, beach chairs and a variety of sand toys and a fat tired aluminum wagon with fishing pole holders will make it easy to cart whatever you want to the beach, just be sure to go down to the 40th street access (no steps). And after a day on the beach if you want to cook out, a 3 burner propane gas grill is at the ready for burgers, steak or whatever you caught fishing.

This Panacea is a definite cure for those needing some R&R!

Interior amenities include cable TV, free WIFI, three TVs, DVD player and CD player/stereo. Linens are included. We were ahead of the game as far as safety/sanitizing by having a UV filter added to our HVAC system several years ago.

Outside offers a 3 burner propane gas grill, sundeck, covered parking, outdoor shower, and covered porch. This home is pet friendly - so bring your best friends! Gates at the top of the steps ensure child and pet security.

'Unforgettable' beach cottage is a beautifully decorated and updated 4 bedroom 2 bath house. We are located on the desirable west end of the island only four houses back from ocean front! You can see the beach access from our cottage. It is shown in one of our pictures taken from our cottage. It is not so crowded here on the west end. We are not near the crowded pier area where all the people come from town to park and go to the beach. We have just completed our new high rise deck with wonderful views of the ocean, sunset and sunrise. We have also added a gate with a lock on it for safety. We have one of the few cottages that has a paved driveway which is great for the kids feet! We have a large area under cottage to relax in the chairs or for kids to run around. Our cottage has high end furniture, designer bedding and quality mattresses to make sure you wake up feeling great after a good night sleep. The kitchen is fully stocked so that you can prepare quick snacks for the beach or a gourmet meal. There are ceiling fans throughout to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each bedroom has its own TV and DVR and there is also a TV and DVR in the den area. If you prefer to be outside, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise on our screened front porch, complete with rocking chairs and picnic table, or have a cold drink and watch the sunset off the back deck.

Outside we have a large shower and changing area, two picnic tables, paved driveway, a fenced back yard and gas grill.

This beach rental allows you to check in Sunday and depart Sunday. We think this really helps with all the traffic on the highway and it is not so crowed at the grocery stores. It also gives you a day to pack if you work. We hope this will work for you.

Sunset Beach is located on the southernmost barrier island on the North Carolina coastline. It is a peaceful three mile long island with wide powdery white sand beaches that is unspoiled by commercial development. Sunset Beach is widely viewed as one of the cleanest, family oriented beaches on the east coast. Its white sandy beaches are a great place to sunbathe, walk, ride a bike, jog or just sit and relax while watching the boats and the dolphins come and go. Bird Island is also located on the west end of the island. Bird Island is a pristine, undeveloped 1300 acre state preserve that is home to loggerhead turtles and the Purple Sandpiper found only on Bird Island. This end of the beach is very spacious, quiet and peaceful and provides absolutely stunning unobstructed views of the ocean, marsh and the beautiful sunsets for which Sunset is known.

Sunset is centrally located providing easy access to Calabash, 'The Seafood Capital of the World', just two miles away, where you can feast on the local seafood, buy fresh shrimp off of one of the shrimp boats or charter a boat and catch your own dinner. North Myrtle Beach is just 15 miles away, Myrtle Beach 25 miles away and historic Wilmington is approximately 45 miles away. You can catch a world class show in one of the many theaters in Myrtle Beach or you can tour a battleship in Wilmington. For the shopper there are endless opportunities including Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach and two Tanger Outlet centers. If golfing is your thing the area is also considered the 'Golf Capital of the World'. Sea Trail, The Thistle, Lions Paw, Tigers Eye, Panthers Run, Crow Creek, Oyster Bay, The Pearl and Sandpiper are just some of the courses within 15 minutes of Sunset Beach.

"Welcome to a Family and Pet-Friendly Retreat on Sunset Beach's West End!

Discover one of the oldest homes on the island, an inviting and budget-friendly rustic cottage nestled in the heart of Sunset Beach, NC's popular west end. This charming home, situated mid-block, offers a cozy living area and a dining room that comfortably accommodates six adult guests. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a four-seat breakfast bar and an additional dining area. For entertainment, there's a TV and DVD player in the living room, as well as another TV in one of the bedrooms.

The house boasts a total of four bedrooms, each connected to a Jack and Jill bathroom. Two of the bedrooms feature Queen-beds, while the other two offer a Double bed and a twin bed, making it ideal for two young families sharing the space. If you prefer outdoor relaxation, you can sip your morning coffee on the front porch or lounge on the side deck in the afternoon. Our beach bikes maybe old but they are fully functional and great for touring the island. With seating under the house and a great outdoor shower, you're welcome to come and go as you please. COVID-19 related: We're taking every precaution to deep clean and disinfect the house before and after your stay, including all handles, knobs and hand held devices.
