Opened Sat. but they didn’t give us white wristbands for the pool during check-in so we had to go back & get it. Slow internet on tv. Password doesn’t work. Watched Netflix some when it worked. Place has metal chairs at small table & trashcan for trash. Porch dirty. Barely any parking places. Shells & rocks in beach water. Can hurt! Bed a little comfy. Wooden floor hurt my son’s feet every time he walked in it. Hotels & another site advertised this cabin but it says board games, Starbucks coffee, game room, & hot cocoa...but you get none of those! - "The cabins are very quaint and super charming. They are super clean which I appreciated. The in-room a/c unit was noisy but once we stopped the rotation of the fan unit, the noise stopped. The wifi was not working. We happened to have a coveted shared patio area which was lovely. My concern would be that, since it is one of the only patio areas for the site, it could easily be overcrowded and noisy. The cabins are quite close together which would be another concern I would have should the area be full. The pool was under repair- hopefully that will be finished by the summer. The beach area needs a lot of work. Not particularly inviting nor easy to access. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. Very steep. The dock area which is undergoing repair would be a potential hazard for kids. Not sure it's blocked off enough for curious kids (we got thru). Would be an amazing place for 3-5 families if you have access to water devices (boats, jet skis, etc). "

- "Horrible experience. My family and I stayed here for a family vacation to celebrate the 4th. Upon arriving to the property we were put in a house that had the AC broken knowing that we had three small children and this was not an option for us. They did make accommodations and move us into another house which is the only good thing I have to say about this trip. A few hours after arriving to the property my family and I went out to eat, only to come back to our other vehicle being missing as the property had it towed. The pass provided was in the windshield and we have time stamped photos proving it was there yet no accommodations were made to right the situation. The vehicle was towed at the request of the property not at random from tow company. Lastly, on the night of the 4th we were unable to sleep as there were several officers and paramedics out to the property past midnight for several disturbances that they were unable to get under control. Overall we had a terrible experience from beginning to end and will not be back. "

This 1990 cabin was completely renovated in the spring of 2018. The brand new kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and all the cookware needed for a fabulous meal.
There are 2 private queen bedrooms, 1 on each level. The loft area has both a twin and a queen. There are two additional inflatable mattresses.
The home has two full baths and a washer and dryer.
As great as the inside of the home is, the main attraction is the large porch facing the lake and the brand new dock. If you are traveling with your own boat, the home has its own private launch. And when you have had your fill of boating, relax on the dock or play a game of horseshoes.

Our cabin, Overlook, rests on the main channel of Lake Wylie, yet is tucked inside a sheltered bay. It is the closest proximity to Charlotte of any lake in NC. In 20 minutes you can be downtown and 15 minutes to the airport! There are fabulous restaurants, shopping and other amenities within a 10 minute drive. We have a fully stocked kitchen with all the cookware wine glasses etc that you will need for your stay. The 180 degree lake view oriented due west provides some exquisitely dramatic sunsets. You can relax and unwind while you watch amazing scenery from the patio, the covered porch, hammock or dock.

The house has tongue and grove wood paneling throughout, even on the ceilings of the den and dining room. It has recently been updated, but the original "lake cabin" feel has been kept. It has the feel of privacy and seclusion.

You will love the beach! It is perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. The "bay" offers a safe swimming environment, being indented into the shoreline, feel comfortable and confident that your loved ones are safe from boat traffic. You will have access to a canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board to launch out on an adventure from the beach.

Upon entering, you will find the cabin to be clean and well kept. We take great pride in this! You will have clean sheets, clean kitchen, and house so you won't need to worry about bringing anything but yourself!

Like something out of "Southern Living” magazine, this original 1950 cabin has been completely restored. It's very rare because it is only 12 feet from the waters edge and you can no longer build that close to the shoreline. We used reclaimed artifacts from the original cabin whenever possible. It's rustic yet has all of the modern conveniences. The view of the lake is simply amazing....there is a 240 degree water view around the cabin.

There are decks galore. Right off the kitchen is the large side deck. On the lower level is the large deck overlooking the lake. There is an expansive deck off the back of the cabin right up to the waters edge and there is also a dry deck below the side deck with plenty of outdoor furniture to relax, even when the weather is not cooperating.

You also have unlimited use of our kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and you are welcome to bring your own boat if you like. And if you would like to rent a pontoon for the day or a full week, we can arrange for that.

Located on Lake Wylie, we are a short 25 minutes from Charlotte Douglas Airport, 30 minutes to Uptown Charlotte, and 35 minutes to South Park and Ballantyne areas.

My place is 15 miles from the Charlotte airport, 10 miles from Carowinds and 6 miles from Charlotte Premium Outlet on I-485. It is only a little further to downtown Charlotte and the Carolina Panthers stadium. It has a great sunset view over Lake Wylie. It is very private and quite, but has nearby amenities like restaurants, shopping and good recreation. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the proximity to Charlotte and the wonderful wide lake view.

"Overlook" rests on the main channel of Lake Wylie. The 180 degree lake view oriented west for exquisitely dramatic sunsets. Relax and unwind while you watch amazing scenery from the patio, the covered porch, hammock or dock. The beach is perfect for kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. Downtown Charlotte is a mere 50-minute drive, while a 90-minute trip takes you to Asheville for a delightful day of exploration.

✔ Riverbend Park: Riverbend Park is a scenic park located along the Catawba River, just a few miles from downtown Catawba. The park offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and a playground for families to enjoy.

✹ PARKING: Free parking is available for 3 vehicles in the large driveway.

✹ Wi-Fi/INTERNET: Even though it's a secluded property, we do have free high-speed internet! Starlink was installed in Jun-24 and it works great.

✹ FAMILY: Traveling with little ones? We’ve got you covered with a few supplies, including a Pack & Play/travel crib, a high chair, and baby gates.

✹ PETS: Pets are allowed with a $150 one-time pet fee with a maximum of two pets. This is a pet-friendly property, so please do not book if someone in your group has a pet allergy.

✹ WATERCRAFT: We have a one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and two stand-up paddle boards available guest use. We also have life jackets of various sizes from adult to small child.

✹ DOCK: Our private dock is great for those that love the water, but for boaters, we do want to make sure you know ahead of time that (a) there isn't any electricity on the dock, (b) the boat lift doesn't work at this time (both of these items are on our to-do list!), and (c) the water depth averages 3.5 feet between May 1 and Sep 10 (boating season) and can vary greatly based on the lake water level. Please be sure your boat works well at that depth.

✹ RENTAL AGREEMENT: Please note that we do require signature of our rental agreement/liability waiver within 48 hours after booking.

Private, quiet, peaceful lake cabin on corner lot with amazing views and water frontage! Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and sunsets from the dock or the quaint three bedroom cabin with a lovely great room and indoor fire place for the cooler months.

This cabin is located in close proximity to the Charlotte Panthers Stadium, NASCAR races, and many North Carolina Vineyards.

The space
Our home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac down a private quiet gravel street within a 10 minute drive of Lake Norman State Park (see below for additional detail). Tremendous water views on 2 sides of the property with beautiful sunsets from the deck or dock. Both an outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows by the water and an indoor fire place for the chilly nights.

The main living/dining area is spacious with vaulted ceilings & 2 sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Deck has beautiful, but private views of the lake due to gorgeous old trees. We have a matching green sofa, love-seat, an over-sized chair for comfortable seating. Although there is no formal dining area, we have ample outdoor seating and a nice long bar setup inside.

The Kitchen is small but fully stocked as if you wish to prepare your own meals. The Kitchen has relatively new sink, stove, microwave, and fridge. The Kitchen does not a dishwasher.

There are 3 bedrooms (two queens & one bunk bed) with 2 full baths. The bedrooms are situated on the back end of the house.

Outdoors, we have a charcoal grill for cookouts.

Bring your own boat or jet ski or rent from one of the locals marinas. Some life jackets & swim toys/floats are provided.

We hope that you will enjoy our home but if you need to venture out we are only 20 minutes to Mooresville with a vast array of shopping, restaurants, & activities for the entire family.

Lake Norman State Park is within 10 minutes of our home and includes a popular mountain biking network, a swim beach, boat ramp for fishing and sports, a family campground, restrooms and fireplace.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, driveway, yard, and dock.

Two Kayaks made available for an additional fee.

Renter / Lessee waive and assume risk and will release owner from all liability for injuries which may result from participation in use of the property or physical activity. Examples of such activities could include swimming. By agreeing to rent our home through Airbnb, the renter / lessee acknowledges the risks and dangers associated with the activity.

Just a few steps away this completely restored 1950’s cabin is like something out of a "Southern Living” magazine! Only 12 feet from the shoreline the cabin is where nostalgia meets modern convenience. With floor to ceiling windows take in the lake view from the cozy rustic cabin that has today's amenities.

The cabin provides 2 bedroom, 2 baths and an additional sleeping space downstairs. It’s the perfect place to make memories that will last a lifetime.

You have unlimited use of our kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and you are welcome to bring your own boat if you like. And if you would like to rent a pontoon for the day or a full week, we can arrange for that as well.

We are pet friendly; however, we need to limit the size of dogs to 30 lbs. and there is a small pet fee.

Guests will have access to the entire property. There are 2 separate docks, a gazebo over the water and multiple decks around the property.
