Historic NEWLY RENOVATED Apartment Right ON The Virginia Creeper Trail Overlooking The Holston River. Apartment location is the entire second floor. No need to drive to the trail. You are on it!! Just step out the door and get on your bike. Just a few steps away across the spacious parking area is the Holston River with a Gazebo for picnics by the water. Fantastic Restaurants in both Abingdon and Damascus. Make sure to visit The Barter Theatre while you are in town.

Beautifully renovated space in Historic Alvarado. The space features a brand new King size bed with luxurious linens... super comfy and cozy! There is a flat screen TV in the bedroom perfectly positioned to watch if you want to lounge around and catch a good movie. On the other side of the bedroom is a cozy chair to relax in and read a good book. A large 2nd level private porch awaits you just outside your bedroom door. Great to watch the river, the bikes riding by, and the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while listening to the sounds of tree frogs in the distance.
The second Flat Screen TV is in the living room along with the comfortable oversized leather sofa, loveseat and ottoman. All TV's have access to most streaming services and Netflix. Terrific WIFI and boosted cell phone signal is included at this property. If you feel the need to get some work done while you are here, by all means, bring your laptop!
The spa inspired bathroom has been newly renovated and includes big fluffy towels, Shampoo, conditioner and soaps. The Kitchen includes a cute shabby chic farm table for 2, A small stove, Mini fridge, Microwave, Keurig coffee, plenty of snacks,and bottled water.

- "Then you'll definitely want to spend some time in this lovely, well designed and comfortable home that feels quite spacious. Attractive flower boxes and a picnic table under outdoor lights grace the outside. Several steep, narrow stairs lead to the loft over the kitchen area. The loft has a very comfortable queen size bed and although the ceiling was too low for me to sit up in bed, the twin skylights there allow for night time stargazing. Bedside lamps and recessed lighting plus multiple windows make this room a comfortable place to relax. The built-in sofa could be a 3rd person sleeping area although 1 or 2 is probably the most you'd want if the weather was poor. This sofa had a pullout drawer underneath with cushions/tray that could be used as an ottoman or coffee table. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and my wife regretted not planning to prepare more meals with the beautiful 3 burner gas range and oven. A very compete spice rack, exceptional Japanese all purpose knife, cast iron skillet, high end local olive oil and balsamic vinegar, lovely pots/pans/mixing bowls were just a few of the thoughtful touches in this area. We discovered a wonderful pullout butcher block cutting board that added significant workspace to the kitchen. Also pleased to discover a roomy drawer style frig next to the box freezer. Deep red handmade pottery plates and bowls, large coffee mugs, heavy glassware and silverware were a pleasure to use. The bathroom was small as you would expect in a tiny house but had a perfectly serviceable shower with a very nice magnetic hand held shower head and sufficient pressure. The bathroom sink had a smart shallow design which allowed for better storage underneath. An oversized mirror in the bathroom cleverly slide from over the toilet to over the sink as desired. The toilet was a little smelly - I expect related to the necessary septic or other waste system, but did not affect the environment in the rest of the house. Extra thick and plush bath towels were provided in addition to better quality organic toiletries. This home has beautiful wood throughout and tasteful decorations reflecting the Abingdon area - neither sparse nor cluttered. We especially liked the natural dried floral wreath. A most enjoyable stay - we would have loved more info on the creation of this home and details on its design and waste systems. Hosts were very responsive to our questions and requests for info/advice."

The newly completed space is setup perfectly to be used how you need it. With blazing fast Fiber internet, it's great for anyone working remotely.
You'll have a great view of the backyard while sitting at the dining/work table. While the space is cozy and comfortable, we do welcome you to explore the backyard. There are a couple of creekside locations that make for a relaxing morning/afternoon just soaking in the sounds. You may see a Blue and/or Green Heron in the creek, owls, otters, groundhogs, deer, etc. Enjoy! There are two ways to access the Virginia Creeper Trail from our property dependent on your intended destination: Abingdon or Alvarado(Winery: 5miles)/Damascus.

We recently spent a year renovating this third story apartment. We have provided the best options on all the items that matter most for a perfect get away! The bedroom has a king size bed, large dresser and a leather chair to recline and relax in.
The bathroom has a private toilet room, large mirror and a double head walk in shower. Washer and Dryer available for use during your stay. The living room has a comfortable large couch with a smart TV. The couch has a fold out queen bed with bedding provided. The windows in the livingroom are all original stained glass and a piece of art themselves! Keypad entry into your apartment.
The kitchen is fully furnished with small appliances, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer.
