Currently the turret houses the dining room downstairs and the Anna Suite upstairs.The music room is now Dr. Filiz's consultation and treatment room. She does see some patients Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Her services would also be available to book for you. She is a Doctor of Oriental and Functional Medicine, licensed in NC and FL.

A new window A/C unit will keep you cool on those occasional humid summer nights. The Acorn space includes a private deck area as well as a shared deck & fire pit/stone patio area. This area brings together all the guests to hang out by a fire and enjoy a good local beer! There is a shared laundry room that is used by all guests and a gas BBQ grill that can be used by all guests. The "Squirrel's Nest" treehouse is also a space you can hang out in, but it does require climbing up a ladder steps with good handles.

Other things to note
The upstairs of the main house, "Cozy Oak Cottage", is also listed as an Airbnb rental. The lower level "Bear Den" apartment is where I live with my friendly Chihuahua, Bandit.

The space

Our little cottage guesthouse (560sqft) is tucked away in the suburban Oakley neighborhood of Asheville. Custom-built features make this cozy-small-space special and functional.

PLEASE NOTE: Construction is happening across the street starting April 1, 2023. You may hear construction noise during weekdays with possible traffic interruptions.

The bottom level is light-filled with a fully-stocked modern kitchen and bar seating. Coffee and tea provided. The living area has a loveseat sofa with a pull-out single bed. The bathroom is downstairs including heated floors and a standing tile shower with bench. The ceilings are at 7ft.

The metal spiral staircase leads to an open-floor loft bedroom with firm memory foam, queen-sized mattress. This staircase is steep and can be challenging to use if you are big, tall, or have any type of mobility issues (e.g., knee or hip pain). Also upstairs is a height-adjustable desk with chair, dressing area and space to spread out. The mattress is an extra firm memory foam mattress. Extra blankets, towels, and pillows available in the white dresser.

**Please note that the spiral staircase is the only way to access the upstairs and you should feel comfortable navigating this staircase if booking our place. If you are big and/or tall or have mobility issues this could be a challenge. Dogs usually will not/cannot walk on it as the staircase is steep and narrow.

Pets are welcome that are 100% house trained, on flea medication and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Please bring your own bedding for pets and if they will get on the sofa, please cover with your own blankets to protect furniture from ware and smell. No puppies please. Pet fee is included in your rental price as long as they have been added to the reservation.

The cottage is listed as a “guesthouse” which means it is behind another house. The cottage has separate parking plus shared yard space.

If you are here in spring or fall, you may encounter some stink bugs. They are a severe nuisance in many states including NC. They are mostly just annoying and are a part of life here in Asheville. :)

Guest access
During your stay, you are welcome to full use of the cottage and adjacent yard. It’s possible that the tenant in the front house may also use the shared yard space while you’re visiting. The tenant also has a dog and cat.

Please ALWAYS clean up after your pet in the yard.

Other things to note
There is one other house on the property (tenants with a dog and cat live in the front house) and you have separate parking and shared yard space. The yard is not fully fenced. The only way to access the upstairs is by steep spiral staircase. If you are big and/or tall or have any type of mobility issues this will probably be a challenge for you. We do have a twin sofa bed on the bottom floor. The ceilings are 7ft and the upstairs is a loft-style area with A-frame type ceilings. Please see pictures. :)

Vintage Norwood is a 1930's intimate small carriage house located in the heart of North Asheville in historic Norwood Park. It's just a 5 minute drive to downtown, 10 minutes to Biltmore and a 3 minute drive to the Grove Park Inn. We are located in a walk-able neighborhood with beautiful homes and gardens.

The upstairs apartment features one bedroom, one bath, an eat-in kitchen & small living room. It’s across the courtyard from our home & features glorious wood craftsmanship throughout.

The space
The eat-in kitchen has a microwave, toaster, double burner hot plate, coffee makers ( regular and French press) , tea kettle , blender and all the cookware and utensils you would need. We also provide local coffee and tea for you to make.

The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, quality linens and closet and dresser for belongings. A small desk and chair if you need to work and plenty of electrical outlets for computers, phones , etc. Lamps on each side of the bed are provided for reading.

The cozy sitting room has a small sofa, coffee table, 32" TV, High speed internet and WIFI provided.

The tiled bathroom has a shower, mirrored cabinet for personal items and comfy towels.

Central heating and AC, newly added in May 2023. In addition ceiling fans throughout provide a perfect climate in any season. All the windows are screened to provide fresh air during temperate days and nights. The AC unit that you see in the kitchen pictures is no longer needed with addition of central air conditioning.

Ideally suited for a couple or one person, the apartment is not child-friendly due to the open stairs ( one flight) And while we love dogs (and have one of our own) we do not allow pets.

At approximately 500 SF it is suited for 1 or 2 people.

No cleaning fees! 1 mile from downtown Brevard, but tucked away in a wooded neighborhood for a secluded fee. Kick up your feet in this sweet guest house. The space
The Knob Creek Guest House was built in 1991. It has undergone a big renovation that just finished up in 2023. At just over 1000 square feet. This is a cozy spot to relax after a long day of mountain biking, hiking, or waterfallin’! The furniture and decor have been lovingly curated to make this feel like a home and your hosts use it frequently and an extension for their space as well as to host their friends and family. It has great winter Mountain views and lush green surroundings in the summer. Close to many restaurants, trails, and breweries, this is a little treasure that you need to see to appreciate.

This is an animal free property due to family allergies. This property cannot accommodate camper cans, RVs or other large vehicles due to limited parking space and height clearance. 2 vehicles maximum.

Built in the 1920's, this comfy guest quarter cottage was recently totally renovated and has all we expect in 2023.

The space
The Cottage is one of two house that are on this centrally located property in downtown Brevard. There will be times that other guests or the hosts will be staying In the house next door. There are separate driveways, entries and front porches for each house.

Being located in the walkable center of town does, at times, come with the accompanying sounds of a town center: People walking by, yard work machinery, other homeowners doing house projects and remodeling and the sounds of a vibrant restaurant as a direct neighbor.

Guest access
The Cottage is a separate building and has its own dedicated entrance and its own driveway / parking. Guests have access to the entire cottage, its front yard and patio. There is room for two cars in front.

The space
A charming open living room space welcomes you as you step into the private upstairs apartment with its own exterior entrance. Find cozy wood accents, vaulted ceiling, a living room space with futon & TV, kitchenette, bar for eating, and 2 window seats, one with a cozy reading area and one with small desk for workspace. The bedroom is at the back of the unit and overlooks the swimming pool. The spacious bathroom offers frameless shower and overlooks the horse pasture and Pilot Mountain in the distance.

Guest access
Guests have access to their private apartment above our farmhouse. Guests are welcome to share our pool (seasonal), sit by our waterfall on the front porch or use our firepit. We live on a quiet country lane surrounded by horse farms, perfect for a quiet country stroll.
During your stay, if you needed added food storage, a cooler can be made available. Also, access to our washer / dryer can be arranged. Also a toaster oven & electric griddle can be made available upon request.

Other things to note
We are a farm stay and best suited for guests who enjoy the country and the presence of friendly pets! If you are not a pet person, please let us know and we will strive to keep our pets inside when you are enjoying our outdoor spaces.

The space
Your brand new, modern guest suite was added to our recently remodeled home. From your private entrance, you walk into a large, open and modern guest suite with high ceilings, ceiling fan, and all the features you would expect. One end of the open suite has a super comfortable king size bed with multiple pillow options and a large closet with hangars and ample storage. Next to this is a closet with your personal washer/dryer combo. The other side of the suite offers a small kitchenette, with a separate mini fridge and small freezer, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and electric kettle. A full-size sofa bed, small dresser and TV complete the main room. Off this room is a large private bathroom with a huge walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. We stock all your linens and bath amenities so you don't have to pack them.

Guest access
Your private suite is secured by a keyed smart lock, with a code we provide at check-in. Your off street parking space is just to the right of the garage door (please do not park behind the garage door). A short flight of 4 steps lead to your private covered entry porch. Your private suite is attached to our family home. We are a small, quiet family of 3 with one young child. We make every attempt to keep our noise level down but cannot promise a completely noise-free stay. We observe (and ask that our guests do too) quiet hours from 10pm - 7am.

Other things to note
Our family of 3 humans and 1 cat shares a home with your private guest sweet. We make every attempt to keep our cat out of the guest suite between stays, but we cannot guarantee it if you have a cat allergy. We will do everything in our power to minimize the noise we make, especially early and late. Because we have a happy second grader, we cannot guarantee a completely noise free stay.

Brand new build in 2024. No-smoking 400-square apartment atop our garage features comfortable furniture and linens for a relaxing and peaceful stay. Front porch boasts a birds eye view of surroundings and a mountain view. Five minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway and ten minutes to downtown Asheville. Maximum 2 guests. Guests must ascend 15 steps to front door.

The space
Studio has kitchen with small fridge, induction cooktop, air fryer, toaster, tea kettle but no stove or oven.

Guest access
Guests have full use of Treehouse studio. Keypad provides easy check in. Owners live on site in Main house. Guests have access to hot tub and grill situated on house patio.

Other things to note
Ni Smoking anywhere on premises. This unit is pet free. Guests must ascend 15 steps to the front door. If you are afraid of heights, this is not the unit for you. Studio apartment is approximately 400 square feet.
