Although Mills River Villa may feel secluded, we are only 8 minutes to a grocery store,12 minutes from the Asheville Airport, and just a 20 minute drive into the heart of Asheville. The Pisgah forest mountain line is the backdrop for this property and exciting activities including biking, hiking, kayaking, bird watching and countless waterfalls.

Mills River is HOPping with breweries!
Sierra Nevada Brewery (8 min drive) is one of our favorite places. Anyone that comes to visit, it’s a must. They have an excellent menu and it’s just a really family friendly atmosphere. Often there is live music on a tiered, outdoor auditorium with games for kids and a garden you can walk through.

Mills River Brewery has a beautiful outdoor/dog-friendly seating area and a food truck always on site.
*Mills River Brewery, Bold Rock Cidery and Burning Blush Brewery are a stones throw from the house and can all be found within a one-mile radius.

ASHEVILLE:
20-30 minute drive gets you to Asheville. You can spend and entire day checking out the downtown. Asheville is a foodie town and has everything you could imagine! Most locations offer plant-based and gluten free options. One of our favorite spots is Sunny Point Cafe in West Asheville. *Hole donuts was recently rated the second best donut shop in the nation! If you are into breweries, almost all of them have outdoor seating and food trucks as well as outdoor games for kids. On a pretty day, New Belgium for example is perfect for a family stop. HENDERSONVILLE:
A 20 minute drive East takes you to the charming town of Hendersonville. *The BEST pizza in the area is Pie Squared, in Hendersonville on 191. (try The Tomato Pie)
Hit up the Elijah Craig Gem mine (on 64) for the kids. Once in the downtown area, the parking garage towards north Main Street will give you access to all the quaint shops and restaurants. Make sure to check out Mast General Store and Kilwins Chocolates. Shine and Postero (both on Main Street) are our front runners for a nice dinner.

BREVARD:
Super cute little town. 22 minutes south down 280. Easy enough to park right downtown and walk to all the sights. Blue Ridge Bakery is a must! With kids In tow, you can’t pass up the three story OP Taylor Toy store and then hit up Rocky’s local soda shop. For unique shopping, make sure to check out Mantiques and DDBullwinkles outdoor store. While the kids are still on a sugar high, grab some sandwiches to-go from Food Matters Cafe and head into Pisgah Forest to check out all our beautiful waterfalls.
Looking Glass falls is a short drive into the forest and has parking with a tiny walk down to the falls. For a full days adventure, rent a tube at the entrance of the forest and lazy River tube down the river or spend the day at Sliding Rock. If the weather is dreary, you can check out the Cradle of Forestry for kids entertainment in Pisgah. On a pretty day, the 25 minute drive up 276 from Brevard to the Blue Ridge is worth the spectacular view. If it’s supper time on the parkway, The Pisgah Inn has a stellar and fancy menu.

DUPONT/FLAT ROCK:
DuPont Forest is a must. It’s a 30 minute drive to Park at the High Falls access parking lot (with visitor center and bathrooms) and take the three-mile hike to three stunning waterfalls. (Triple Falls) You can spend an entire day hiking in DuPont but if you’ve got time to spare, head out to Sky Top Orchard or Jeter Mountain Farm. Pick some apples, swing by their petting zoo and don’t forget to snag a hot apple-cider donut! If you would rather a little beauty and serenity, The Carl Sandburg Home is lovely and also has goats for the kiddos.

SALUDA:
If you are into kayaking, river tubing or zip-lining, a half hour drive brings you to the Green River/Saluda area. The cutest little down-town offers quaint shops and restaurants. Make sure to check out the best bakery in the area, Wildflour Bakery and Cafe or The Purple Onion.

The top floor features the main suite, complete with a tub, separate walk-in shower, kitchenette, gas fireplace, and a private deck with a fire pit table, perfect for cozy evenings. The main floor offers two King bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining rooms, and a laundry room. Both bedrooms have private baths, and one of them even has an additional pull-out LazyBoy sofabed for added convenience.

The bottom floor boasts a second kitchen and a large game room, along with the 4th King bedroom, the bunk room, and a shared bathroom. It's the perfect start to adventure or relaxation! The unit has hardwood flooring through the living space and tile in the bathroom areas. It boasts one of the best views in the entire complex.
Apple Valley Villas is a cozy spot with all the basic amenities you need during your visit to the Lake Lure area. The space is equipped with a kitchen, full bathroom and a living room/sleeping area. The tv can be enjoyed from any area in the room. The king sized bed is plenty of space for two people to rest comfortably. If you need additional sleeping area, there is also a sleeper loveseat available. Its double size can comfortably sleep two children or one adult. Almost any meal could be prepared in the villa using the cooktop, microwave or toaster oven. Enjoy a complimentary pot of coffee on your first morning. Step out onto the balcony for a breath of fresh air. Settle into one of the four outdoor chairs and read a good book or just relax.

Cruso Creek is a creekside villa with an interior that has been completely remodeled and furnished with cabin décor. It has a fireplace in the living room that can be used year-round. It features a king-size bed, and the living room has a TV. The villa includes a bathroom with a shower and a small kitchen (refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave). This villa also has a clothes dryer, so you don't have to pack a lot of clothes. Towels, washcloths, and bed linens are provided. There are also two chairs on the porch to relax in as well. It is also about 15 minutes away from the grocery store, and about 25 minutes from Chimney Rock, and the souvenir shopping at the bottom of the mountain."

There may be some units with golf course/woods view, but his group of villas was on top of a hill with dirt bike courses & zip lines on both sides with kids riding bikes all day right outside your door. Our “villa” had 4 units in it, so not separate in each building. We didn’t have a deck, just a sidewalk in front of door on lower level with people stomping around all hours over our heads—poor sound proofing. Lights not working or missing lightbulbs—very dark with poor lighting. Crazy hilly twisty drive to villas with small, hard to back out of parking. Location ok but hidden and hard to find. If you get lower hill villas probably better view. Just ok"

We do provide a starter kit for the home which includes - Dish soap, 1 trash bag, dish detergent for dishwasher, 1 complimentary laundry soap, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 1 bath starter hand soap. But please be prepared to bring any additional supplies that you will need. We only provide things to get you started.

- "We loved the location of this villa and the views! Older parents were with us and thankful no stairs - all one level. Very comfortable upgraded couches were great! The only issue was that we would have liked to be made aware earlier than one week before visit that the access to the country club and golf requires 150 per adult for a week of access even though we were only staying two nights. So, we didn’t golf or make reservation for dinner at the clubhouse. Disappointing but didn’t ruin our weekend. We explored and had dinner at the Smoke & Timber at Hatley’s Point, which I highly recommend. Side note, there is a miscommunication with WiFi access that we couldn’t get an answer about quickly so that caused some issues with internet and tv. The check in email has one WiFi access info and the packet on arrival has another where one digit was written illegible. All worked out in the long run! Great Room with vaullted ceilings , flat screen TV/ ROKU for streaming (no cable), stone wood-burning fireplace. Both bedrooms and great room have ceiling fans, attic fan for those handful of days in summer you might need some cool air flowing. Very nicely furnished, sheets and linens are provided. Pets are allowed with a pet fee. Property offers golf membership and Village Club membership.

BEGINNING SPRING OF 2023, ALL RENTERS WANTING ACCESS TO DINING AT THE COUNTRY CLUB AND PLAYING GOLF WILL HAVE TO CONTACT WOLF MOUNTAIN REALTY TO REQUEST A FORM WHICH WILL BE COMPLETED BY THIS OFFICE AND FORWARDED TO THE CLUB. A PASS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT A CHARGE OF $150 PAID DIRECTLY TO THE CLUB FOR ONE WEEK OF DINING AND/OR GOLF. GREEN AND CART FEES NOT INCLUDED.

Please note - prior to booking there is 21 years of age minimum requirement & must be present during entire stay and is strictly enforced. Driver's License will be required and requested for all bookings. Failure to meet minimum age requirement upon check-in guest will be evicted and will NOT be refunded for the entire stay.

No Pets Allowed: **This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note: if we find an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and charged an additional Non-Refundable fee of $500 and in some cases can be up to $1,000.

No Smoking / or vaping of any kind is permitted in the property: If any signs of smoking / vaping are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $500.00 penalty fee.

We do provide a starter kit for the home which includes - Dish soap, 1 trash bag, dish detergent for dishwasher, 1 complimentary laundry soap, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 1 bath starter hand soap. But please be prepared to bring any additional supplies that you will need. We only provide things to get you started.

Please Note: In lieu of security deposits and booking fees, each LoveRentals booking includes LoveRentals Protect, a limited property protection plan, to provide peace of mind to both our guests and homeowners. The fee for LoveRentals Protect is applied to each booking and covers up to $10,000 in contents damage protection and up to $1,000,000 in real property protection.
