The second bedroom has a queen size bed. There are two tri-fold floor mattresses in the closet along with extra linens. One will accommodate a small child, and the other will accommodate a small adult or child. Feel free to use them in any convenient location throughout the home. A portable crib is offered for the comfort and safety of your little ones.

Hot tub towels are provided in the dressers in each bedroom.

- "We were in town for Race weekend home is quaint. Wish there was a bigger couch and furniture slides. Was no wine opener but, everything else was great!! We had packed our own lawn chairs had a fire out back on a cool evening. Very Relaxing T.V only had free channels, and we wished there would have been one in the Bedroom. But overall, a great place to stay communications was excellent!!! Convenient to many shops' restaurants and the Racetrack. Driveway kind of tight we just learned to back in solved the problem. The main drag is right behind house; however, didn't notice till we had the fire."

We have a variety of very large bedrooms available (check for specific availability as rooms and dates may vary). The home is shared with working professionals, traveling nurses, Temp contractors, students and great folks relocating to the area. The shared kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and appliances. Three shared bathrooms, two with showers, one with claw foot soaking tub are all shared between the 5 guest rooms. Shared dining room or eat at the island in kitchen. Bed linens sheets blankets and pillows are supplied, and your room will be freshly made and ready on arrival. Laundry in home. High Speed Wi-Fi. On and off-street parking available. The thermostat for this building is located in the other unit, but we do set it so that both units should remain comfortable. Built in the early 1930's, the building used to house a restaurant downstairs and the upstairs was a boarding house. The restaurant (Slyman's) and boarding house survived until the early 1980s. The building was purchased in 2018 and went through an extensive renovation process with all new everything!

The apartment is completely self-contained and there are 2 acres of woodland going to a small waterfall that the patio overlook. Private and peaceful with healing properties are often the terms used by guests to describe the farm. Come and see for yourself! Spend a weekend in the country where you can relax and enjoy the farm life. Observe the animals and walk down by the creek. Or just sit on the back porch and enjoy the peace and quiet. You can ride bikes on the country road, go the river and go flyfishing, Holston Lake for swimming or boating. You are 30 mins to Historic Abingdon and the Creeper Trail. You can motorcycle on the backroads, go to the lake or to the river for world famous fly fishing..., and don't forget that Pigeon Forge and Ashville are roughly a hour and a half away. We are close to Bristol City for Rhythm and Roots, Country Music Birthplace, and plenty of antique stores. We have so much to offer. Don't settle for less. This is a farm that I live on. I live in the upper part of the house that is totally separate and you will probably never see me or hear me as I work long shifts. Rufe, a scientist, retired biology professor, ecologist, union organizer, and Federal Employee, is a cook and professional talker and contrarian. He enjoys discussions with almost anyone, anywhere, anytime. He loves travel, jazz, opera, classical music, wine, a good brisk sit on the deck, and cats.
Coffee, tea, cream and sugar, cereal, baked goods, juice, and fruit in season are provided so that you can prepare your breakfast at your own leisure.
Alice, ( photo somewhere), the cat, (named in honor of Alice Walker) to whom CatNap Cottage actually belongs, will allow you to stay at her cottage, but through some misunderstanding of her humans, is not allowed to go inside. She will hang out with you on the front porch or deck and be delighted by your presence and may bring you a furry or feathered tribute.

The home offers one queen bed and twin bunk beds, approved for adults with a 325-pound weight limit. All rooms have smart TVs, so you can access your favorite streaming services (no cable available). Enjoy a Keurig coffee machine with pods provided.

Step outside to relax in a private setting surrounded by trees, featuring a hot tub, large Connect 4, cornhole, a charcoal grill, chairs, and a picnic table. At the end of the street, there’s a park with a playground and six pickleball courts. We provide paddles and pickleballs in the outdoor container by the hot tub.
