- "Super nice" - "I was in the Mooresville/Sherrills Ford area to promote my books at a variety of bookstores, libraries, writer's groups, etc. I needed a comfortable, clean, centrally located space, where I could work and relax in between events. This was PERFECT. I usually travel with my own cast iron skillet, but the small kitchenette had everything else I needed to fix meals. The smoke alarm is right above the counter cooktop, and the heat set it off one time, but all I had to do was turn down the burner and fan the air a little bit. The bed was firm, which I love, the bathroom was spacious, with counter space for my potions and lotions. I enjoyed the quiet cul-de-sac in an established neighborhood. Guests also have access to a wooded walking path. The internet worked great. The hosts were super accessible, answering questions within minutes. I loved this experience."

This spacious guest suite is brand new and built in 2018, it is a private bedroom/bathroom located as part of our house on the ground level. Guests can use the separate room with a table and chairs for eating. The Suite also has its own entrance. The Suite is appointed with hardwood flooring and new furnishings. The Suite is part of a 6000sq. ft. home situated on a point lot with amazing views of Lake Norman. Wake up and see the sunrise or relax on the dock and watch the sunset over the lake! We took our two labs to enjoy the beauty of Lake Norman. Everything we could have needed was included. The private yard is populated with large trees and offers a big natural sandy beach with big cove/island views. The cabin itself has a really neat old stone fireplace, comfortable furniture & beds, and clean. It is well stocked with free coffee, spices, cooking utensils, linens, towels and everything you might need.

This 1990 cabin was completely renovated in the spring of 2018. The brand new kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and all the cookware needed for a fabulous meal.
There are 2 private queen bedrooms, 1 on each level. The loft area has both a twin and a queen. There are two additional inflatable mattresses.
The home has two full baths and a washer and dryer.
As great as the inside of the home is, the main attraction is the large porch facing the lake and the brand new dock. If you are traveling with your own boat, the home has its own private launch. And when you have had your fill of boating, relax on the dock or play a game of horseshoes.

The Space:
The guest house has newer furniture, appliances, electronics, and more.

The bedroom is spacious and quiet, with a large closet and dressers and a high-end television.

The bathroom includes all the necessities (soap, shampoo, etc.), and has a stand up shower. Please note that there is no tub.

The living area is nicely-appointed, with new furniture and a high-end television. If work calls, there is a desk and high-speed Internet access available to all of our guests. See the pictures for the results of a recent speed test. The sofa has a pull-out bed for additional sleeping capacity if needed.

The kitchen has newer stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Spend the evening creating a perfect meal, and enjoy it on the outdoor table on the screened-in porch overlooking the lake.

Guest Access:
Guests have full exclusive access to the entire guest house as well as the screened-in porch. There is a lower deck beside the guest house where guests can access their own private gas grill. The dock is available to all guests for swimming and fishing anytime. My family also uses the dock, so this is a shared space. One boat slip (not covered) is available for guests with boats 25' or smaller. Boats will need to be launched at a nearby public boat ramp, which is only about four miles away by land and right across the cove by water. Parking is available next to the guest house for up to two vehicles. Additional vehicles (including a boat trailer) may be parked on the property, but will be further away from the guest house.

My family and I live in the main house on the property, so we are available to assist if any issues arise during your stay.

Guests will be required to climb one set of exterior stairs in order to access the guest house. There are also a few stairs that lead down to the sidewalk to the dock.

There is a stand-up shower in the bathroom, but there is no tub.

Please keep in mind that our property has a strict no smoking/vaping policy. This applies to our entire property, including not only the guesthouse, but also the porches, patios, dock, and any other part of our property.

- "I just got home from my trip back in NY. So this is about my fifth vacation rental. I have done over the last 3 to 4 years. This trip I let my daughter pick the place which was a little nerve-racking. And due to an unfortunate personal matter after booking we had to change and rearrange the days, which after speaking to the host, Trish worked out perfectly. So we were already off to a great start. This year my daughter brought a friend. When we arrived at the rental, we were delighted. It was a perfect little neighborhood close to the main roads and things that we already had knowledge of. We walked into the rental, which was the second floor above a garage and it was absolutely perfect. Everything looked brand new perfect amount of space, with a huge deck overlooking the lake/Cove as we settled in and started unpacking. We started making a list to go food shopping for the rental had all brand new appliances. Naturally, the girls walk down to the lake and the host. Trish and her husband Bob came over very nice people and ironically they came from New York as well. Unfortunately we had to leave at the end of the vacation but definitely recommend this rental as we are planning to go back in April, possibly if not, definitely in August again."

- "The apartment was true to the pictures. We arrived at night and there was not good outside lighting which made finding the house and the door a little tricky. The neighborhood seemed a bit strange as well, not exactly a residential neighborhood. But once upstairs, the space was inviting, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. There were 3 beds and at least 2 additional fold away beds but only one small bathroom. Also, there is no designated living area. The only TV is in a bedroom. It worked for our needs for a one night business stay but may not work well for some."

- "A short trip with husband and the dogs to visit the numerous NASCAR attractions in the Mooresville Area. Had a very nice time. Husband met Dale Jr. so it was an AWESOME trip for him. House is in a nice location near downtown Mooresville, easy short drive to Jr. Motorsports, Penske and others. House was cute and clean. Fenced in yard was nice for the dogs. But it is on a very busy road and the gates didn't secure great so we added a tie out for the younger one just to keep her honest and safe. We live in a rural area where we dont see traffic...we all enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the traffic, people running walking by. Shower was hot and with good pressure. Couch & recliner were very comfy. Master bed was a little firm for me but husband was comfy. Could use a night stand on the other side.Never went upstairs - but I'm sure it was as cute and comfy as downstairs. If you want a clean comfy cabin centrally located...this is the place for you. "

HOUSE RULES
INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION, BACKGROUND, and PHOTO ID—To complete your booking, the primary account holder needs to undergo an Independent Identity Verification and Background History Check. You will receive instructions on submitting your government-issued ID, along with some basic information, after your reservation is conditionally approved. This process is standard for identity verification and is crucial for emergencies.
You must complete the process within 72 hours to remain eligible for a refund. If unapproved, you’ll receive a full refund if you completed it within the given time frame. Failing to complete it within 7 days will result in the cancellation of your booking without a refund. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all our guests.
AGE RESTRICTIONS – All guests must be 22 years old or older or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
NO 3RD-PARTY BOOKINGS— To comply with the rental platform’s terms and policies, the person making the reservation must be the primary guest staying in the Home. If the person making the reservation will not be staying at the Home, you must let us know. In this case, the account of the guests staying in the Home should be added to the reservation as an “additional guest.”
UNLISTED GUESTS—Your reservation details must include all adult overnight guests staying with you. Each additional unlisted guest will incur a $100 fee per night, and any other costs associated with remediating the situation. Housing unlisted guests violates the platform’s terms and policies and puts the guests at risk of uncovered liability. The reserving guest is solely responsible for all damages and costs.
GUESTS WHO LIVE LOCALLY—We do not permit reservations from guests residing within a 60-mile radius of the Home without written approval. If you live locally to the Home, you are required to notify us at the time of making your reservation and request explicit permission from us in advance. Failure to obtain authorization will result in the immediate termination of your reservation without a refund.
AMENITY USAGE— Community and home amenities are reserved only for guests listed on the reservation. Amenities such as community pools and gyms are unavailable to the reservation holders’ friends or family. Violating this may result in the termination of your reservation, community fines, and you will be responsible for any other costs associated with resolving the situation.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS—No parties or unapproved events are allowed in the Home or the community. Any number of friends, family, or visitors exceeding the Home’s advertised occupancy must first be approved by the hosts. Violating this policy will result in the immediate termination of your reservation, forfeiture of any opportunity for a refund, and a $200 fine in addition to any repair costs.
Hosting any guests not listed on the reservation during the community quiet hours will automatically qualify as a party/event and incur the full stated penalty.
If the police, community courtesy officer, community leasing office, or any other relevant authority is contacted as a result of any disturbance created by you or your guests, it will automatically qualify as a party/event and incur the full stated penalty.
TRASH AND WASTE HANDLING—Most of our properties offer a valet trash service or a similar option for easy waste disposal.
You should NOT place trash outside during the day, or the community may levy a fine against us. All fines will be passed on to the guest.
All trash must be put in a trash bag and fit inside the trash bin with the lid closed.
Upon check-out, the housekeeper will handle up to two trash bags. If you have more than two trash bags, you are responsible for taking the additional bags to the community dumpster. Leaving behind more than two trash bags will result in a $25 fine to cover extra housekeeping costs.
NO FURNITURE MOVING - Please keep furniture in its original location. Any rearranged furniture must be returned to its original location before check-out.
NO FOOD OR DRINK IN BEDROOMS—Food and beverages other than water are prohibited in the bedrooms. Any stains or damages will result in additional charges.
CLEANING - At the sole discretion of the hosts, if an unreasonable mess is found after your check-out, you will be charged an additional cleaning fee of $90.
TOWELS AND LINENS - Use the provided towelettes and washcloths labeled “Makeup” to remove makeup, foundation, face creams, medication, tanning products, etc. If you accidentally stain any items, please inform the hosts.

Home is close to Charlotte and downtown Davidson college. Great for the business traveler and that college student who wants to be close to friends college but far away just enough. Near Lake Norman which is a 8 min drive. Also 5 miles from Lowe’s corporate. I can accommodate up to 3 people if needed in a separate room. Perfect for a quiet night’s rest for traveling and for those parent’s looking for colleges for their kid. Need a separate space from a friend or loved one traveling with you? I can accommodate 2 separate rooms just ask about it when booking and no extra charge for 2 guests unless there are more then 2. Comfort and style at a affordable price I offer! Stay in our beautiful restored 1920s craftsman style home in the heart of Mooresville's historic district. Only 2 blocks from downtown, great restaurants, galleries, bars, and boutiques are within walking distance from the house. This private master suite includes king size bedroom, a private sunroom with a second bed, a spacious closet & walk-through dressing room, and private bathroom with tub & tiled shower. The home has hardwood floors, spacious common living areas, and a large kitchen.

All common areas are open to you. There is a tv with Blu-ray player in the theater room, as well as a tv in your private sunroom. Feel free to make full use of the chef’s kitchen; there are gadgets here to whip up anything from simple to a gourmet meal. There’s fitness equipment in the theater room and laundry facilities available for your use as well. Candle lit evenings on the front porch or by the fireplace are a nice way to end the day.

Welcome to Bucksport Cottage! Named for my wife's late father, Buck, the "cottage" is situated on a quiet, tree-lined street in old Mooresville. We are a quick walk to downtown with restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, a wine bar and music room, a brew pub and other amenities. We currently rent only 1 room at a time, so you will have the 2nd floor to yourself.

Lowe's Corporate Headquarters is less than 15 minutes. Travel time to Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 45 minutes.

The space
The Cherry Room is the larger of two bedrooms available for rent in Bucksport Cottage. Complete with a queen bed, wardrobe and breakfast nook, the Roost is perfect for single travelers, couples or friends. It's a front-facing room right off the upstairs bonus room.

Guest access
The CherryRoom is one of two bedrooms available for rent upstairs in the cottage. Rooms can be rented together (for larger parties).

The second room is listed under "The Green Room."

My wife and I live downstairs with our own private bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Please let us know if you have any allergies or aversions and we'll do our best to keep Crosby downstairs.
