- "We stayed for a week in July. The condo is in an established neighborhood, and has been remodeled, it was very clean and well furnished. All the furniture was clean and very comfortable. We did not cook a lot during our stay but the kitchen had all the basics and was very nice. There was an issue with the a/c during our stay. I cannot stress enough the proprerty manager was very responsive and went above and beyond to resolve the issue for us! They have done a great job making this condo feel like a home a way from home. There were all kinds of touches that really made our stay extra nice. All the basics were provided including some nice extras: TP, PT, soap, detergent, coffee, tea, baggies, plenty of towels, basic toiletries, etc. Of note, the beds are both pretty high off the floor, they have stools if you need them in each room, it was not an issue for us, but just to note. The location of the condo was close to High Point University and lots of stores and places to eat. The neighborhood seemed nice and was very quiet. We appreciated the communication during and before stay from the property manager. We would definitely stay here again."

When you walk in the front door you're immediately greeted by the first living room! You will notice the spacious and relaxing the vibe of your home away from home. The home has a Security System that will make your stay stress-free. There is a doorbell camera facing the front exterior of the home and 1 camera that faces a portion of the backyard, side gate and back door to the house in the same view.

Built in 1938, lovingly remodeled in 2020, we aimed to save the character and feel of yesteryear while adding todays modern conveniences. We also own and rent out two additional properties, Quietude Place [a 2 bed, 1 bath (sleeps 2-4)] below this unit and Tranquility Cottage about 100 feet away [a 3 bed, 2 bath (sleeps 4-8 plus 1 child). We do our best to keep everything prepared for all guests. For insurance purposes, it’s important you share the exact number of guests that will occupy the dwelling. The number of guests your booking shows should be the same number of guests sleeping in the house.

Our driveway leads to this dwelling and to 2 other dwellings. If you have more than 1 vehicle there’s room for several more at the end of the driveway. Please keep the driveway open for other cars to pass at all times. No cars can park obstructing the driveway for any reason at any time.

Parking for 1 vehicle for this unit is on the concrete pad in front of the dwelling. Sidewalk leads from the concrete pad to the bottom of the steps leading to the deck entry.

Guests are subject to additional cleaning fees if excessive cleaning is required.

Trash cans are located on the exterior driveway side of the Tranquility Cottage and are used by all 3 of our properties.

Cameras are located on all 4 sides of the home, please drive with caution on the driveway as though your children are playing. Site Speed Limit is 10 MPH.

Although this is a private location, please keep Quiet Hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. This is not a place for parties.

This cozy, well decorated, ground level suite in the downtown historic emerywood neighborhood offers many amenities with parking just a few steps from the front door. Close to downtown, 1 block to the hospital, High Point Medical Center, 3 mins to Rocker Stadium & Center. The en-suite offers a well equipped kitchenette & bathrm along with a cush queen sized bed & 50 inch TV. Guests have sole use of the front porch entryway w/comfortable wicker chairs and cafe table. We had a wedding in Winston so we were looking for inexpensive and only somewhere to sleep. We were there literally 17 hours. Jude was super nice!"

- "My stay got off to a rough start. When I got into town, there were no check-in instructions waiting in my inbox. When I requested them, I was simply sent a code for the lock box—which worked, opened the door, and saw a construction zone. When I finally got a hold of the host, they let me know I was actually in the upstairs unit, not the unit in the listing title.I got upstairs and there was no key in the lockbox. The downstairs key didn’t work for this door, so I was not able to enter. The host sent the cleaner to open the door as he must not live locally, so I waited for about 25 minutes. The host did offer a refund for the inconvenience. The apartment itself is fine overall. Cleanish—a bit grimy but nothing super gross. The bathroom is small and a DIY reno: the toilet seat was held on by a wrench and the shower rod wasn’t attached at all. Beds are comfy but linens are basic. A few things to note:—there are no working outside lights on the property. Bring a flashlight if you get there after dark. —WiFi is slow/spotty. I wouldn’t plan any meetings with video here. —there is no kettle to boil water in for the provided French press and no other way to make coffee. The kitchen is semi-stocked. Enough to get by but you couldn’t do a lot of cooking there. —there are only sheer curtains in all the bedrooms, so I assume the neighbors can see in when it’s dark, and I was woken up with the sun. The windows are not well sealed and do not keep out much noise. "

Please note condo is not as pictured. There isn't a sofa, tv, or wifi. The condo has a full kitchen/bath, futon, futon bunk bed, and table. In the winter months, the window unit heater and infrared heater do not warm condo quickly. In the summer months, the 2 window unit ACs do not cool condo quickly. Allow time to get unit to your comfortable temperature. Prolonged heating / cooling may cause breakers to trip. Limit use as much as possible. The fuse box is next to the back door in the kitchen. Please notify host if you have any electrical or other issues. If using the dryer, the heaters or ACs should not be on at the same time. This is a large house split in two wings all on one floor. It has 4 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. 2 of the rooms are private suites. The kitchen is large and each long term guest will have their own cabinet and space in the fridge. All the cooking essentials are there. Strict occupancy. 1 person per room. Private bathroom.

All guests must clean up after themselves in the kitchen and bathroom. Please be respectful of the space and of others. Weekly cleaning of main areas are provided by the host.

Please keep in mind-This is not a luxury 5 star hotel with employees. Please keep expectations realistic. You will have a clean room, clean sheets and a safe/affordable place to stay that should feel like a home.
